This is the first time I've heard or have seen, Metric. The most common thing I had heard about them was that Emily Haines has great legs. This song is very reminiscent of the soaring rock songs of the late 60''s and early 70's. They sound good live.

This song is really good for several reasons. One each part of it is good, not certain sections. It also has three distinct clauses instead of just verse/chorus that most songs have. The melody and background harmonies were carefully put together to be interesting and novel, not just "play some chords and I'll make something up". It breaks a lot of ground in my opinion.
