love it. which trail did you use? I climbed the Fujinomiya route, the steepest. it was brutal, but awesome. did you go alone? took us 4 hours to get to the top from the 5th station, but only 2hrs to get back down. I am a fool because I wanna go again.
i'm doing rehab on my knee right now. if you're on a national health care it's really cheap to do rehab work. i suggest single leg exercises to increase secondary muscles and improve your balance.
@7rayes Yeah I'd agree with that...almost. "Those climb Mt. Fuji are crazy. Those who climb it twice hate themselves."
Don't be jealous. The view is nice, but you're hot inside, cold outside, tired, dirty and then you have to climb back down. And they charge for the bathrooms.
But it's not too bad if you have good company. :o)
Way to go. I don't think i would be able to do it personally. The last mountain(s) i attempted to climb were in Oregon and they weren't the highest of peaks but my fear of heights got the best of me before i could reach the summit. : ( Climbing wasn't the issue it was my darn phobia.... : /
@dre3k78 Going down is too hard; you'd have to keep going up and then take the designated descent routes. Also, climb at night! Nothing to see and be scared of! :o)
I loved how your voices were changing between shots and I could tell you were quite tired by the time you got to the top. Nice job on documenting this... pretty interesting stuff. Btw.. how the heck did you manage to upload a 12-minute video. I thought 10 minutes was max ?
@MangoCakesPro It wasn't so bad until after the 7th station, where the actual rocks started...7th to 8th stations were a nightmare exacerbated by the dark.

@superspryte Hah yeah might be able to do it at night as long as i don't wander off the path and fall off the mountain! : O

@dre3k78 You'd have to be afraid of heights and blind too for that, trust me. The path is pretty well marked.

@AllenKevorkov Looks like the video limit isn't really based on time anymore...? Dunno.
Yeah, I was pretty upset that the summit section had such shoddy audio quality. You could probably also hear my face going numb, haha.

The best thing about climbing a mountain is that you go so slow that your ears don't pop like they do in planes.
sodacan3 1 year ago
@sodacan3 My ears poppped, although it was more subtle than on a plane. And they didn't want to unpop on the descent either.

After the first 5 feet, I'd give up. lol
