As a SH (Soul Hunter) you'll want to go with a wand and magic shield combo, at about level 60/65+ you'll want to change to a staff.

No, it's not an addon. Requiem used to have that design but they later changed it instead to the simpler select rings. A shame if you ask me...

There are two bars at the bottom, I'm assuming you're referring to the bar on the top-right side? That's the summons bar. It's used for summons only. You won't be seeing that unless you're a soul hunter, or possibly a hunter or rogue.

its 1 melee summon, 1 healing summon, and the third is his clone, so technically its 2, since the clone is a seperate spell from summon.

As a soul hunter, you get 2 fighting summons and the first one you get is a clone of yourself, basically all it does it stand there and get hit (meat shield). As a dominator you can get up to 5 summons, including your illusion. I'll try to post a dominator video later.
