Well everyone else might think this movie is crap but this is my second fav of the six movies. I love this movie and I think it was done well enough to not be insulted the way it is.
@TheRevanchists while i can see where you are coming, from i disagree and think that while pivitol to the star wars universe it was the weakest out of all the films.
@CAPT4305 Everyone is allowed to have an opinion...just like I think Darth Maul is the most overrated Sith in the enitre SW universe. I found nothing about him to be "cool" like many seem to. even the freakin double bladed lightsaber, I wasn't honestly that impressed with it. I didn't expect it but wasn't impressed.
I think this movie was underrated because it was a bad one. The whole plot is lame and terribly performed. Why C3P0 has to appear and worse, made by Anakyn and stay in Tatooine ? (!?!...too pushy...) not to mention that stupid Jar-Jar and all those strange creatures that does not add anything to the story... Bad movie that lacks connection with a true Star Wars saga, sorry. The first trilogy was way better.
Phantom Menace is EXTREMELY underrated. Maybe it's just me, because for me, this movie is nostalgic. I first REALLY saw it when I was 5 or 6, so I didn't really rip apart movie like some deranged critic, so I gladly accepted it as a distant, epic film. I haven't seen the movie in about 7 or 8 years, and I'd be more than happy to see it again.
I wish Darth Maul owned Obi-wan. It would be epic if they made seperate stories of that sith. If Darth Maul had his own saga. It would be more epic :D
Brilliant piece of Cinema. Seems like with all the different variations of Star Wars film music from different composer's and Symphony's I've heard , only Mr. Williams seems to be able to get this one right.
