Joe Rogan sure does love to state theory as fact. I fully advocate DMT, however I DO NOT believe that dreaming is a dmt trip. I've done both and they are nothing alike whatsoever. There is no hard evidence of an increase in DMT during REM sleep, Rick Strassman just theorized about it.

I had the most realistic dream of my entire life yesterday it was about myself and things i experienced. I kept jumping from one place to another with different people(people i do not know and people i do know) and i could see people's faces even though i had never met them in real life.. anyways i kept jumping from one place to another Allmost like scenes in a movie. and there where about 10 scenes but i can only remember one of them now. I was in a school, college or university and i was-

Now.. I have never done any psychedelic's in my life but im pretty sure they would be something like this dream.

DMT is a very interesting and mind-opening substance that should be studied and experimented with more for the sake of progress.

However, Mr Rogan, although a well-intentioned man who promotes DMT; is no scientist. I get the impression that he believes himself to know more than he does. There is no evidence that suggests DMT is made during sleep. Also, it is just a theory that DMT is made in the pineal gland. Talk to a biochemist if you want better intel.
