Why didn't they make PS3 backwards compatible is beyond me, were they that idiotic? It would have made so many more sales if it did. People would want it for the PS2 games, and the future games released... But at the time PS3 came out, a lot of the games were experimental, and put people off from buying it... Oh well i shouldn't judge PS's ways they have always succeeded one way or another.

@JumpingGinger they did make them backwards compatible, but for some reason they started making new ones to support more space i guess, and i got rid of the bc ability. that's why the new ones are skinny.

@lastblade3 Incorrect. PS2 playback was removed from the PS3 because Sony wanted to lower the cost of the console to a more competitive level. This started with the older, larger models. Later the Slim PS3 was introduced to further save on production costs and to help reboot the PS3 brand and image. That is why the logo has changed and many ads feature actor Jerry Lambert aka "Kevin Butler". =)

summons here are stronger than the ones from FFXII... the thing is: when you get Belias (FFXII) it is like: WOAH! chek out my incredible powerfull esper yeah im invincible!!! and then when you get to golmore....GO BELIAS!*dies from attacks from gargoyles after 10 seconds* WTF!? BELIAS!? meanwhile Ifrit(FFX) is Powerfull even at the end of the game!
