Worst interviewer ever...who wins the love of the Princess? Way to try and ruin the movie! But Mark Hamill did look kinda cranky and answered the question for Harrison Ford. Apparently Carrie Fisher was found in Harrison Ford's dressing room a lot during the filming and Mr. Hamill didn't like that too much.

@Bubo25 To my knowledge {mind you, it's limited}, he changed the script/"story" to where Leia was Luke's sister after production of Episode V was complete. How soon after, I'm not sure. I was under the impression it was a few months before this interview was done. Could you provide me with some sources if I'm wrong? I'm interested now.

@Bubo25 Sorry, this is getting long. xD After doing some thinking and Google searches, it becomes clear that Lucas was already toying with the idea of having Leia be Luke's sister, given the line "Leia... hear me..." and this - Ben: "That boy is our last hope." Yoda: "No. There is another."in Empire Strikes Back. Merely playing with the idea of course, but definitely considering it. We don't know if George relayed his thoughts to the cast beforehand... or is there an interview about it?

@FreshandFancyFree From what Gary Kurtz has said in interview GL decided on having Leia as The Other in the early stages of starting to make ROTJ. As a result this interview is too early for anyone to know what was going to happen, even Lucas himself. When the scene was shot of Luke contacting Leia for help, that was merely Luke resorting to contact Leia because he had no one else who could help him.
