Well he should get the laws changed. Run for office, and try to change it when you are elected. Or, vote for people who will change the law to suit you.
This guy needs to learn about representitive government, and how it works. He doesnt want to pay for car registration --- welcome to the club. Well, tell that to your representitives, get them end the law requiring registration fees.
this guy is retarded, he shows to say he isnt going to cooperate, but then he cooperates. he didnt even prepare. you cant show up and say "well heres what i think.." do your research and show up and say "well heres what the supreme court says" you give them jurisdiction over you when you dont object to what they give you, when you lay around waiting for the fine to finally be paid, waiting for them to suspend your license because you didnt pay. I get what you are trying, but you need law to win.
I like that in principal you didn't have to pay the fine, but I am having trouble understanding what exactly happened here. Was it a win for you or a loss? It seems to me to be a loss because the judge still assessed the penalties
It is a fundamental right to use that which you pay a tax designated for the use of. I.E. paying "gas tax" entitles you to use the road that the tax paid for. That one tax alone entitles you to use the road it was for and since it was paid through the gasoline for your automobile this means you have a common RIGHT to use the public roads to travel upon. The gov cannot deny you use of the road for which you have paid a tax by claiming you must pay other innumerable taxes first.
The roads are designed, constructed, and protected as a result of the taxes garnered from things such as registrations. If you had built the road, then I would understand the opposition to register.
I agree. There is no justification for protest in this case. You do not have to drive, nor use public roads. If you do so, you need to pay the taxes just as everyone else. If you don't agree with registration and/or do not want to pay the taxes, you do not have to - simply don't drive a vehicle on public roads.
Honestly do you think a modest sales tax would not pay for roads. less than 1% of legal fines acomponied with income tax goes to transportation funding. The reason we must register our vehicles is so the state can use them during a major crisis as stated . When you purchase a car the manufacturers title is co-owned with the state for that purpose. Ive dealt with this twice in Oregon and so far had both charges dismissed.
WRONG! Not in Kentucky the gas taxes fund the roads. People use words they don't understand Drive is a commercial term, passenger means the one riding with you is paying you like a Taxi or Bus. Motor Vehicle any Contrivance propelled or drawn & used for commercial purposes on the HIGHway Where are the FREEways? Government MUST provide a way between properties otherwise we'd all be TRESSPASSERS Learn what they're doing Liening a security! He did build the road! With excise taxes! +ya2keepya
I am not sure of the point of this video. i understand the point of civil disobedience and of securing our Constitutional rights. However, the driver was stopped because of a safety issue. He did not dispute the safety issue. The car was not registered. If you are disputing the need to register then perhaps you should not be driving.
This is ridiculous! The only ? you can ask is if this is a safety violation when the officer is the prosecutor, arresting officer and witness, come on, really! Have you read a single word of the statutes of New Hampshire? lol, succeeds, yeah at going to jail and having his car taken away, awesome demo!
@TackleTheWorld So what was accomplished here? You say you prefer non-cooperation, but that fails miserably. Marc's scripts at least expose the fraud, and very nicely i might add. Is there a reason why i haven't seen Marc's defense use in any of these videos.
the judge was very deceptive to make the guy think the only chance he would have to say something was in testimony, then in testimony he says, its too late for that now
No but he did get fined. The judge suspended the fine based on his driving record. If he commits a crime within 90 days he will end up having the pay the fine.

See how that works?

I am surprised they allowed the video recording.
Good job on the video editing.
Are you familiar with Marc Stevens author of "Adventures in Legal Land"?

We have a number of followers of Marc Stevens here in Keene. But David and I prefer the straight-forward non-cooperation method.

Did you notice that the last three digits of the assessed fine was 333, which is exactly half of you-know what!
And did you see the GOLD FRINGE on the flag behind the judge? This all just confirms what I've suspected all along.

Brilliant, and congratulations! The judge's reaction to it was the best part as well. He just simply didn't know what to do. :)
Keep fighting the good fight!
