  • When Bird came back in the video does anyone know what song was playing? Btw Go celtics

  • He broke half his face on that fall. C's always have the best comebacks.

  • He broke half his face on that fall. Celtics have always had the best comebacks. Rondo's elbow? Holy shit!! Love Boston.

  • Damn I miss him!

  • 1:45, the sonics were in trouble?

  • Larry Bird and Dirk Nowitzki are both of white players in NBA that they are very smart their mind. Larry Bird is the best player in history NBA!

  • air jordans < air birds

  • how much were the celtics down by when bird came back?

  • Christ, Chuck Persons was a real jackass, wasn't he?

  • bird`s back was hurt for the last 5 years of his career and he still average 20 pt 10 reb

Amare`s hurt for he last three games of series and he complained after every game big difference between old school hard nose vs new school

  • those in the nba now, when they are hurt, their out... because they kno they are getting paid... as for bird, he dont give a shit about the money, nor his bad back and sprained fingers.. he just wants to win!! #1 basketball player

  • and this is just 1 example why Larry Legend was the clutchest player ever in all of sports!!!!

  • @talithalengner2050 Get the fuck off the internet with all that SPAM shit.

  • this was so inspirational that paul pierce had to try it out years later...

  • That was epic and heartfelt watching bird came back to lead his team to victory.

  • What they didn't say here was that the Celtics won that game 124-121. Most amazing comeback I've read about.

  • The nba needs more players who will lay their heart outs every night, give the skin off their knees and elbows, KG is basically the only current star i cant think of who plays every game like his last, the nba will be even worse when they're all gone, its funner watching shitty teams then it is good teams, at least the shitty teams dive on the floor for loose balls

  • You know something......watching Person acting like an asshole just sets up Larry's comeback perfectly.

  • @jakemcclain30 And that was totally the story of that series. C's lost in the next round though...6 game heart breaker to Detroit. C's were up 2-1 in that one then dropped 3 straight. ='(

  • As a big Larry Bird fan, this is one of my favorite memories. A little earlier, when Jack Ramsey was coaching the Pacers, he was asked what his team needed. His answer was 'a forward who would rebound.' In your face Chuck Person.

  • Just watched Pistol's 68 point game--what a shooter!! and a great ball handler. He was definitely way ahead of his time. My favorite display of great shooting is Bird's 60 point game where the Atlanta Hawks bench players are falling off the bench in disbelief of the shots he was making. The Pistol was great but I feel Bird's total game made him a better player.

  • What a comeback especially after hitting his face on the floor.Chuck Person thought he was bad being the "rifleman" but nobody could outgun Bird. His total game just dwarfed Person's and Bird relished putting the Pacers away!!

  • @mrho4speed PISTOL PETE HAD MORE OF THESE KINDS OF SHOTS THAN BIRD COULD EVER DREAM ABOUT..WATCH THE PETE MARAVICH 68 POINT GAME SHOT BY SHOT HERE ON YOUTUBE..YOU WILL BE A BELIEVER OF THE BEST BASKETBALL PLAYER EVER CREATED...HE INVENTED "SHOWTIME."

  • I remember watching game 5 in 1991 when Bird got hurt and I was thinking that's it he is probably gonna retire, and then he came back and led the Celtics to the win. Bird was amazing. This was probably his last great moment but it was great.

  • @sxwrulz Bird's last great moment was Game 6 of the Cleveland series in 1992. His last ever home game. What a way to go out.

  • ginoongkamote crazy, I improved past 12 ins on my leap by finishing the training program at 50inch vertical[dot]com. now being being the shortest kid on court is nothing I have to be anxious about in basketball finally, haha

  • #VIDEOPOSTERID#, yo that's beast. That is directly from a guy who s 5 5 but do windmill dunks. I followed the training program at | 50 inch vertical [dot] com | and increased past 14 ins on my vertical.

1991 NBA Playoffs: Larry Bird Comeback

  • I don't know what's funnier, the Tsar saying "he's letting it all hang out today" or Marv saying "delivered a facial".

  • I'm glad Marv called Game 5 and not gayass Tom Hammond!

  • ha pretty crazy when even the other team is hugging him at the end!

  • great show larry

  • Did anybody else find the Do the Tango thing at the end funny? Cuz I cracked up at it's randomness

  • HOW MANY POINTS HE SCORED IN THIS GAME?

  • @emiltsuimunsang Bird scored 32

  • One of Larry Bird's most noteable//greatest moments, thanks so much for posting this..!!

  • People forget how great he was.

  • You are a broke ass Daniel Stern to post this saying the same thing he said on the Larry Legend video. You are awarded zero points you plagarizer

  • no one knows wtf ur even talkin bout kiddi...

    lolz

  • is a leader,he is a leaders the celtics

  • This was just amazing.

  • THE BUZZERBEATER CHAMPION!!

  • the great bird and the legendary boston celtics,no one comes close...

  • @jjonah10 Magic and the Lakers comes pretty close

  • gostaria de saber oq eles falam :/

  • Great moment in basketball[NBA] history, great comeback.!

  • You know what's in the back of the minds of everyone in New England now.

They're wanting KG to do the same thing.

  • I remember my father telling me about this game over and over again. We were SHOCKED when in Game 1 of the 2008 Finals those idiots calling the game didn't even mention it when Pierce went down.

Pierce's return was more similar to this than Willis Reed.

But o boy what a moment when the camera showed him running from the locker room, they put it on the jumbo-tron instead of the game and the place went nuts.

does anyone know if Johny most called this game? If so I would of loved to hear it

  • Legend has a new name BIRD...

  • someones the Fucking reporter ic....

  • bird was not "fast" (low top end) but quick hands, quick feet, quick mind, quick release AND fully ambidextrous ... and 6-10 with a handle and marksman's aim and nerves of steel and ... as the video shows .... True Grit ... pretty tough to match that in any era. Only MJordan comes close. Magic always had a better supporting cast than either of them.

  • you cant mention MJ in the same paragraph as magic and bird that should be illegal

  • I get goose bumps and watery eyed everytime I watch that video. Bird is the greatest small forward the game has ever known and in my opinion one of the top 5 greatest players to ever touch a basketball. Truly amazing

  • he was only good because he was a pure shooter and could make clutch offensive and defensive plays

  • Bird was a great player because of his work ethic and love of the game. He would spend hours in the gym long after everybody else had gone home. He wasn't there to be your friend off the court and as a person he was a bit of an a--hole but he earned his teammates's respect by being great and demanding 100% from them. Bird wasn't a naturally-gifted athlete. He was slow and couldn't jump. But no NBA player in the history of the game has ever had the type of work ethic as Larry Joe Bird.

  • a gym rat if there ever was one

  • @sean2015

an "a-hole" actualli chances are youre mistaken, if bird's an a-hole so are you dick lmfaoz...

bird was a quiet guy who kept to himself. he had more integrity in his pinky than ur dad did/does in his whole frame lmfaoz, and that goes for you too kid.

jordan was a real asshole. that guy hit teammates, disrespected coaches, insulted his elders suc as jarvis, and was a genuine douche.

larry was misread for being unlikeable, kinda like kareem. know ur players first plz...

  • @ry3304 Kiss my Irish ---. I don't know why you would even respond to a comment that I made two years ago.

You are correct about Jordan, but I stand by what I said about Bird

And I have 12 thumbs up, so you can take your thumb and put it back in your rear end.

  • WHAT KIND OF HOBBLED OLD LEGEND WOUD STILL DIVE FOR LOOSE BALLS?

    lmfaoz.

    L-E-G-E-N-D

  • @ry3304 yep

  • Hard to say Bird wasn't one of the best during his days.

  • One of the best during his days???? Nah you mean one of the greatest period

  • 2 factor that made larry so great, his basketball IQ and just his passion for winning

  • just amazing, such courage... enough to command your opponents' respect.

  • that happen to paul pierce...

  • Bird was great!

He made 110 percent of his physis and abilities.

  • I had the honor of meeting Larry Bird once, around 1995. The most strikig thing about Larry was that he looked so ordinary, physically he does not look at all like someone who does sports, and then you think all the stuff he did and how great he was, and youre like, wow, just wow.

  • But I'd take Larry over both of them.

  • Bird was the greatest all around player ever. Also he and West the best clutch players all time.

  • so inspirational.

  • this series was a real classic. Bird was injured coming into it and somehow willed himself to make Boston win it.

  • Larry Bird was amazing!
