@Aparnajha13 This cookie has been called Naan Khataai for centuries and I think everybody loves to call 'em these. Giving 'em another English name would be rather spoiling it's originality.
@imsarah1 Sarah I also remember that variation. In those, an egg is used for eggwash, just before baking the cookies, brush some egg on the top. It gives them a nice glow and makes them brown.
Is it 50 gms or 75 gms of butter, the recipe on the webpage says 75 gm butter, but the chef says 50 gms. can anyone clarify, whoever tried out the recipe.
i think he did that by flattening the dough into a big size like a pizza dough, then put the chocolate dough on top of the white dough. then roll them up and cut it verticaly. that's how my mom did :)
roll a plain dough into a disc shape. roll the dough with cocoa powder into a disc shape of the same size. place one over the other - if u want white out & chocolate in, then that way or reverse. then roll them into a log. wrap plastic wrap on the log & let it cool for 1 hour for the butter to set again (as it would have started melting during rolling) after 1-2 hours, remove the log, with a sharo kitchen knife, cut into cookies depending on how thick u want them.
h, i need recipe , can you -------------
