I gotta say when I was little like 5 or 6 i use to watch barney and when I got older my cousins I babysat would watch him lol now i'm 26 and my kids watch em my son is 2 and loves his barney!!! at least something on tv and in this world is still wholesome for kids!!!
In my opinion, I think it's a little scary for kids to be taught by a dinosaur, why couldn't the director of this show couldn't use something different? Like a Teddy Bear?I mean come on! Barney is getting old! He's been around since 1989 and the 1990's. Parents need to know that he is getting old!
For people like us who have been around since 1989 he's probably getting old, but for children who are new to the world, he's just as new to them as he was to us when we first saw him. And if the kids are not afraid of a dinosaur, then there's no need to worry about him being scary. Besides, there's nothing scary about his appearance. He should be less scary than a bear because bears can be a real threat today, dinosaurs aren't.
If you listen to the song, when Barney appears, he's really just a figment of the kids' imagination. When he goes back to being a toy it's because they are all done imagining that he's a walking, talking, singing dinosaur.
