BAH! I remember this game. I remember all my towns turning against me, destroying themselves, and then people jumping out of them, rebeled, and cutting them to the ground! I didnt understand how this game worked until the last few times I played it. Lol.
This game isn't all that difficult. Your best bet is just spam the enemy with weapons and crush them with a rush of forces. Though, that strategy may not work as well against a large number of opponents.

@aragorndick place a market next to a village from another kingdom, send stuff to that market by a caravan and you will start selling your wares to that kingdom, atleast if you have a trade treaty with them

I stop playing this because when i hit 9 speed well 2 sec the game is over lol. In the day i need to use the TURBO bottum on my pc to boost the speed of the game lol. When i had a full map with units its lagging the crap out my pc every damn time lol. Now its a joke for the modern pc.
in my opinion this is the bet ever ever real time tactical/strategy game when not comparing to total war series ..... till 2day i can't stop playing it ... since i was student ... entered faculty of dentistry ... became a dentist and still loving it !!!!
I've played it so many times, that once I changed my style of gameplay and I was following the CPU style lol. If you're good enough player no CPU will beat you, even with alone king it's not difficult to destroy the 10k+pop&military kingodm.Game is perfect.
i have the game and im pretty good at it at moment im in a 1vs 1 with strong kingdom on another island i have 5k population score and 4300 miltary nad over 10mill gold the other kingdom has 4500 millitary but less population and money i keep sending all 7 gods to torment them lol aswell as galleons and ive now started to make 180 weapsons then putting them on 20 galleons and owning alot of there soldiers but theu just grow back in military

hay f#$% you i never played this yet but i was playing 7K2 before i was going to school and it's the greatest rts to me to date
i could same the same thing that how could you not have huge creative looking monsters (bermah are my fav) to fight like how in every other rts they just use the generic orcs?
i once herd someone say they were glad that they took out water in 7K2 saying that the whole water thing just slowed the game down withyou needing to relocate on new ground and all that...........
Just a personal preference but in SKAA it felt like there was more character to the game. If I was playing as the Vikings I would love to take all my hard looking blokes across the sea for a rampage :D and the skill it took to land troops effectively from sea really made it a very satisfying experience. IMO in SK2 the frythans were a poorly conceived faction to play as it was too basic a system to sustain long term forcing you to go to war all the time
ya they really kinda dumbed down the fytans from the traditional game play of 7K aside from having to capture independent towns
the com ai will never be nice to you in the game no matter what , but if you were to play against other ppl you could play as a fytan and still be as dependent on diplomacy as the human players
in the campaign mode they serve a role a good deal in the whole mini story , but hay if push comes to shove you could just not play with as them i guess..........
@MarCBlood - Ships aren't all that useful in most games unless you play an island map. I do have a map code for a rather good sea map. At least assuming the map codes are the same between the original and various open source versions.
@doublespike90 - The second game comes with trade offs. You lose the ability to play a naval style map, which is rather annoying since I tended to play as a naval power so that my kingdom could be built more on taxes then resource exploitation.

@joshfx99 I found it after just searching all over the net on torrent websites so if you just keep looking you should find it -- sorry I don't have the link.
I'm having trouble playing my game and I have no idea why. I'm playing it on my iMac using Bootcamp to run XP. I've played it before but I reformatted my computer and now it won't play anymore. Command & Conquer Gold won't play either. Sim City 3000 and The Sims work finely. : /
Best part about this game is what many older MS windows games could not: run on windows 7 without any compatibility tweaking.
