Science is used to help us understand the natural world and by extension the universe around us. It cannot address the supernatural. Religion also cannot prove that God exists because they too can only address what is in nature. The only way religion can address God is through faith.

My best friend was diagnosed with brain cancer at only 9 years old. I think religions started because they were something easy to beleive in at the time and they made people feel secure. And even if apes were evolving and becoming smarter and more "human like", the process of evolution takes thousands, if not millions of years to get any significant changes.

Science is used to help us understand the natural world and by extension the universe around us. It cannot address the supernatural. Religion also cannot prove that God exists because they too can only address what is in nature. The only way religion can address God is through faith.

My best friend was diagnosed with brain cancer at only 9 years old. I prayed just like Charles Darwin did before the death of his daughter, to heal him and I would believe in him for as long as I would live. My friend died a month later just before he was 10. I was so angry at what was going on around me I stood up in church and explained my story and left the service. I can never forgive myself after that.

While we will never really know for certain how the Universe and us came to be, it seems a bit foolish to just believe that we are all the products of some invisible magic man. After all, you were not there Billions of years ago either.
Saying "God did it" is just a lazy, easy answer that requires no further investigation or research.

@acronus well it's ok if you don't really believe but please sometime try consider that everything has a reason, you should know that atleast, because things can't just randomly form their should always be something making it or a catalyst. Somethings don't need proof to be proven it just might come as a thought or a feeling. By the way are you a Philosopher or a theologist or just an atheist?

@117Alfonso Okay? what does that prove? The human body has tons of elements in it's make up. However, Soil has less amounts of different elements than a human body does. Humans didn't evolve from soil.

@117Alfonso I can tell you how everything can be created just from one hydrogen atom, everything you see, absolutely every metal and dirt and everything came from collisions of hydrogen atoms, which are still made to day in stars. What made Hydrogen atoms, you then ask? They formed when protons, neutrons, and electrons cooled down together forming the first hydrogen atoms. Other particles that took longer stayed seperate. For example photons ( or light ).

Where did this dot come from? That we aren't exactly sure, there are thoeries, it could have always been there. They say, someone must of made it, well who made god? @TheMagicBolt they said there was no time before the Big Bang how could something create it when the fabric of our universe is made out of time and space and since it says in the Holy book or if you don't know what it is it's simply just the Bible, so anyways it says in our book that God is beyond time. Just imagine this: let's say that your an artist and you drew 2d figures, and they became real and since humans are 3d then how could a simple 2d creature could comprehend a 3d creature

@117Alfonso Listen, go research some physics. You obviously don't understand the fabric of Spacetime. In the most accepted theory today, The fabric of Time and Space were part of the singularity. Of course there are other theories, such as M-theory, or others. I used to be a Catholic. I was interested in Quantum Physics, Out of what i learned made me realize God doesn't exist. I didn't just blindly say he doesn't exist.

@TheMagicBolt i dont believe in god, but no-one can say god doesn't exist, to say that is not to be a real scientist.im studying industrial engineering, so i dont know as much as you about this, but it is clear that although there is no evidence of god, neither is there real evidence that there's not something "greater" somewhere that "guides" us in some way. It's not because all evidence points to "our" ways of thinking , that we should exclude all other ways of thinking, thats even more stupid

@xTheMaraTron Something tells me you don't have a PhD in Geology. A long time ago. Oceans were higher, when they lower, they leave behind things like fish or in your case seashells. So what if the ten commandments were written in stone, what does hat prove? The bible isn't completely false, it just isn't completely the truth either. Finding things hat occurred in the bible such as an event doesn't prove God exists.

@barymire Evolution allowed me to use logic. I learned quantum physics. That is how i began not believing in God. Why play a game with people if this god is so merciful? Why put all this things that prove the things he did wrong and allow there to be proof of other ways of creation? To deserve who goes to heaven? That is like having a baby, then teaching him 2 + 2 = 5 his whole life ,then say i will kill him if he doesn't tell me what 2 plus 2 is. He says 5, then dies. Not so merciful to me.

That was interesting. Very interesting. One of the things I have to say though, is God made everything right? But how did he do it? Much like how science says we just kind of popped up from germs god breathed life in us from the 'sand'. that probably makes no sense but i thought it would be interesting to point out.
