...and UM's offense is pedestrian against a great D like OSU's. Miami will have a decent defense, so I don't see Tress lighting them up offensively. It won't be necessary though, because our D will hold them to under 20 points. Mark it down. I'm thinking 10-17 tops.
I see our our offense putting up 24-30 points. The only way Miami has a chance is if our special teams sucks really bad, we turn the ball over, and get shafted on penalties. I don't see it, but it's hard to predict.

Wisconsin is going to be AMAZING this year. Really only 3 loseable games on their schedule. I see them going 10-2, maybe 11-1 if everything goes right for them. Iowa will be tremendous as well, ditto with OSU. Those games against one another will determine the title. OSU@Wisconsin (both teams likely will be undefeated), Wisconsin@Iowa, and near the end of the season OSU@Iowa. WOW. Should be exciting, and ALL these games against one another will be on ABC saturday night primetime.
@cameroncrazie818 Wisky should be tough. Great QB (Tolzien), receiving corps (Toon and Gilreath), Clay at running back, Good O and D lines. They will be stout this year as long as Clay stays healthy.

To be fair, I will say though that Allen Bailey (DE) is an absolute monster that we will have to deal with. Luckily we have a pretty darn good D-line. But, I still see him causing problems. Miami's O-line (and Harris) will definitely have their hands full too (we have Heyward and a bunch of other skilled guys).
If we can pressure Harris, he will make mistakes when rushed. Just look at those highlights of him last year in UM's losses.

@marshall2411 No worries about the 'Canes. They don't do well outside the state of Florida for starters. Haven't beaten a top 25 team on the road (outside of Florida) since 1993. Plus, Miami went 1-4 against the best defenses they played last year - lost to Va Tech, North Carolina, Clemson and Wisconsin. They beat Oklahoma at home, but Heisman Sam Bradford was out with injury. We will shock the 'Canes with our D just like in 2002.
Toughest game will be Wisky or Iowa (both on the road).

You see in the big 10 most teams don't try to have quick offences, they have very time consuming offences because the coaches try to control the clock and wear down defences. Then they rely on tough defences stop the other team from scoring keeping time of possession mostly in the hands of their offence. Thats how Big 10 teams win, and thats how most coaches play their teams

Watch the first Wisconsin TD at 1:19. The offensive line just mows down the defense. Six defenders are on the ground. A couple guys on offense are just standing there watching Clay walk in.
@sheepburn You know what's scary? Wisconsin's ENTIRE 5 starting offensive lineman are back this year. Hell, their entire TWO DEEP Ofensive Line is back. Tolzein will be better with another year's experience. Clay is a BEAST. Brown and Ball are very good backups that will give him a breather. Toon is a NIGHTMARE in the redzone given his size. Anderson is a good receiver too. I expect Gilreath to be used more in 3WR sets given his speed, and Kendricks is a GREAT TE. Look for a great UW O in 2010!

As a Miami fan: The sad thing here is, that after playing close to our worst game of the season (I think the VT game has this one beat), we STILL had a shot to win this at the end. I was really mad about losing and Wisconsin controlled us the whole game, but for Wisconsin fans, Miami still had a chance to win. That's pretty bad on Wisconsin's part. Just putting that out there, I don't think anyone else has.

...and UM's offense is pedestrian against a great D like OSU's. Miami will have a decent defense, so I don't see Tress lighting them up offensively. It won't be necessary though, because our D will hold them to under 20 points. Mark it down. I'm thinking 10-17 tops.
I see our our offense putting up 24-30 points. The only way Miami has a chance is if our special teams sucks really bad, we turn the ball over, and get shafted on penalties. I don't see it, but it's hard to predict.

Wisconsin is going to be AMAZING this year. Really only 3 loseable games on their schedule. I see them going 10-2, maybe 11-1 if everything goes right for them. Iowa will be tremendous as well, ditto with OSU. Those games against one another will determine the title. OSU@Wisconsin (both teams likely will be undefeated), Wisconsin@Iowa, and near the end of the season OSU@Iowa. WOW. Should be exciting, and ALL these games against one another will be on ABC saturday night primetime.

To be fair, I will say though that Allen Bailey (DE) is an absolute monster that we will have to deal with. Luckily we have a pretty darn good D-line. But, I still see him causing problems. Miami's O-line (and Harris) will definitely have their hands full too (we have Heyward and a bunch of other skilled guys).
If we can pressure Harris, he will make mistakes when rushed. Just look at those highlights of him last year in UM's losses.
I just see UM having a rough night offensively.

@marshall2411 No worries about the 'Canes. They don't do well outside the state of Florida for starters. Haven't beaten a top 25 team on the road (outside of Florida) since 1993. Plus, Miami went 1-4 against the best defenses they played last year - lost to Va Tech, North Carolina, Clemson and Wisconsin. They beat Oklahoma at home, but Heisman Sam Bradford was out with injury. We will shock the 'Canes with our D just like in 2002.
Toughest game will be Wisky or Iowa (both on the road).

Ohio st defensive linemen are among the biggest and fastest in college football. They will run your offensive line over sack you repeatedly. Whats this with ACC people not understanding big 10 football tactics when they talk about whooping butt.. You see in the big 10 most teams don't try to have quick offences, they have very time consuming offences because the coaches try to control the clock and wear down defences. Then they rely on tough defences stop the other team from scoring keeping time of possession mostly in the hands of their offence. Thats how Big 10 teams win, and thats how most coaches play their teams

@sheepburn You know what's scary? Wisconsin's ENTIRE 5 starting offensive lineman are back this year. Hell, their entire TWO DEEP Ofensive Line is back. Tolzein will be better with another year's experience. Clay is a BEAST. Brown and Ball are very good backups that will give him a breather. Toon is a NIGHTMARE in the redzone given his size. Anderson is a good receiver too. I expect Gilreath to be used more in 3WR sets given his speed, and Kendricks is a GREAT TE. Look for a great UW O in 2010!

As a Miami fan, we played horrible in that game but the rest of yall need to kill the damn excuses. Yes it was cold, yes we had injuries but it's not like no other team does not face adversity. As for anyone else who wants to take shots & whatnot.....Fuck em *Kanye Shrug*

my impression of every miami fan on here........drrrr we played bad drrrr we had injuries drrrrr but we almost won drrrr an it was cold drrrr we won a title a decade ago drrrrr........i think its pretty accurite because thats all ive heared from the fuckups known as miami fans. you got beat, man the FUCK up. you lost to the 4th best team in the big ten in a mostly lopsided game, deal with it.

As a Miami fan: The sad thing here is, that after playing close to our worst game of the season (I think the VT game has this one beat), we STILL had a shot to win this at the end. I was really mad about losing and Wisconsin controlled us the whole game, but for Wisconsin fans, Miami still had a chance to win. That's pretty bad on Wisconsin's part. Just putting that out there, I don't think anyone else has.
