These hollywood movies always romantcize gambling when infact we all know that 99 out of 100 are going to be walking out of the casino with empty pockets. They don't spend 300mil. to build them to lose to ordinary slobs like us. The more education you have the more you learn the games and money management. You don't put your whole bankroll on one bet...that's a loser/compulsive gamblers way to play. I want to win money, screw "the action".
Google "the casino industry scandal" if you would like to know how casinos can cheat you on the craps table without your even knowing about it. If you aren't loking of THIS you are losing money.
Blue chips are $1000? I thought $1K's were typically either orange or yellow, with blue being either $10 or $50. I've seen blues represent $100K already.
@Srd1126 Agreed, see way too many people playing like that where they put $100 straight up on pass. It should be $20 on pass, rest on odds. depending on what the casino allows for odds.

@PhazedMusic Are you saying it makes no difference to put all $100 on the passline vs putting $20 on passline and $80 for odds? Playing Roulette black/red is not 50/50. Do your research. Flipping a coin is not technically 50/50 either.
@Srd1126 You've got a near 1/4 shot of winning coming out and only a 1/9 shot of losing, and when you get paid on that you're getting even money when true odds says you should be getting half. The downside to that is that its essentially a one roll bet since the likely outcome is you're gonna roll one of the non-natural numbers. It's just something to do if you are looking for a quick hit to double your money, he probably had so much money out there he didn't have any left for odds.
