In norway the animals for halal slaughtering are sedated so that they don't feel any pain. It's illigal to do it without the sedation.
The movement you see in the animal after their troath is cut, is many times death cramps and not proof of that the animal still is alive.

i have seen sick and twisted things in the world, for those of us who aren't butchers this can look very traumatic, truth is there is no fully humane method of killing animals for food, we are very us to only seeing packaged beef or goat but never think back to when hunting and killing for food was normal. Honestly i am a good sportsman and there is a much better way to kill an animal and i believe halal is a sick method and so are the people who practice it.

painless or more easy on the human eyes. the truth is nobody who has tasted death(man or animal) has lived to describe it. stunning doesn't fully drain animals off blood and there remains chance of meat spoiling earlier. and as much as i know its the flow of blood that reduces pain. if u want to experiment; if u ever have a toothache, go and donate blood, the blood flow in ur body will reduce and u will feel a lot less pain.
