  • This guy is nasty in #7 not only does he switch stances from right to left he switches hand grips from right sleeve to left wrist in a second

  • Taiotoshi perfected to left and right gives a huge attacking angle. A japanese instructor I knew in Japan said it takes 250,000 repetitions each side to master it and he used a wooden pole in the ground with rubber belts to practise this throw. He could really throw with Taiotoshi and it was almost unstoppable even when I retreated.

  • isn't #6 a drop ippon seoi nage??

  • rhe UKR almost killed you

  • Interesting... He does numbers 5 and 7 grabbing the wrist, instead of the sleeve. And in number 5 it`s both hands in the arm. No lapel grip.

    This guy is awesome!

  • #6 is a seionage.. no lift as it is a drop seionage

  • number 4 required some help from the hips, but awesome none the less

  • #6 was definitely a seoinage or seoitoshi

  • #6 was definitely an ippon-seoinage

  • me encantah!!!!!

  • 6 was ippon seo nagi or like drop seo nagi

  • Wow, incredible technique!!!

  • Insane number 8 O___o Under the guard it's just impossible to make ippon like that lmao

  • I definetly wanna learn 6.

  • You're lucky it's the easiest of the video :D

  • brilliant throws!

  • 4 is the BEST throw I have EVER seen in my f**king life!

  • 6 is seoi nage

  • seoi otoshi. =)

  • damn he makes it look so easy....

  • Lee is a stud. Tai otoshi is one the hardest throws to perfect.

  • It is hard, even thought it's one of the first you learn. It's hard to use it in a fight, since there are so many ways to counter it.

  • indeed.

  • @serekithegreat tai otoshi was the easiest for me... everybody always throws a running hook punch and throws themselves. I just redirect them.

  • 5 is ipon seio nage

  • #5 is clearly tai otoshi, I think you mean #6 and that's right.

  • yea i mean #6

  • 5 is taotoshi!

  • i said i mean 6 shut up

  • Someone please, is there no ground game at all in Judo? I thought people did some ground, I know its focused more on stand up throws and takedowns, but theres no ground at all in tournaments?

  • it depends on the players. some people dont want to exhaust themselves doing groundwork, or they would rather try and go for the ippon with a throw. some people are stronger on the ground, others prefer standing work.

  • It depends on certain factors.

The ref (some allow more ground play).

The players (if they are constantly moving towards something, then they'll avoid the stall).

The tournament/games (some venues allow for more ground...because they cater to more knowledgeable viewers, while some just want pretty throws).

  • there used to be a lot more ground game but the sport version started going more towards just throws because they were prettier to watch, which sucks imo

  • Well, when it`s an ippon there is no point in continue with ground fighting, but I think you have a point when it is a yuko or a wazari. Many referees give no time for ne-waza. That sucks.

Even though I like ne-waza I`m totally against victory by pin. I think it should score points, but never end a fight.

  • not when the throws are as high standard as this, they score an ippon.

  • But how it seems easy, we would say it is a Nage-Komi.

    Mais comme ça semble facile!!!

Etonnant on dirait qu'il est entrain de faire un Nage-Komi!!!!

  • so easy for him to do it in competition!

  • nice Tai Otoshi i really liked it keep up the

good work i liked number 7 the best anyways nice video

  • perfect!. he grabs the whist of the oponent, gives him a lot more control, going to try that!

  • Amazing Lee. love ya~

  • FACKIN POWNWNWNWNWNWEDD

  • jeezuz he's quick...number 5 probably had no idea wtf just happened. masterful

  • it's all from Moscow Super Cup 2004

  • From what contest are these? Judging by surroundings they are all from the same competition?

  • A series of excellent Tai Otoshis.

Just one observation... number six was a drop seoinage, not Tai Otoshi.

  • @makikomi I this it is neither, he doesn't lift, he only pulls down so in my opinion is is a seoi otoshi on both knees

  • @makikomi It was a seoi otoshi, seoi nage has a lifting action.

  • @Spaceghost4201 Take another look at the throwing action - it was not over the leg, but over the shoulder. A drop seoinage doesn't always have a lifitng action due to the fact that dropping between uke's feet is often enough to topple the person over anyhow.

  • @makikomi Seoi Otoshi means shoulder drop, which is what he did. Seoi Nage does have a lifting action, many people confuse drop seoi nage with seoi otoshi. Watch this video titled "seoi otoshi tai otoshi" for clarification.

  • unbelievable

  • waw!!!
