  • Nice footage.

  • try to relax fuckfaces

  • im nnot being stupid here but say your the man at 0:23 imagine if that was your first day on the job and you accidently pulled the trigger lol

  • @slickcrip I doubt the weapon was loaded. No need to have it loaded for a training op like this and if it was there would only be blanks. If that were the case there would be a BFA on the weapon which there clearly isn't :)

  • @ginjaninja1988 ok ? was a joke. didnt expect anything serious from anyone but ok :) thanks for the info ? lol

  • @MrManus667 the MP5 is the SMG of choice for every Counter Terrorism team in the world.

  • @McManus667 The MP5(s) at 1:37 and 1:41 ... telescopic stocks. Obviously, they do use them.

  • This isn't 'Special OPS'. This is a joint operation with the RNZAF and the NZ Police STG. It is a training excercise.

  • the NZSAS is one of the most elite fighting forces in the world up against the rangers.

  • @kiwijakey they only have 4 million people to choose from. thats hardly much of a choice if you think about it. because the majority of those people have no interest in military. its NZ. they dont fight. (extremely rarely will they fight) that leaves them with a huge disadvantage. no comabt experience = unprepared. they are not elite. just small. and not by choice either. awesome training but practice doesnt mean shit if you dont put it to use.

  • @criscobucketeer u are full of i.t nz army, despite being incredibly under funded, regularly performs well in combat in places like timor-leste, afghanistan, bosnia, sudan, ect.

  • @criscobucketeer So do you suggest then finding reasons to put our skills to use? Wouldn't that be counter productive? Unlike others we don't need a war every 5 mins to boost our egos. We know that we aren't the world's most battle hardened or most experienced warriors but when we need to fight we do it well. Kiwis have proven their prowess in combat from WW1, WW2, Malaya to Vietnam. Kiwis were instrumenal in the forming of the first units of the SAS in WW2 and infact without

  • @criscobucketeer the assistance of the Kiwi elements of the Long Range Desert Group the SAS would have been disbanded and sent home before they even got started. Our NZSAS work hand in hand with other SF around the world bheind the scenes. The NZSAS unlike the SF of most other and of course larger countries are considered in the internaional Special Operations Community as a Tier One outfit. They work hand in hand with the Australian SASR, British SAS and the United States

  • @criscobucketeer Navy DEVGRU and Army Compartmented Elements (Delta Force) aswell as the Canadian JTF2. Thus the NZSAS are part of a group considered more elite than the majority of even western Special Operations. No we don't openly fight in many wars these days and our armed forces are hampered by fastly drying up funds in the face of an ever growing welfare from the craddle to grave system. Yes we aim to commit to lower intensity operations ususally within our region

  • @criscobucketeer because we are not arrogant enough to think every fight is worth it and we can win every fight. Yet throughout history NZ has punched far above it's weight and let me tell you that only having 4 million people is not a problem when you have good people. etc...Isreal has a population 7,624,600 and they do pretty well at defending themselves.

  • @ginjaninja1988 shut up. what a long winded waste of time that response was. youre so quick to say americans are arrogant and need war to boost their ego yet nz is following us into every war we have. when we fight, you fight. you just have much less men doing much less important jobs. you are back up for the big boys. know your place.

  • @ginjaninja1988 and the only reason nz helped in any way in the forming of the original SAS team was because the brits stole supplies from the kiwi camp. dont go patting urself on the back for that one dude.

  • @criscobucketeer Ever heard of the LRDG? look them up.

  • @evejunkie1942 what does that prove? just because some kiwis were in a desert group during ww2 doesnt mean anything. it might have meant something back then but this is 2012 buddy. ur obsolete group really has nothing to do with todays special forces.

  • @criscobucketeer

Our SAS isn't obsolete, it being around longer than the US spec forces is saying something. It has state of the art equipment just like any other country would. Must be hard the NZSAS received the presidential unit citation for there work in Afghanistan aswell as well as US Generals who have handed out medals to kiwis.

2nd, we aren't anyone's bitch. I've done my deployment to A'stan and it was peacekeeping, NZ hasn't been in a combat role since Vietnam.

  • @4lifeNz I didnt say SAS was obsolete you douche bag. i said the LRDG is. so what exactly was the point of ur comments? to start an argument? you just responded with ridiculous facts and preaching about kiwis. your role is as peacekeepers u say? ours is handling the heavy shit. SAS may have been around longer than american spec ops but what difference does that make? ur dumb. quit trying to pat urself on the back

  • @criscobucketeer

Calm down, i wasn't starting an argument.

I read your earlier post the wrong way.My bad.

    Enjoy your day XD

  • @criscobucketeer

Also if your going to preach about knowing how the SAS first came about, learn it properly.

The LRDG was mostly kiwis,(no, i am not trying to say we get credit for starting the SAS), we took part in many ops. Don't say i know shit, as my dad's dad who died a few years ago was in the LRDG. He's got the photos and medals to prove kiwis weren't a pussy ass little country with squat to show.

NZ didn't have to go to Iraq or Afghanistan, but to help people in need we did

  • yeh its all bad ass until these guys start getting shot up.

  • You would think when they approach a ship by air they would fly in at a high altitude so as they could avoid the ships radar, coming in low the ship would see them from about 40mile out,. But then again it wouldn't look as cool for the video if they did that.

  • Hell yeah....Go the "1NZSAS" Black Ops :)

  • Comment removed

  • These chaps are STG.

  • @Boolag01 You are right there, this is the special tactic group and a mix of AOS personal.

  • im british lived in nz for four years ... and that is fucking baddass

  • that ferry's the shit :O

  • dickheads dickheads i was an11 year old beja army battalion my rank was captain hw bad is that nw im in the

    nz cadet forces

  • Wonderful video, thanks for posting. There certainly are some brainless cunts commenting on this video. I just wanted to say, because these guys are tier two, they aren't technically special operations, or a direct action unit. But they're good. I went to a security conference in Melbourne in 2009 when I was working in government, and the VIC POLICE SOG commented how fit, agile, adaptable and fucking mean our chaps are - "We aren't going to try to train you, we're going to try to kill you."

  • Most of you guys are rong, I've worked under NZSAS and Other CT units Around New Zealand And, The Helos Aren't Providing Lots of cover as you Guys think Because you have watched Black hawk Down or what ever but the Helos Do provide Movements intell for the Ground crew whilst they are in orbit and Most Terriorsts have training and know that if they Run out into the open they are going to get wasted by the CT team, and Firing any RPGs of a moving ship is a waste of tme you have no chance of hiting

  • @CamoKiwiNZL Really mate? You worked under the NZSAS ? and your aloud to say it pfft dont lie mate lol You cant give say that when your a current or ex SAS.Only time you can announce it is when you get permission to do so.It could put you or your family in danger.Think about it.If you say what you are then you IP adress etc could be getting traced ;)

  • @CamoKiwiNZL You wouldnt know anything about our SAS units, and coming from a currently serving TF member, you wouldnt make it in our army either. Take a hike.

  • Response of a Canadian after learning that I spent a large portion of my childhood growing up on NZ's South Island: Oh fuck, you are dangerous.

  • SAS, AUSAS AND NZSAS ARE THE BEST

  • attrd: the SAS & other spec ops teams around the globe practice the same insertion methods on moving vessels... does that mean theyre amateurs as well?? or maybe the RPGs can distinguish between Police & Military. Youre a twat mate go back to reading Commando comics & dont criticise these guys unless youve done this shit yourself!!

  • Agreed... these guys were serious business

  • @whadacrackup Do you know that this is a Police anti terror squad called the STG, Special tactics group. this particular exercise was on the news in NZ.

  • Cool video... NZ is the best

  • ametuers terriosts have rpgs

  • ametuer terrorists that are'nt suicidal know not to fire an rpg on the same ferry theyre on

  • The idea was to give the team practice in fast roping onto a moving ship and conduct counter terrorist operations. Not all contingencies are deliberately planned for when conducting such exercises.

  • There is a 3rd helicopter watching over the two which the guys are fast roping from - this chopper has marksmen which will take out any rpg guys

  • @attrd u are an idiot!!! Every spec ops force around the world use the same tactics when boarding a hostile boat, and as for RPGs thats why they have 2 other helicopters circling the boat with snipers scoping it out, if anyone pulls out of a cabbin with an rpg they are dead before they get lock on and they are extremely inaccurate anyway.

  • @attrd dude your speaking bullshit go back 2 playing COD or some shit.

  • both kuck, need training from the IDF....

  • whose better/ Special ops from the air Force/Army or the AOS from the Police?

  • AOS isnt special ops

  • Comment removed

  • Decent from fast ropes will be slower when your platform is moving.

  • @johns198890 uh the army/airforce/navy... they combine into only one spec ops group in NZ which is far superior to the AOS, not that the AOS aren't good, coz they are. One group in NZ that has evaded alot of attention though, is the CTTAG recently renamed to Commandos, haven't seen much footage of them.

  • Awesome vid

  • sorry...?

  • no its not.

  • I think he was takin the piss about the size of new zealands armed forces

  • Lol, I before I wasnt paying attention and its kinda hard to tell if its sarcasim or not in a peice of text.

  • I know the guy was being a dick any way

  • hey, don't shoot the messenger

  • Negative - this is probably around 1/4 of the NZ Police STG... There isn't any need for more than 80-100 of these guys...

  • @Parked3Wide hey dude where are you from?

  • @Parked3Wide Mate the NZSAS has 700 current members,You must be a tard of an aussie child

  • @WRH90059 you dont know what your talking about man.. theres not even 700 in first battalion or 2/1 let alone the group. plus only roughly 8 people get badged per year.

  • @Parked3Wide hahaha you know whats funny, NZSOC have been asked by the the American president personally to work with US Spec op units in operations around the globe, and have recieved multiple commendations from the US president.......

  • @Parked3Wide and the airforce too right?

  • Sweet, cheers for that. awesome vid.

  • BIg Fan of ya work. Nice!
