  • Lol "Bla Bla Bla Bla"

  • as fast as its getting late and im lying in bed watching youtube, i start seraching for food.. oriental food is my favorite just before i go to sleep :D

  • From when I was a kid, long ago, one of my favorites to get at the food stales, help me with the spelling please was gai see mean. Really yummy strips of chicken with gravy over noodles, which also makes me think of a chopped bbq pork, saucey over rice. If I can spell them, then I can find them. Help please. Singapore's got the most kickin' food!

  • seetoh is a bloody turn off. eat like yau gui. ZZZZZ

  • Isnt it a little too dry?

  • Yum

  • i like that hat!

  • Terima Kasih Seetoh for sharing a sumptuous recipe of hokkien mee, I had this last time I was in SG Feb 2010 with my bestfriend, sister and hubby, and enjoyed it at Makansutra near Esplanade... also had oyster omelet (luak)... yum-o:-D

  • yes seetoh i can smell it all the way from LA=((

  • @eLtitude Thanks for the compliment to singapore. Even though I'm not Seetoh. :D

  • seetoh, you mess up the hae mee, the noodles all chopped up lar, no gravy somemore, next time get the expert to do it

  • its not hokkien prawn mee without LARD!!!

  • Whoa! Thank you so much! Now I don't have to travel 13 hours just to eat hokkien mee.

  • junk food

  • man, i'm starving now!!!

  • Lard is awesome!

  • this is quite a feat for a first time cooker. But, if you never try and try, you’ll never succeed. Good luck and let us know how it went.”

  • this one authentic singapore hokkein mee! good that i find this recipe... i am going to try tonight!

  • nice video! i made it today, i never cook ever but im guna start thanks for this

  • ya, but still, why fish and meat together? it tastes ok, but would not it be better with only one, meat OR fish?

  • @MsSaunataga

Its the blend of the pork and prawn stock that characterizes the dish, it wouldn't be the same if it were only meat or fish.

  • @MsSaunataga you would think...but the combination is outta this world. believe me...it's heavenly. pork and shrimp are a great combination.

  • @mingemil as expected, an American.

  • @mingemil yes, americans have a hard time in singapore with the words PRAWN and SHRIMP! to asians, 'shrimp' is fish bait...coz it's the tiny stuff. a single PRAWN will fill the whole mouth! LOL it took me about 10 years of living in the states to forgo saying 'prawn' coz i got nothing but funny looks from people! lol

  • @thubbster well its because people these are not culturaly divers. I know that in america they call prawns shrimp and capsicums peppers and or bell peppers. I saw a vid here called chinese pepper beef and some idiot was insulting people asked where is the pepper (the spice) yet not all countires say bell peppers i know polish people call it paprika and the brits and Aussies say capsicum :D

  • Can yoo smell it??

  • @JDzPiT jejemon!!!!

  • looks delicious. i did have a difficult time understanding the strange accent but it's all good.

  • i really mizz this food when i was in singapore

  • Love this dish thanks for video Aussie in Margaret river about to to dine
