Thanks for your balanced review. I have the game but I haven't played it yet (same goes for Arcania and Risen). I played the demo and liked the game, I knew there was something there worth playing. Perhaps this Winter I will lol.
ArcaniA's kinda weak so you might not want to play that... but yeah, I understand. Finding time to delve into a complex or immersive RPG is pretty tough.
@DWTerminator Yeah, plus I was trying to finish my first LP (I suck at them) and I knew if I started playing it I would never do that lol.
Then I started playing Oblivion, pushing myself to like it. If it kicks me out again with its lousy character, I think I will start with Dragensang.
Anyway, keep up the great reviews coming. I have only written (for a magazine 10 years ago) a review and I don't want to do that again. Too much pressure for me.
LP's are pretty tough to start in, but once you get used to them they get easier and as you get more comfortable narrating, the LP's get better.
If you have to force yourself to like something, then don't bother with it. Drakensang was a game where my liking of it was a sort of roller coaster for the most part. It takes a lot of patience, that's for sure.
And I was wondering when you would review a Drakensang game haha
I believe the sequel, The River of Time, is much better and improves on everything. It looks really similar to Neverwinter Nights 2 also. I really like the art style of the sequel, kinda cartoony with bright colors etc.
I've played the the prequel's demo (it's not a sequel) and yes, it's improved the gameplay considerably. Problem was, demo's in German and so I had a really hard time understanding what everything was.
Two Worlds was hilarious only because of it's voice acting

The best part was they thought the dialogue was good...

I've had the same mic for months so I dunno.

@Trusteft Risen is a great game. If you liked the older Gothic games you'll like it, but even if you haven't it's a refreshing RPG.

Completely agree. I wanted to like it so much but the REALLY generic story and poor pacing turned me off.
