Independent judiciary?, Independent of what?. In a Jamhooria nobody is supposed to be independent of the people. EVER arm of the state must show a link of legitimacy to voters. In our current system the parliament is the only elected federal body. Every other arm of the state must derive it's legitimacy through the parliament.

Iftikhar Ch. is running the supreme court like a Punjabi film, no room for a "Maula Judge" in a civilized society. Nawa Aya hai te cha gaya hai tha kurkey.
