  • @jackpocalypse Why are people saying such stupid things?! Seriously, they've been doing ultrasounds for generations and there is NO KNOWN PROOF that they are harmful or unpleasant for the child. But just to be safe, why do you think your scans are spanned out throughtout the pregnancy FOR SPECIFIC REASONS, like checking brain, kidneys, heart chambers, for clefts, etc and not EVERYTIME you have a prenatal appointment?.. & as for asking what a 4/D ultrasound is, do some research smart one!;)

  • it's scary!

  • I loved this I'm almost 28 weeks I want one now! lol

  • so cute!!!!

  • 4D is when they produce physical effects, such as in some movies there are moving or shaking seats, air and water sprays, and others.

  • That is such a beautiful baby, they didn't do the 3D or 4D 14 or 10 years ago when I was pregnant, THAT.IS.AMAZING.!

  • Looks like something from house of wax.

  • creepy :s

  • TO CUTE!!!

  • They do a normal ultrasound and use a software to create 4d images of the baby from the normal ultrasound.

  • big yawn! so cute.

  • how cute cant wait ti have my scan tomorrow.

  • @tornadoursel what

  • @jackpocalypse the ultrasound waves are harmful for babies.. my son is 29 weeks now, but im patient enough to wait 10 more weeks to see him. But hey, my compliments to Aidan, that yawn was just adorable!

  • @MrGoodKatttt thousands of pregnant women get ultrasounds, every day... there are no risks with ultrasound. and even if there were small, rare risks... the benefits of being able to monitor your baby's growth and development via ultrasound far outweigh any "risks" of the ultrasound process.

  • @jackpocalypse We learned in my childhood development class that more than 5 ultrasounds can SLIGHTLY increase the risk for a miscarriage but if it was very harmful to babies then doctors wouldn't do it. Ultrasounds are one of the most exciting things I have ever seen ^.^ I love seeing my little man and it is completely fine. The risk is so small it is almost nonexistant. Congrats on your little one!

  • @tornadoursel

how is the scan not good for the baby?

  • @tornadoursel Ultra sounds are not dangerous for babies. Get real.

  • @tornadoursel it doesnt cause the baby any harm otherwise you wouldnt be able to get one!

  • @tornadoursel they use ultrasounds to detect certain birth defects, duh! they need to know if there's anything wrong with the baby. they want to detect if there are any birth defects or problems that would require early delivery in order to save the life of the mother and/or the baby. they also use ultrasounds/scans to tell how far along the baby is, the position and location of the child inside the mother, etc.

  • @thetoolbox112394 i agree, my son had a bowel obstruction and if we didnt do the ultrasounds they wouldnt have even known about it after he was born, and i wouldnt have had the few months i had with him before he passed

  • @tornadoursel Ultrasounds are completely safe.

  • 4d refers to the sound also ;-)

  • awwww a yawn!!

  • Cutie .

  • hey ya'll... stop peeping.. its cold, wet and dark in here.. and i'm hungry.. ask mom to swallow some cookies.. and by the way get this broccoli outta here.

  • Aww sweet baby =] I get my 3-d done next week & very excited..

  • aww he yawned :} Im going to a 3D ultrasound tomorrow for my brothers fiancee

  • 4th dimension is TIME... haha

  • @yellowfever13 wow... you're cool with your elementary school make-believe theories.... how can the 4th dimension be time if time is a 1-dimensional quantity? let's say 0 dimension is a dot, 1 is a line, 2 is a square, 3 is a cube, and 4 is ____? time? wtf? NO! 4d is a shape made using vectors and coordinate geometry to create a vector with 4 elements (4D). So what goes in blank 4 is a tesseract. Good try, though.

  • @thewonkhotline

It depends on what discipline you're talking about. In physics, the fourth dimension is time. In Euclidean geometry, the fourth dimension is a tesseract. I would hazard a guess that these ultrasounds are call "4D" because they move in real time and project a three dimensional image.

  • @monny287 Arnt I in 4D because I move in 3 dimensions and also reflect light to others? What about when I produce gas?

  • WTH is 4d? You know there are only 3 dimensions, right?

  • The "4" is just a novelty term to refer to the fact that it is a live feed. It's an ultrasound projected in 3d.

  • @lios76 Incorrect. Most physisists agree that there are at least ten, the first five being; 1- A line, 2- A split, 3- A fold, 4- A line, and 5- A split, from " Imagining the Tenth Dimension part 1 of 2"

  • @lios76 The fourth dimension is time :p

  • THAT'S MY UNBORN SONS NAME

  • that is soooooo cute

  • looks like someone is having a karoke lol

  • WoW congratulations... That's incredible !!!!!

  • that's crazy! congratulations!

  • that's fucking amazing man, congrats again jack.
