  • ive reccently been able to do the advanced tuck planche. next is this once im able to hold the advanced one for about 30 seconds or more. my gymnastics coach says to move onto the straddle planche once i can hold the advanced tuck planche for 15 seconds becuz of its difficulty but i choose 30 seconds

  • hey jadasdiga, im 14 and im in gymnastics you shouldnt be saying little kids cant do this, because i can and i can iron cross on rings. if you dont no what is just type in iron cross rings in youtubes search engine. so anyway heres some tips. lean your shoulders forward to help straighten your body out ,that will help make it easier for you too balance and do more. and good job on keeping a nice tight body. that also helps alot.

  • Im not trying to hate, what you are able to do is great, im working on it too, the only thing is your form is lacking, some of those push ups arent even push full push ups. Also I think you went to fast. Other than that though good work!

  • no offence but those just arent pushups

    work on holding the static straddle planche with perfect form (ARMS STRAIGHT and hips LEVEL with shoulders). after you can do this for 10 seconds, lower slowly (keeping hips level) until your chest touches the ground.

    do this until you can lower slowly (20 seconds from top to bottom).

    after this lower with 5 second holds at the top, middle and bottom.

    finally work on pushing back up at the bottom. then post a new video

  • stiffer and tighter is better. your back muscles were giving out by the time you got to 8. keep everything tight especially your legs and it will look much better. Make sure they are locked out. you have a lot of strength. Now you need control. keep up the hard work.

  • Well, your form is awful, keep your body as stiff as possible, try to avoid the banging motion that occurs when the legs are moving up and down out of sync with the waste and upper body. Keep up the hard work!

  • its good but they were pretty shitty planches, go slow and actually push up, your just kinda like, locking your arm, idk its confusing just, do them slower, with better extension of your arms

  • How do you mean just locking my arms? Are you refering to a technique that would place my arms closer to vertical creating more height in the planche? If so Please explain how to accomplish this. I can do a full straight planche but I lean so far forward that my chest is only inches off the ground I'm sure there's a better technique that will give me height. All feedback is appreciated thanks!

  • Thehamez meant that you're just bouncing into the reps. In some of those, the lock-out and execution was fine; but in other ones, it was just too bent and pompous. Do it slower.

    There's 2 good ways to increase height in the planche; one's simple, but difficult, and one requires some concentration. The first would be to do it on fingertips. Ahahahahaha =D

    The second would be to assume a pseudo planche push up position (look it up) then pick a spot on the wall directly in line with your sight.

  • Then, put a piece of tape or a mark or something on the wall and look at it while doing the planche again. If you looked right (right, as in, directly AT IT), you should be higher.

  • stop doing them when your hips cant stay in sholder hight. or when you cant fully extendt your arms. i would go back to the advanced tuck planche pushup and do slow pushups with correct form. add some weight if you have to. keep it up!

    he means work on your extension thru your lower back . as this was a year ago this might be a weakness that you have already addressed. Keeping the back locked out and legs straight will put enormous pressure on your... well.... everything. Keep training. Even to get to that point is amazing so better form will make it look even that much more impressive. keep your hips and toes the same level as your shoulders and you'll be fine... again if you haven't already done this.

  • id say do it slower than that to get the motion you have to be in to do it correctly and not shaking and swinging. slow it down and keep it parallel with the ground. but thats really good

  • It's not only upperbody strength, Core strength training is also a huge part of this as well, incorporates in balance, control, and most of all, strength.
