  • Thanks for the video! The Poly 61 was my first real keyboard as a 15-year old, and I am now rediscovering its wonders as a 42 year old with may too much gear to choose from...Love the percussive organ tone it has...

  • How much is one of these worth now in very good condition?

  • My first ever synth, fine tuned a good fat "jump" sound out of it. The new synths don't have the guts these old beasts did.

  • great video..need to get one aswell

  • I wish I had this one... I got a Yamaha DX7 (Classic), Ensoniq Mirage, Casio CZ-1, and Oberheim Matrix 6. Nice Playing! Nice Patches! Does anyone know of an arpeggiator that you can use like an effects pedal?

  • Is the delay coming from the Poly?

  • no, the poly has no internal FX

  • @StudioF

Doesn't the poly 61 have chorus?

  • you know what, i take back what i said about the Korg 61. the Korg actualy has better sounds than the juno. and is built more stable.

  • I LOVE THE TUNE IN 2:32.

Could someone tell me the original of this tune please.

  • i made it up as i demostrated the sounds

  • Nice Blade Runner patches.

  • What a Brilliant Demo. if only all Demo's were like this. No speil, no flashy playing skills, No Piano. why is it always the Piano. These are synths. And this guy, has done such a great job, taking us through the patches. He has completley sold me. I dont want one. I need one. I think I'll just manage to get another synth in, where the cooker used to be. Thanks for a great Demo. Well done. come on you synth Demonstrators. this guy has set the standard.. LOL .

  • 2:48 echo the dolphine

  • nice job men !

  • I wish that I had never sold mine. This video makes me want to go buy another one.

  • I have one! I have been dragging this thing around for at least 10 years. I am in the process of cleaning the contacts and getting it to properly work. I was going to throw it on ebay, that is how I found this video and comments

  • Just another question,

How much does this baby weigh?

Is it as heavy as the 106?

  • Who cares about that. I'm sure it's much heavier than Poly-800 maybe twice or thrice becouse of it's wood box. Yep, this tank is made of metal and wood chips.

  • I seroiusly want one of these now, but I heard its difficult to find one in good working condition?

It reminds me alot of the sound of the Yamaha CS-80 for some reason.

  • You have to choose between good working order and nice shape. I don't know why.

  • how much does a poly-61 go for?

  • I really miss my poly 61... ive been a korg man since i started playing, poly6, poly 61, dw 8000, M1, O1w, Trinity, then triton. i dont even remember what i did with my 61, loved it!! 80,s synthpop al the way,i remember the first song i learned on it, Spandau ballets "true( patch #12!!)

  • Wonderful sounds. Thanks for posting the video, it's very convincing stuff. I'm going to get one of these for sure.

  • excellent synthetiser!!!

    It's the 80's essence!

  • Can someone give me the parameters for a great organ sound on the poly61?

  • Dude, I bought one of these new in November,

1983, in Charlotte. NC. Paid $1100 for it at

the old Reliable Music store. Lifelong regret

that I sold it. The DX-7 didn't much on this

    bad boy.

  • how does this compare to a juno 6 or 60

  • Sounds a little sharper. Nice envelopes here. If you don't want to sound like a Roland (ie like EVERYTHING), Korg's a good bet. At least with these polysynths.

  • does this thing can also play normal piano sound or not? AND piano variations?

  • No miks8. you can simulate pianosounds on this synth, maybe a good electro piano but thats it. the poly-61 is an analog synth not a digital like the roland xp-80

  • this is a synthesizer, not a piano emulator.

  • This Poly61 sounds as good as my Juno6, I wish I hadn't passed one up on ebay now, back on the Synthlist it goes

  • ok you have posted this fucking comment on every poly-61 video we get it you got a good deal i'm not the least bit jealous.

  • Actually, I hadn't thought about it like that... Sorry. I guess I was just so happy to have been able to get something that wouldn't normally have been on my radar and have this great opportunity to listen to new music and a new instrument to try that I didn't think about the effect of my comments on others. Once again, I apologize.

  • it's okay dude. sorry for being a dick about it.

  • Your set up is very similar to mine, I have a Matrix 6R too....

I am trying to get Juno 6 midified at the moment..

  • i absolutly agree glennwinstanley

  • I love my Poly61!!!!!!! Very underrated....

  • yes i did. I used a Alesis midiverb 3 delay

  • you used external effects right?
