Hey John, I appreciate the comment, but that video is really old/bad lol. How has training been going? I jsut qualified for USATF Indoor nationals in the weight baby! Did you bomb the discus 200 any more since it started getting colder?
Ball seems to get behind you starting on the first turn, work on keeping ball in line with right knee and getting your right foot down faster (reason for falling back at release). Not bad. Maybe in practice bite your shirt collar to keep your head in line with the ball? Keep arms relaxed don't pull. Good Luck.
It's really different from weight... No yanking allowed haha. It's getting easier and easier keep 4 turns in though. I'm looking foward to trying to gian some speed and fixing the release and lowpoint.
Sedykh and Koji have talked about in Clinic about the release and both feel that the release is directly correlated to what you did in your first 3-4 turns. Maybe look at some video and slow it down. Perhaps you may be an error you can correct will will in turn correct your hammer release.
the Low point of the ball if over my right foot and that make it really hard keep the let foot on the ground a the release and slig the ball out there. I'm doing more of a hay bail toss lol. being back ont he left foot at 270 and being more upright a little earlier should help move the lowpoint over a little and fix the release somewhat... Sounds easy... its been 4 years and i stiff havent been able to fix it lol

Thanks for the advice. I have never heard of biting the shirt collar. Also, you're right, i do pull it alot.

Have you ever tried a toe turn on your first rotation?

Sorry, one other thing, your speed progression looks fine, don't mess with it.
