WHOA!! GREAT SHORT FILM!! actors were amazing nd the story was so well written! :) I was just wondering, if you have an idea for a short film that would probably involve a green screen and CGI would VFS be able to help make that short film happen? cause i really have this great short film i really want to make wen i attend VFS soon and was only wondering... but once again this short film was SUPERB!! =D

@joshika572 At VFS there is the opportunity to collaborate across departments, for example between the Film Production and 3D Animation & Visual Effects programs. However, our programs are only 1 year in length, meaning that all students must complete their courses and projects within that time. Thanks!

It's too bad VFS forces the students to re-dub their entire films with ADR and build entire soundscapes.

Really leaves them all feeling the same and with this eerily silent, fake sounding audio.

A film school should be teaching students that 70% of the movie is sound and in order to provide the most realistic experience, you want to get the best audio you can on the day in production sound, and only do what is NECESSARY in post to enhance the experience.

there is a lot that has to be approved in this video per example the title sequence no one has thought about it I guess. And how does he make in the house does he break in or does he get lot in and if Phil is way to far away.

@atldude12345 thanks a lot! we're currently working on a feature script, focusing on expanding the scope of the story and exploring the characters' journeys a little more in depth.

Wow! I thought at first that this might be an attempt to show how disconnected we look when using technology, up until the shot with the neural(?) interface. Was pretty much gripped from their on in. I immediately thought of the 'the mark of the beast' but this was a refreshing spin on the concept of a divide in society based on compliance and non-compliance or haves and have nots.

"Hah, Luddite eh, I'll give you Luddite when I taze you into next Tuesday" *Tsszzzzzzz*.

Great stuff, so many accents. Good concept, acting, writing, sound, picture, all of it. I'm gonna take it that she didn't manage to cut the thing out, which is why he tazered her. Otherwise that was the only unclear thing. 5/5

This is such amazing work! Whoever did this, I am so envious of you. Everything is so well thought out, and executed! And the ending was so BAM, I liked it a lot. Especially how he kept trying to wake her, I liked that part a lot. And I think the actors were more than just decent, too. Anyways, I hope when I go to VFS I get to make work of this quality.

Great film though. But it's fine the way it is, I wouldn't want to see this made into a full-length film. Sometimes it's best to leave questions unanswered.

@dalton9696 i agree w/ your assessment. we tried do that w/ our characters of Joseph (who represents reluctance) and Lynne (who represents embrace), but i think that this theme of technology and humanity's relationship could be further explored in a full-length film (fingers crossed!)

what we wanted to focus on was the immediacy of our current obsession w/ technology and where we may be headed in the not-so-distant future. i'm glad you liked it though, despite being only 'entertaining'

Very nice short film, very stylish and polished, well directed, very decent actors, but it could had a greater potential if the story was more directed, this could be very interesting to push further the story and make a good point with our relation with technology. What I unsterdand from this movie is that taser guns will save us from technology. Anyways, I really enjoyed it, but only on an entertaining base, not on a film that I'll think about for days, what it could have been.
