@KickButtToaster Probably very possible. As far as I know, the top screen doesn't affect how a game runs, and the only thing attaching it to the main circuitboard is that ribbon cable, which only transmits the video signal to the top screen. So, in theory, if you yoinked the top half off, it should still function, provided said yoinking wasn't too violent and didn't rip apart any stuff in the main board.

But why? You'd be left with nothing more than a glorified Game Boy Advance...

at 2:30 something you can see that theres like a foil orange that conects the screen to the ds! my top part broke, and there was like a damaged little hole over that thing, it broke, then the screw drivers did not work so i decided to crack it up :( BAD IDEA. it was somewhat usefull, and now its dead, all my good moments in that ds.......

Smashing hand held game systems into walls usually doesn't fix the problem (I know from experience) but what you probably did was crack something inside but it was still connected, then after a day ended up separating enough to disconnect that's my theory atleast

IDK i tried this and i bricked my DS lol i think i wore down the flat wire or something and i also accidentally disconnected a speaker and i don't have a solder tool other than that i lazily put the screws down forgot which went where and i think i put some too big in the slots and stripped the plastic other than that everything clicks fine and it opens correctly :D

I've just received a Nexilux Rosso Red DS Lite replacement case and boy oh fucking boy does it suck.

It doesn't fit for a start, it leaves the top of the DS lite screen bending, none of the holes are the correct size, the LED diffuser won't fit properly.

in summary it renders your DS lite a complete pile of useless parts sitting on a table.

heap of shit, avoid Nexilux cases. go for SHOCK instead.

Does your charger make the usualy low Hum noise when it is charging? if it is not, get a new one, If it is not that, Replace the Power and battery Circuitry in the DS
