  • Actually its more than just a conspiracy. Here in Australia, schools are no longer allowed to celebrate christmas for fear of offending religious minorities such as muslims and jews, instead they celebrate 'the end of year'. Yep thats right, Christmas is soon to be a ghost of the past!!!

  • I don't care whether someone says happy holidays or merry christmas, it's all the same.

  • I can't believe you said bah humbug

  • i find it absolutly offensive when people say happy holiday

  • Christmas has over the years morphed into a celebration of selling and buying lots of stuff.

  • You haven't addressed an equally pertinent issue which is how many people get offended by saying Merry Christmas. ???

  • I celebrate Chirstmas, and I also have a Jewish friend who of course celebrates Hanukkah. I often say Merry Chirstmas to them, and they say Happy Hannukkah to me, and we both get the meaning of just a general "be happy on your holiday." We even give each other presents in honor for our respective holidays.

People need to stop being snobs and acting like they are the only religion that deserves to be acknowledged.

  • get a life

  • Businesses want to sell their stuff to all people, people want to be sociable with all people without alienating/offending any and it's not really their business to ask you what your religion is. Is your country just for Christians? No? Then get used to "Happy Hollidays".

  • If they go this nuts over someone saying 'happy holidays' imagine how they'd react if someone said 'merry Yuletide!'

  • Here in the UK nobody says "Happy Holidays" at Christmas, and if they did it would come across as disingenuous, Americanised PC-talk (i.e., exactly what it is).

Why do Americans say Happy Holidays? I have a guess and I think it's a pretty good one; I think it has to do with the fact that Hanukkah is also celebrated in the winter and the US has a much more vocal Jewish lobby than the UK does. I don't for a minute believe that the guy who pressed for "Happy Holiday" was generously considering...

  • @Batou667 ...all the poor little Pagan children who would be celebrating Winter Solstice, or whatever.

I'm an athiest but like many people (including ZJ) I'm a cultural Christian and it seems a shame to see this very one-way cultural erosion going on. I can't think of a single religious culture who would put up with this shit (try telling the Muslims they're not allowed to say "Eid Mubarak" any more, rather they have to say "Felicitous Generic Celebration" instead... I dare ya!)

  • I do hate it when arrogant blowhards make me say 'Merry Christmas!'

  • I'd like to tell people who get all bent out of shape when someone tells them, "Merry Christmas" to chill out; it's not like s/he's telling them, "Accept Jesus Christ as Savior, or you'll spend your afterlife in H:ll." Similarly, I'd like to tell people who get all bent out of shape when someone tells them, "Happy Holidays" to chill out; it's not like s/he's telling them, "You're a fool to believe in divinity."

  • Until maybe 2006/2007 It seemed like making a Christmas card in School was okay, then suddenly it became "non pc" and you had to then write Happy Holidays instead. I am not Christian, but I adore Christmas and Easter, as much as I enjoy Haloween (which I still dress up for).

  • why do u sound like a robot?

  • I haven't been a big fan of any holidays for years. Tradition for the sake of tradition makes about as much sense as the lottery that is the namesake of Shirley Jackson's short story (which of course was the point of the satire within). So, while it slightly bugs me that everyone goes completely crazy at certain times of year, it would be completely irrational to take offence to what is supposed to be a pleasant greeting. Damn, Christians. Get over it. No one's trying to kill your holiday.

  • I LOVE UR HAIR IN THIS VID! its so fluffy and its really cute :)

  • @SOULpancakeRAWR he just looks less like a female

  • I find Zinnia to be completely critical of implicity within religion, and while I myself am agnostic I get the feeling ZJ is far too jaded sometimes... As to whether or not being jaded equates to a good or bad thing, is still open to question...

  • Personally I say "Happy Holidays" with a sincere heart. I like to celebrate period, I'm not offended by any celebration of goodness. When people start bringing argument, judgement &hate into it, they are only displeasing their own god, unless they worship evil. With Happy Holidays, I'm not trying to be PC, but I truely wish to say "Cheers" to everyone, during a time for cheers and warm wishes. Please understand, there are other belief systems beside Chrisitanity & Atheisim.

  • I honestly think the Christian right just NEEDS SOMETHING to bitch about.

    /watch?v=9xF4CYTdO10

  • Stores began saying Happy Holidays when they received enought hate mail to change their minds. You now see some switching back to Merry Chrismas due to public opinion. What other Religion has this problem with their holiday greeting? Its targed to Xmas just as public display of associated symbols. No matter what happens Someone is offended by it. You cant please everyone. Merry Christmas

  • @SuperElMojado you rang?

  • I'm the opposite, I'm offended by the "merry christmas" people. Not my religion, don't want to hear about it, and especially counter-pissed at the "war on christmas" crowd that insists that people can't be polite by saying "happy holidays" instead.

  • get off youtube and shut the fuk up fagggot

  • @TheSituationBaby At least he provides Youtube with educational, logical, and rational videos. What have you done?

  • @TheSituationBaby Improve your grammar and learn to spell then come back and take out your anger on a fabulous person. By the time you do that we'll all be dead so no one will be bothered.

  • ya that's stupid.

  • I don't know where I heard this, but I heard someone say, "I don't if they wish me 'Merry Christmas' or "Happy Holidays" as long as they dont say 'Get your crap and get out of here, Bitch!' "

  • I will say either or both. I hate when people turn people saying a well intended thing, like "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays" into a big political storm of bullshit. As long as your heart's in the right place, why does it matter? My gosh, people get so offended by tolerance, it's disgusting really.

  • @ItsSpikeHere Hey man you got your heart broken over the internet haahahahahha fuckin' poser you fall in love in 1 month over the internet do you realize how pathetic you are lmfao

  • I need to start telling people "happy holidays"--I want to see how it will go down with most people. A little social tension goes a long way. Whenever I wear make-up people treat me differently....

  • Why do the winter solstice and spring equinox get celebrated so much while the summer solstice and autumn equinox can't even get a good holiday in the same month? (Sept and June) Thanksgiving and Independence day are a month away from the summer solstice and autumn equinox..

  • I don't believe shit to what this person/thing has to say, but I watch this person's/thing's videos anyways.

  • @JoDaddyy

The fact that you don't know which nouns and pronouns to use to refer to ZJ, doesn't make it okay to refer to her as a 'thing'. That's just low. You were right the first time around - she is a person, and a brilliant one at that.

  • "Happy holydays or whatever, and if you cant accept that then happy shut the fuck up!" that is what i say to everyone instead of happy holydays, well that or "Happy [Insert holyday name here]"

  • Where did you get that hairdo? At a Christmas sale? Is that the real reason you are mad? lol Just kidding. Merry Christmas to you, ZinniaJones, and Merry Christmas to all people of good will (you know who you are). And Merry Christmas even to you atheist, may you one day experience happiness at Christmas.

  • I think we should say Christmas and not winter holidays or anything like that, and I'm not a Christian. Why? It is an important part of our cultural heritage, most of us celebrate it whether we believe in the Christian God or not. Yes, Christmas should take precedence over others. The principles of Christmas are good; the birth of a man who preached love thy neighbour as thyself and peace on earth. I'll endorse that even if I'm not religious.

  • Didn't anybody tell you not to stick your little dick into an electric socket? Look at the mess it made of your hair.

  • And some bigoted she its can't see a lot of things, groups have admited to warring against Christianity, but that doesn't fit into she its fantasy so she it can't see it. Isn't that bigoted by she its definition.

  • @daddyg321 It is not 'warring against Christianity'.

The internet penetrated the BS some cults depended on for decades. People are becoming wise to the fact that their pastor/priest, is often an abuser, many even come from sales backgrounds, People's 'charity' collections have gone to hunt children as witches in Africa & hate groups, obscene riches for the church at home, links to the far right & nasty corps. not what people thought their religion was about.

Religion did it all to itself; pride.

  • @marsCubed Learn to read -A LOT OF GROUPS HAVE ADMITTED-that is warring, or did a bunch of nut job atheists admit to it to get attention. As for the other stuff non-religious group are just as or more guilty, and then how about the geoups that aren't religious and just claim to be to gain trust. Go back to mars we have enough nuts.

  • Traditions are a trap that enslave you. I realized this the first year I tried to stop the gift exchange in my family. After all, christmas without presents is thanksgiving. But nooooo. I HAD to buy gifts for everyone because "it's a tradition". This isn't related to the vid very well, I just wanted to vent.

  • After watching this video, I have to laugh considering where the wise-spread use of "Happy Holidays" came form.

  • my first thought was wow.....but you have a point...a long boring point

  • For once someone on youtube who agrees with me! I've seen some of your videos, and I honestly have to give you a DOTD (deconstruction of the delusion) smile for them. ;)

  • I've been looking at some of your videos, and it's clear you are balanced and well reasoned in your statement. Can I just ask, are you Atheistic or Agnostic?

  • I don't understand why people get so pissed off about it. If someone says Happy Kwanzaa or Hanukkah to me I won't care, Ill just smile and tell them back. Even though I celebrate Christmas I'm not going to get all pissed off because someone wishes me a good holiday I dont celebrate. I know what they mean and to me "Happy Kwanzaa" or "Happy Hanukkah" I treat it just the same as someone telling me "Merry Christmas". There is no point in getting offended over something so stupid.

  • People only take offence from "happy holiday" because they are genuine cunts who like using every reason to piss everyone off because they like the reaction of people when they suck up to them. Don't give them that reaction.

  • The "Merry Christmas" enforcers try to state that they are right since Christmas is in fact a federal holiday. This is only the case because of the secular reasons that you described. But it's wrong to say your holiday is being marginalized while you're pointing out that its been given the special federal status. They try to point out that Christmas' status as a federal holiday is proof of the U.S. being a theist nation, which simply isn't true.

  • @718alterego I wouldn't have a problem with Christmas being a federal holiday, if it weren't that people then try to use the "theist nation" argument as a gateway into more overt religious activities in public institutions; e.g. prayer in school, etc.

They're the closed minded ones. It doesn't occur to them that because of this "war", people might now have a problem with saying "Merry Christmas" because they don't like being told what to say, especially if it has a religious sentiment.

  • happy 9/11

  • I once told an older gentleman "Happy Holidays" and he responded with a growl and a glare, "MERRY CHRISTMAS." Honestly, he sounded like the least merry person I've ever met!:)

  • @authoress1 knowing any day is your day to die will probably do that to someone

  • Holidays is a very good way to be all-inclusive. The only time I find it inappropriate is when they market christmas trees as holiday trees. Because as far as I know, there's no other religion that uses decorative trees.

  • AWESOME TEA PARTY TRIBUTE! 9-12 & MILITIA!!! MY PAGE!

  • It's true the bible doesn't tell when Jesus was born, BTW you should ware more polo shirts(they look cute on you)

  • ever noticed that happy holidays has alliteration? H H? Thats subliminal messaging for Heil Hitler. You heard it here first.

  • "If hearing the term 'happy holidays!' just ruins your day, you are a crazy person."

    That cracked me up!

  • You should move/look around more in your videos. You stared at the exact same point for over 5 minutes. It's definitely a little unsettling.

  • shut up

  • ZJ, it's true that there was a winter season befgore Jesus and all that, but what people mean when they say "Jesus is the reason for the season", is that the Christmas as we (the Western world) currently celebrate it is a celebration of the birth of Jesus, which is all too often forgotten these days (also because of commercialization).

  • Well actually the Pastafarians (who follow the religion of the Flying Spagetti Monster) their holiday is called "Holiday" and it is "around the holiday season" and there are no specific rules that go with holiday. So maybe everyone is a Pastafarian.

  • Tits or gtfo.

  • change the hairstyle, idiot

  • Happy Winter Solstace? Paganism win.

  • what's up wit the hair?

  • nerd in a coputer look at this dicktionary trool

  • You're right.

  • Bright kid.

  • @mrrnr1956

hes bright, smart, but gay faggot : lok at other his vidz

  • @oxwithoutoneeye What does that have to do with what he is saying? And why would you care, unless you're interested. Grow up.

  • i like your videos, but i dont like when you dress like a woman.. please dont.

  • They say happy holidays because December has more than one like Hanukkah,Kwanzaa,Christmas so Christians just need to shut up.

  • upset me. Are people afraid to show who they are? I have a Jewish teacher. He;s a nice guy but i little "remarkable" so to speak. He is convinced to have seem angels. I am not saying he hasn't i just don't know, and neither has anyone else. Anyway, I tell him merry Christmas, and he says, happy Chanuka. Because that is who we are and we are not afraid for people to disrespect up for being like that. My teacher is American, but of course, this is the Netherlands and people are fairly tolerant.

  • @52453glr i see what you are saying. but i also see what he is saying. lol i agree with both of you. lol

  • Western culture is a christian one (Alexander the Great made sure of this). I am not christian but i am part of the western culture. Christmas is a composition of several holidays, mostly pagan ones (origin of the Christmas-tree comes from a German holiday of light, now generally forgotten for 1000s of years.) I do not endorse people to say happy holidays because western culture is part of how i identify myself. People cautiously saying "happy holidays" in fear of offending anyone...

  • Then they're crazy. Happy holidays is just two words. I wouldn't get offended.

  • All I gotta say...its a shame thats hardly ppl out there with common sense and deep thought smart. To point, we need more smart people like you lol

  • @KaiakuTheCatgirl I visited your channel and saw a lot of zero's.....go figger!

  • I don't like the term 'happy holidays' as it's just a politically correct term born out of an intense amount of butthurt. I'm not offended by it, but I do believe it's pretty stupid. Everyone tries so fucking hard not to piss other people off. Why bother? If someone saying pleasant statements like Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah, or happy holidays pisses you off, what are you going to do when somebody actually TRIES to offend you?

  • @Muffinzeshlongun Then their heads will explode!

  • @Muffinzeshlongun ever consider its just to be polite and continent? im walking down the street i dont know what the fuck you worship it is easier to say have a happy holiday them run down the list of holidays. I could actually care less what you worship have a happy solstice there happy? Its just rude to assume you worship one way or the other happy holidays cover everything so your not getting pissed and i dont have to assume or stereotype

  • @Muffinzeshlongun

I guess you have a lot of free time, too much so you are starting to talk something stupid

  • @oxwithoutoneeye

Derp derp derp hurp. You have nothing valid to say so you ramble on, and toss a random insult in your post. Fucking brilliant

  • @Muffinzeshlongun

I guess you are a faggot too,

    anyway - sorry

  • @oxwithoutoneeye

Tell me, what's it like being retarded?

  • @Muffinzeshlongun It doesn't really make sense to just use "Merry Christmas" either. It's not "politically correct" it's just "correct", since reality tends to be that way. In reality, not everyone celebrates Christmas. People celebrate different things, so "Happy Holidays" is very appropriate for the situation.

  • @Muffinzeshlongun

Actually, I generally say happy holidays to make the point that I don't acknowledge nor support their holiday. Not to say I actively try to ruin other people's Christmas, Hanuka, etc. rather I just say it to inform others that I may not necessarily engage in any holiday.

  • i swear you got this off an american dad.

  • What get me mad is that those religious freaks are the same fuckers who are trying to distroy Halloween.

  • Yeah my dad gets pissed about that. I don't really care.

However, when christmas trees are called "holiday trees" it bothers me, mostly because they are directly advertised towards christians during christmas.

  • I like your haute coutour hairstyle, vary a la mode. You just need to trim off the sides, give it a military crew cut.

  • this women is actualy an intallectual not exactly "an average plod" i like the way she gives an explanation to a lot of things it really helps me with religious debates

  • @childofreletivity its a man

  • die in a fire please. slowly if possibly

  • why are you so gay, atheist, &&mental.

  • Hes a guy clearly dumbass!

  • We been calling it Christmas for a longtime so why they change it?

Ow I know why....... cause Santa is FAT and it bothers skinny people.

Poor folks can't buy presents so, it's not fair.

It's an effort to save trees.

Ow I know it's an effort of atheist unlike you or I that want to spit in the face of Christians. Dude I'm an Atheist too but don't you think this political correctness thing has really gone over board?

  • The war on xmas is palmface material, but the choice to say Happy holidays is a politcal one, be it right wrong or totally unimportant.

I think in somewhere like New york Happy Holidays makes total sense, other places it just begs why. Im an athiest but I think saying happy holidays is ammunition for the right. Muslims hindus and Jews don't care for the most part, I dont see how it matters considering how divorced xmas is from the bible theese days.

    Holiday Egg anyone?

  • hmmm.....random but...u r cute

  • @happylizard08 if your a girl...sorry hes a faggot:p. and if you are a dude, get it. bahahahah.

  • @lovenick2 i dont rlly give a crap if he is or not. so screw u u homophobe

  • I find it interesting that they apparently weren't satisfied that Christmas only had one fictional character involved and decided to bring in another fictional character... Santa Claus.

    The delusion goes on forever.

  • The most eloquent person on the 'net.

Whichever pagan holliday comes next (I've lost my calander), I wish you a very happy one.

Wheather you celebrate it or not. You may as well have a happy time while others do whatever they do on Beltaine!

  • omg zj the man

  • I had a Science teacher like this guy or girl or whatever. Couldn't tell if she were a guy or a girl lol

  • So... is this a bro or a gal? This is really weird! o.O

  • Holiday, if I'm not mistaken, is an Old English word for Holy Day. Those who get pissed at this just don't know.

I say Happy Festivus and watch the hiliarity begin!! (^_^)

  • Omg! Festivus! Lol.

    Nice reference.

  • @VenomProject Festivus for the rest of us!! (^_^)

  • Ok i understand this, but sometimes it is the other way around. People refused to hear "marry christmas." I do not understand when people do not tolerate small things such as this, but they are fine with every other things that are way worse. Jesus was not even born on christmas day. He was born when sheep were out, and it was not snowing. I love christmas too, but the season is a personal holiday, so it is not a sin to say happy holidays especially when you are not christian. "Happy holidays!"

  • Teleprompter? I sound like that when I read off my laptop for a video. Great video though.

  • concon9326: More christian ignorance. It is only called 'christmas' by christians! and yet many christians know Dec 25th has nothing to do with Christ. But...nobody ever pointed YOU to the easily found proof of that...so you spill the ingnorance you were blindly taught...hence furthering blindness. BTW the 'easter' bunny has nothing to do with Christ. Pray for your OWN ignorant 'ass' instead of being offended by the truth when you hear it.

  • well put, but i still hate xmas.

  • This video is really good. Great wotk, ZJ.

Does anyone know where I can get the pin he is wearing? (The atheist A)

  • It's from the Richard Dawkins store.

  • @ZJemptv

Before I saw Emily's comment I thought to my self "He's wearing a Scarlet Letter pin, must be a classic literature fan" LoL. my wife's a librarian...too many books in my life i guess. = )

Good videos ZJ, thx for the intertainment.

  • the only thing that christians should be doing around christmas, is going to church and giving praise for the arival of that wonderous figure whom nobody knows the real name of. everything else is a pagan abomination to god. especialy them trees which the bible directly speaks out against.

  • I work at Costco and I'm told to say "Happy Holidays" and I can't STAND that hypocrisy.

Since the day after thanksgiving, over the PA system in my store there have ONLY been *Christmas* songs playing. For 8 out of the 8 hours in each of my shifts.

    Happy Saturnalia! ^_^

  • Comment removed

  • I'm the co-consul of Latin Club and we had a Saturnalia party the other week. Before we started partying I gave a little history of Saturnalia and mentioned that it is the Pagan origins of Christmas, and it's the reason why Christmas is on December 25. They looked horrified, and I think I stole a little bit of their innocence.

  • Most Americans celebrate christmas, including some athiests I know because it's a traditional American holiday. Taking "christmas" away (like FarmVille's "holiday tree") is teaching the majority of Americans to not call their holiday what it is. Telling employees they can't say "merry christmas" is like saying they can't say "happy independence day" on July 4th. They're traditional american holidays. And "happy holidays" offends Jehovah's Witnesses.

  • I say; "Happy Winter Solstice" because it IS the Winter Solstice! (smile)

No one ever seems to get upset about it. I live on the West Coast, and people here are pretty friendly with each other.

Heres wishing you all have a Happy Winter Solstice with lots, and lots of snow and good cheer! (smile)

  • @wiskawind

and a happy winter solstice to you too

  • @Chris0wnz Good Morning Chris. (smile) Was so nice to find email with video from you; listening to intelligent people always refreshes my faith in the human species ! LOL

Ah and with the Winter Solstice coming, again, gives me a chance to wish you a big ol' "Happy Winter Solstice" to you and yours. (smile)

  • @wiskawind i love you for that comment

  • I wanna know all your christmas freckles, dude.

  • Btw, you people crack me up. He is obviously a dude. Anyway I agree 110% Z. Check out what I wrote on everything2: Merry Christmas vs. Happy Holidays

  • ay mayn u need sum conditioner

  • LMAO!!!!!

  • maybe for christmas we should buy him a year supply of conditioner because she man over here seems to neglect it. I have no idea why...

  • stop making cracks on whether ZJ is male or female, its for him to know and you to be a jerk and guess. focus on the importance of his videos

  • @oberg9577

I thought he was androginous you know like PRince, Rick James, etc.. It was and actually still a pretty popular subculture.. but of course he isn't a transexual as he reocognises himself as being apart of the male gender. He is also openly gay, but I don't see how any of these things are an issue.. I think people need to just simply grow the fuck up and learn how to be fucking social and stop being socially divisive all of the time.

  • @oberg9577 You mean address the issues?? Well, I never!!!

  • @oberg9577 wtf .... are you serious about that ?

    i thought he was a male ..

but now ive read ur comment .. it made me doubt wtf ?

  • @tomisnub

He is male, however he has stated, that you may refer to him by either gender, he only objects to the word "it".

Even the Guardian (UK news paper) is confused, but he's doing it on purpose (by this point).

  • Happy Yule, you turd---and your little GOD, too!

  • Offended by "happy holidays"?! only a selfish bastard can be offended of people not recognizeing THIER belifs directly.

  • Is it...male...or female...I've watched 7 of it's videos and I still can't tell...I'm guessing male...

  • Happy secular Holidays Christians!

  • Want to know something funny?

Here where im from we call christmas: Jul

almost the same as the germanic Pagan celebration before Christianity. (Yhul)

So we basically just changed the story to celebrating jesus, but didnt even bother to change the names, lol.

Dunno why, always found that funny.

  • ok here you go... america was founded as a christian nation and it is still claimed by many congressman and possibly the majority of the nation and president. almost everything youve ever experienced after thanksgiviing and before new years is all because of these christian/basis of america.

  • If America government is based on Christian bible and not humanistic values the tell me

where in then bible is the following is located?

Slavery abolishment, womens suffrage, racial equity, rule of law.constitutional law, right to taxation with representation, democracy , and inalienable civil rights. If america was founded on Islam that doesn't mean Islam is right .

  • You look cute and nerdie in this video. Love it. :P

  • IT IS

"holidays" is a generic smattering to take any meaning away from once religious celibrations

    and it arises from COMMERCIALIZATION

not for the sake of "inclusion"

    monotone

    monotone

    monotone

  • well if you dont believe in Jesus Happy holidays isn't so bad. But if you celibate Hanukkah then happy holidays is just a term used to extend out to other people of different beliefs who celebrate there holidays the same time you celebrate yours.

I'm sure the native Americans don't appreciate thanksgiving giving maybe we should force them to say "happy thanksgiving" lol since they live in a "christian nation that loved them enough to give them a few reservation lmao

  • Uh yeah but what about the church of satan?

dont you realize how HURT theyre going to be when they hear you say Happy Holidays

whats with all the faggots on this page

  • I hardly consider someone who associates satanism with Judaism and who uses the term fagots so indiscriminately could be sophisticated or intellectual enough to be concerned about the term "happy holidays"vs Christmas much less even be capable of higher level thinking or even have a meaningful purpose of commenting on this video

Why are you here? They have video's on youtube that tell you how to get a ged you know?Thats where you should be

  • first of all that was a joke moron.

and just because i dont spend the time to refute your stupidity doesnt mean i cant.

WOW so you must be proud that you finally have you ged and want to rub it in someone else's face. sorry faggot

i went to a top 100 in the nation college prep highschool

  • You can't refute it because america wasn't founded on Christianity and if you try to pull those bullshit quotes from john Adams and Thomas Jefferson it's futile because they weren't Christians they were deist in that they believed in God but didn't think the bible was worth the paper it was printed on American law is secular by nature and you should be glad it is.If your educated then you would of known about separation of fantasy(church) and state.

  • Oooh right you are, spiritualism and intellectualism are so very fantasy-like

yet another moron with the "separation of church and state" argument. do you realize the church has ZERO power in american legislature? do you realize that the church used to a power in its own right? no, your just another half-wit dumbass that follows the athiest crowd

  • my point being that you dont even know what the separation of church and state means.

  • Thank you for saying these things. I love it when people with "Knowledge" completely shut down any counter argument anyone can make.

We need more of you in this world....

Thank you again, and have a nice day,

  • Happy Halloween ;)

  • ummm i see there is 2 of you

  • Christmas is pagan anyway.

  • really, please elaborate

  • Google it jackass.

  • amen

  • No, it really isn't. There were a couple of pagan celebrations in December. The fact of the matter is that Christmas isn't those holidays.

  • Yes it really is. I sent a link to you on your channel to take a look at. The tree, the lights, the yule, the garland, the presents, the date it takes place on, the singing that is all pagan.

  • Those are folk traditions, removed from any original pagan meaning.

They are things the people, regardless of their religion, did because of cultural tradition.

When a people move from one religion to another, they take their festivals with them.

Christianity was just accomodating of this, see their moving of All Hallows Eve from May to November for exmaple.

  • I find this whole thing quite amusing since even more conservative puritans from just 200 years ago completely disaproved of celebrating Christmas in the first place. In fact it was illegal to do so as a punishable offence. Keep in mind, the people you are talking about are the same people who are absolutely convinced that America has always been a strictly all Christian nation. They simply do not accept any non Christian existence in America at all.
