They mate, have babies, the owners dont want the babies, the babies end up in the wrong hands or on the streets, they get picked up by something like RSPCA and then are killed. People are the cause of this, we domesticated animals and then we cause them to suffer. Anyway, why is it ok to cut off the tip of a boys penis for no good reason, but it's not ok to spay/neuter to stop needless suffering and killings?

Humans get themselves fixed to avoid contributing to the human overpopulation problem (well at least some do, others couldn't care less), however animals do not have the ability to understand or comprehend these things and so we have to step in and make sure they don't suffer needlessly.

@b0w5er I don't have a problem with your point of view except for the fact that in the world we live in, cats cannot survive well on their own. They get eaten by coyotes, kidnapped by people who sell them to animals labs, tortured by sick people, hit by cars, they catch disease and they kill millions of wild birds (not for food).

@Banim It is our obligation. We brought "pets" into existence. And now, there are simply too many to provide homes for. The "extras" get killed. So, the solution is to prevent them from being born. Cats and dogs don't "decide" to have babies. They have a drive to have sex - and babies happen.
