  • Great stuff mate. Keep posting.

  • Just poasted my own cover of this song, as a video response... How d'you get so many thousands of hits, man?

  • Great job - I enjoyed it!

  • Very well done. I know on alot of their songs that Simon capps his guitar a few fretts up. Do you know if he originally wrote the song in G or is it in another chord. Some artist sing in the wierdest of chords like the beautiful voice of Patsy Cline. She seldom sang in a major...alot of sharps/minors.flats

  • Really good. Your shorts take their name very seriously.

  • I use a capo , no crime , especially if it comes out this good !

  • WHere is your head. Have you lost your head man?

    Fine performance anyway.

  • Very Very Good man ! :)

  • This is amazing.

  • I love this song. You did a very nice job!

  • Wow -- VERY impressive. I will always regret not having pursued learning to play the guitar, guess it's never too late to learn something new, eh? Nice voice you have!

  • @lovejd73 It's not too late!! I am 66 years old and I began playing 6 months ago. I'm still a novice. But I just love being able to play Eagles, Rod Stewart, John Denver, Beatles songs. I never thought I had any musical talent but with my $300 guitar and six metal strings I can bring out some talent that was hidden for MANY years.

  • @josiechas good for you. I bought a guitar and it stayed in my closet for 20 yrs. I've been playing for 4 yrs and can't put it (them,I have a bad guitar addiction) down. keep playin'.

  • @Rainman270 Thanks for your encouragement, I took a quick visit to your channel and found that you are an excellent guitarist with a very smooth style. I'm very envious! lol !

Maybe in four years I will be able to play like that

  • @josiechas " Thanks for your encouragement, I took a quick visit to your channel and found that you are an excellent guitarist with a very smooth style. I'm very envious! lol ! "

Thanks for the compliment, but none of those are me. I haven't posted any yet. I just favorited that video. good luck. :)

  • outstanding!!

  • That is awesome!! I play this too but not as intricately as this. You have inspired me to learn this version. Which, to me, sounds just like the way S & G recorded it. Thanks for posting as I will be learning it from your video!!

  • Excellent!

  • I love this song very much. I'd love to sing it like you sing with guitar.

How long will it take till I can play it good? Thank you very much!

  • This song blisses me out!

  • fantastic! trying to learn this myself but cant get the picking pattern being a learner any chance of a lesson.

  • Wow. Another great song from you. Thanks for posting.

Can you show us how to play this pleeeeeseee.

    Thanks.

  • hey buddy how did u learn that, tab or what?

  • Is that guitar by any chance a Galager? (or however it's spelled)

  • @C14cinema The guitar is made by Tacoma.

  • complimenti dall'italia

  • excellent.

  • great job!!

  • Nice guitar playing and singing. Thanks for posting

  • Could you do a tutorial of this? I would really love that! Thanks!

  • Nice version, nice and steady. Love the way you play the bit at 36 seconds, not seen it played like that before.

  • Hey are you sure it doesn't go with a capo on the second fret? I think it sound better like that

  • Thats a song about a cuckoo, it is an english poem that Paul turned into a song. Brilliant ! Well played and sung more S & G PLEASE

  • thatta boy!

  • with your voice would maybe be better to capo on 3 or even 4th fret...?

  • god lord, paul simon, you were something special. that is a great guitar part, thanks man

  • awesome man! great voice.

  • Nice job thanks for sharing.

  • This is one of my very favorites, thanks for posting Mike.

  • Very well done ? Where can I found the tabs ?

  • would you be able to show/tell how you play it exactly? finger picking and all....am trying to work it out but not quite getting it..it sounds perfect the way you have it.. : )

  • Ditto

  • Just so simple. Brilliant.

  • man, I can't help but subscribe to you right away you are an awesome teacher and much as a guitarist. Thanks for your tutorials it really made me buy an acoustic guitar again now I am learning from you.

  • thank you, your video help me to play the right chords.

  • very good! excellent!!

  • great job.

  • excellent fingerpicking, really comes out clear. i cant do it without holding my pinky against the body of the guitar, and that hurts after a while.

  • You don't need a capo to play any song. The only purpose of a capo is to switch between keys to suit your voice. This guy has a good enough voice to sing in a lower key (no capo), nothing wrong with that. Trust me, it sounds the same to you right now as the studio version would. Try humming the studio version right now. I doubt you can.

  • Dear Uncledave53,

Please could you post a better video of yourself doing this piece?

    I doubt it!

  • I doubt you could tell the difference if I played both keys to you.

  • awesome...

  • Good pickin', good rhythm. There's one chord change to F which sounds slightly out of key, but I cannot think up the right chord right now.

  • really nice. whats that chord that you slide down a little ? It looks like a C form.

  • Hey nice job... The voice is fantastic too. I agree about showing the face--you really should next time. Dont worry. :)

  • Nice work.

  • Sencillamente perfecto. Precioso y perfecto.

  • you have a few wierd chords in there but it sounds good

  • maybe he's paul simon so he doesn't want to show his face!

  • Paul Simons has hairier legs

  • shorter fingers too ^^

  • yeah, pretty good pickin' there. not buttery oozy perfect... but that's not easy to have.

  • good.

  • wow great guitar and amazing voice !

  • Very nice! Next time don't be afraid to show your face. :)

  • nice nicer the nicest ♥

  • bravo! I was so surprised at overall beauty. great job!!

  • Beautiful..Thank you for sharing..

  • Beautiful!! Well done.

  • neat

  • Hi- excellent. I see you've posted other tutorial video's. Would it be possible to do the same for April CSW? I'd be very grateful.

    Best wishes from Scotland.!

  • Excellent job with a beautiful song. Do you ever perform and if so, where? It'd be great if you made a CD of some of these songs you are posting!

  • really good cover version...I like zhis cover version

  • sei grande fratello!!! 10 E LODE

    posso conoscerti??? :)*

  • Before I say I admire your guitar, of course, I would like to declare that if not the best, you're one of the best... But I just want to know what brand is your guitar. Is that a 'made to order'? I hope it does not cost much.

  • Man you're a good guitar player.

  • what sort of picking is that? i can never figure it out!?

    *thanks*

  • semplicemente da paura!!!!!!!

  • beautiful <3 guitar and singing is awesome :D

  • Fantastic guitar and singing ... but why could we not see you????

  • This is one of the best covers of this song ive ever heard.

  • that is a nice sounding guitar. pretty good singing.

  • straight and clean.

  • Impressive.

Did you tune your guitar 1/4 step down or is it standard tuning?

  • This is standard tuning.

  • @mtreed55 The album/live version is capoed at the first fret, and is therefore a half step up from this

  • Where did you learn how to play this? I'd really like to play this on my guitar...

  • I'm really impressed. That was a wonderful version of a truly wonderful song :)

  • That was a beautiful job! I would've loved to see your face as you played:)

  • Beautiful.

  • That was fantastic. Spot on playing!

  • Nice! What is that chord you play while singing "May"?

  • The C chord slides up two frets which is then the D chord with an added "g" note. The 1st and 6th "e" strings are not played.

  • solid.

  • excellent..Could you do a lesson on this picking????.please please please.

  • very very good...congratulations :-)

  • a-1
