Your videos for using a GPS are the best. I have started hiking with a group which a few have GPSs. I started looking for instructions and tutorials, and yours are the best!
do you know if the most basic garmin trail gps has a breadcrumb backtrack feature? i go hunting and just need limited features of garmins gps units. i dont geo cash or anything like that.
@coreyrav4 It does, but I would really suggest getting a unit that at least can load detailed maps, and that has an electronic compass an barometric altimeter. I guarantee that as a hunter those features will come in handy.
I have a question. I hope I can get an answer. I have the same device. Are we able to load an existing track and make a trackback... and meanwhile; at the same time track our hike?
@beltatex To answer your question, the GPS will continue logging your track even when using the trackback feature, unless you turn off the tracklog. You don't have to do anything; just hit the trackback button and start following your route. You'll see that as you walk your new track will be visible on top of the track you're retracing.
