PFLP was started by a christian and is no doubt the largest of the groups in palestine that isnt islamic based although it is open to Muslims I would assume the majority of muslims wanting to fight would join Hamas. Not all muslims see Islam as a political ideology, to some it is their spiritual guidance and their belief and has no bearing on their political viewpoints.

Mixing religion and politics is a dangerous game.

Yes there are less leftist militant muslims than Islamist militants at grassroots level but this is due to general decrease in leftist socialist ideology in mordern times and the spread of Wahhabism.

The PFLP is not only made up of men. Many women are members of PFLP. They are valiant warriors and are fighters as fierce as men. One of the most famous members of the PFLP is Layla Khaled (A woman) she put the was partly responsible for putting the Palestinian cause in the international light.
