Could you let me know if your B100 heater worked in the end? I am about to purchase some diesel night heaters and would like to run them on B100 (BioDiesel)
ove i dont e discouraged by people i think as times get harder the narrow minded amongst us will eventually get the idea, now are you running this on bio deisel or red deisel and if bio deisel then what mixture did you use thanks and good luck warren
I have installed hundreds of these in semi trucks. They all smoke a small amount when they startup They do not like alot of bio diesel they run about 65% max output.I run in my house 30% kerosene, 50% fuel oil,20% bio it makes a good hot mix.If you run more then 20% bio then they clog up more then a 60 year old over weight bacon eater.
What roll does that tiny solar panel play in this? I can tell you it does NOTHING. eberspacher take a heavy current for about 60sec on startup (glow plug) and that is repeated on shutdown to burnout access fuel. I suspect that sized solar panel would have to connected for several months of average British sun exposure to come close to ever recharging the hit from one eberspacher start up/shutdown cycle.
@stonefisk Agreed - it does a little to help the battery, but we've since switched to ctek chargers to keep them in good condition. That said, the panels have a whole day to make up for just sixty seconds of starting, so the balance isn't quite as bad as you make out.
@LockFarm Sir, can you kindly answer a question for me. What is the name of the black machine that you have incorporated into this video? Thank you very much-I love the idea!!!
"Little bit of smoke when it first lights!" "It's a little bit noisy at first!" [sound of jet taking off] ROFL! I shall bear this excellent design [complete with its duck tape holding all the parts together] in mind, should I ever wish to burn my house to the ground and invalidate my insurance.
Normally these devices are installed with intake silencers and exhaust systems. They're also usually run the other way up (exhaust pointing down) - hence the smoking. In four years of use, that unit has only broken down once (it's keeping us warm as I type). They have very sophisticated safety systems and are used across the world.
I put biodiesel in my tiki torches they smell good, but I don't think they are effective against the mosquitos which is the reason people use them in the first place.
they are called eberspacher heaters (dont quote me on spelling) very good for areas up to the size of large trucks/coaches. Would be innefficent in a home or other similar application. I use one in a frame to heat a large army tent.

It's a really bad idea to run an eberspacher air top or eberspacher hydronic heater on waste vegetable oil.
I run my truck on waste using a twin tank system and have for 4 years now.
Eberspacher units are very expensive, have expensive parts and have a check system shutdown process that cuts in when somethings not right.
Felton Marine in Brighton service them and have many stories of people damaging them on bio or neat wvo.

Thanks for the video, I've just purchased one of these and was trying to figure out how it works. Now I know it needs 12v and diesel!

Great work. Another neat thing to try is to run BioDiesel on model aircraft engines. Do a search for Norvel Biodiesel for my videos
