There are three supply routes to land locked Afghanistan. Pakistan, Russia and air.

1) The Pakistan line is risky because of convoy attacks inside Pakistan.

2) Russia does not allow weapons to pass. only ordinary goods. If Russia cooperates, then you need permission from at least two land locked countries that border Russia and Afghanistan. This route is also full of Guerrilla fighters in north Afghanistan.

3) Air is too expensive and time consuming.
