  • I don't know, maybe it is a genetic thing or it depends on the person but if you saw the "techno viking" video you could see a dark olive skinned german who was drunk and a bit chubby and looked roman purposely runs into some weird techno girl and techno viking owns him

  • Romans were really crazy though, in some aspects even more Barbaric then the German/Celtic barbarians, When Roman men got drunk they used to fight each other and in many cases, they killed each other, When "Barbarian men" got drunk it was a happy occasion of bonding, they also were major womanizers and women were not as respected but in roman law they were able to own property in some cases, but men were allowed to marry and bang any women they wanted in roman empires law, but women could not

  • anyone know what the first song is called?

  • @mrpineconehead

    Fundamentum

  • No conquest of Macedon & Greece?

  • @PlainFizz actually yes

  • @PlainFizz they were conquered by Rome

  • @commodoman1 I know that, what I mean is why didn't the maker add Macedon & Greece to the conquest.

  • SPQR the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What happened to the 9th Legion? They just vanished... 4000 strong, sent to destroy the Picts. They couldn't have possibly been destroyed?

  • If Drusus didn't die, all of Germania would have been eventually conquered

  • What did the Romans think of the Chinese?

  • @VanillaSnow23 They heard about them from travelers east-west about distant empire... it's shame they never met

  • @CroPETROforever The only chance they met was 2nd century bce to 2nd ce. During that time Persian Empire was in between of Roman Empire and Chinese Empire(Han). Chinese Empire and Persian Empire was allie to fight against some barbarian like turk.Persian don't want to lose it's job as the merchant between China and Rome. Chinese had sent some troop to search for roman empire but was finally give up. No more chance for them to met afterward

  • @vault34overseer but their decendants did :)

  • @commodoman1 Yeah, with weapon and something they call ''civilization"

  • @CroPETROforever at the time, which one was more superior?

  • @randomrazr Romans soldier were unstoppable force back than, means superior to chinese soldiers aswell, but china had also a great army with many bowmen, it would be a great fight, but won by romans in the end when it comes 1 on 1

  • @CroPETROforever

Too bad, the Chinese at the time are too infatuated with records and eyewitness of the Roman Empire (People, Life, Society, Politics and Architecture) to even send a sword at them. They are too infatuated just one simple source (Describing what the Romans look and act like) they send diplomats and a group of merchants to offer to the Romans, but they never made it back nor made it to Rome. There were some Roman merchants in China though, but everything else is hazy.

  • @CroPETROforever Between the Roman Legions and the Chinese bowmen, I would think that the Romans would just Testudo it out and win in the end. The Chinese army was vast and had the occasional great general but Rome managed itself with more common sense tactics that the Chinese tended to overlook...such as big shields to guard from arrows and walking in a cohesive line formation and absolute military discipline rather than running about in a barbarian mob fashion.

  • @Heyprinny Ofcourse, Roman soldiers (legions) were first professional army in human history.

  • @CroPETROforever Roman have quality,Chinese have number. In term of tactic, Chinese is not bad at all, we wrote the world greatest military treatise,The Art of War. Saying about Testudo, Chinese have a nearly exact defence formation like Roman but i don't know it's name. We agree that Roman legion's military displine is better than Chinese, but i don't think Roman legion were the first professional army. Chinese army had been developing for a long time before the Roman city were built.

  • @CroPETROforever not to mention that 1/4 of the world population lived inside roman borders

  • @CroPETROforever The Roman legions are not the first professional army. There are examples like the Assyrians, Sumerians, etc. That were professional before Persians, Romans, Chinese, Indians, etc.

  • @CroPETROforever We know that rests of one of the "centurie" of "triumvirio" Crasso (died in 43a.C Carre) arrived in China and founded a small town. The chinese were so surprised because they hadn't never seen the "testudo" formation. So, even if they were in numerical superiority they didn't killed the romans. :)

  • @CroPETROforever I think their superior and brutal training regimen of the Roman soldiers will stand out. If there is one thing that stands out and makes the legions as effective as they were is their ruthless training and severe penalty for cowardice in battle.

  • @CroPETROforever yes, but china was to far away. between them was Parthian empire, and China simply didn't saw any logic or need to expand that far to let's say attack parthians, why should they? :)

  • @Heyprinny The Chinese were using crossbows at that time.

The Han Empire is just as formidable as the Romans. Highly professional, technologically advanced, etc.

  • @CroPETROforever but didnt an emperor sent envoys to the west looking for allies?

  • peeing my PANTS at 2:18

  • FORTITUDINEM ET HONOREM

  • Italic tribes, the tribal groups of Italy before they all mixed racially, some had very dark brown skin, they had Caucasion facial features, I have seen the stupidity of Afrocentric idiots , i once saw a black man bragging about how there are so many black guys in the paintings banging white women, its degrading and immoral, but their nigger stupidity and low IQ that cannot understand genetics or anthropology compells the afro centric racist to react with emotion instead of intellect

  • @MeatstickRob88 Those of dark skins were carthaginians who lived in south of Italy. Italic races lived in centre towards the north of peninsula, etruscans and Latins.

  • @MeatstickRob88 Romans

  • Etruscans were originally a lost tribe of Isreal and if you read about sexuality in their culture, they were the most degrading and sexually sick culture, its like the Jewish mafia who specialized in snatching offspring of their Italian/Russian mafia enemies and they would have sex with the not even 1 year old child on video and send it to their enemies, Etuscan culture was not that gross but it was full of sex and they had good relations with Celtics to the North, Celtics liked Italians

  • Rep + if you wish the reestablishment of the Roman Empire.

  • those are the one's who killed jesus for salvation ? no I don't think so.......... I think they killed him because they were afraid of him ........... because he was going to be the new king of Israel !!

and they knew that he was a GREAT THREAT to them ..... because Israel was strong at the time of the prophet and king David ..... and after him , his son the king Solomon

so they don't want that to happen once more !!

but unfortunately , Jesus is still not dead :)

  • @FAAD80

The Romans don't care about Jesus, they just want to appease the Jews who want Jesus dead for "offending" Judaism (In other words, a good number of Jews did not accept Jesus as their messiah). Even then, the Jews revolted against the Romans after they got their wish which then led to the Jewish diaspora into Europe, Asia and Africa. They're persecuted everywhere and the holocaust is what gave the nationless people their land back after the Romans crushed them.

  • This video reminds me how, Rome total war, Rome total realism, And barbarian invasion are all awesome!

  • Can anyone tell me what song this is? It's not the song YouTube says it is.....

¿Me pueden decir por favor cuál canción es ésta? No es la canción que dice YouTube.....

  • sorry but what is the point of this video ? or is there even a point to all this 3rd rate 300esk fanboy claptrap .

  • i would love it to be a citizen of rome in this era.

free food supply and almost half of the year was consumed by public holidays. on normal work days they worked only 6 hours per day, the rest of the time was spent in pubs, circus or whorehouses. very appealing!

  • Now if only the Romans had met china, then they would conquer the whole europe. Grand military formations + Grand strategic minds = Unflinchable

  • @Jake4595

China compared to Imperial Rome, worse armor, far worse shields, worse swords, worse horses, far worse artillery, better or equivalent strategically, but much inferior tactically, not much greater manpower quantity than the romans, and comparative severe lack of quality,China had repeating crossbow, that would be insignificant against the roman testudo.

If romans meet the chinese in pitched battle, the chinese would have ended completely slaughtered.

  • @StellandBlood Mhmm, that must the reason why china repelled the huns and had him fleeing to find a easier target. Each country is adapted to different types of warfare and therefore armors and weapons and soldier quantity and quality will vary. But the art of war remains the same.

  • @Jake4595

China repelled the Huns knowing them well, and thanks to its great wall, wall that showed both chinese immense constructive might, yet great fear and military weakness, and at that time the totally decadent roman Empire and the Visigoths, defeated the Huns and their germanic allies with no walls,a very costly victory.

  • Comment removed

  • @Jake4595 Romans would be the victor, because of their physical strength and courage of likes of Julius caesar, Scipio, Constantine the great.

  • @aeromech84 Romans may be brave and strong, but that does not make the others weak and a coward.

  • ROMA INVICTA

  • Good video

  • Hannibal kicked their ass tough :)

  • @lgonggr not true... Hannibal ass was kicked from Romans along with entire Carthage :)

  • @CroPETROforever Hannibal was a master comander but he had like 1/2 of the troops of rome. Most of them wwere mercenairies...

  • @CroPETROforever Look up the Battle of Cannae. That's what I call an asskicking :)

  • @CroPETROforever well done!!!!! i love this

  • @CroPETROforever is it true that the Romans stablished the foundations of western civilization?

  • @commodoman1 Yes of course.

  • @lgonggr

Wasn' t their culture wiped from the earth by the Romans?

  • @XKS99 The Carthagians were defeated eventually but not because they had a better general than Hannibal

  • Roma Victor!!!

  • For the imperial glory of the Empire of Rome!

  • Strangely amongst all the great conquests of Rome. Rome herself was conquered by a single young Jewish man, of whom they nailed him to a cross.

For 300 years they persecuted his followers but yet they kept growing in numbers. When Christianity became and official religion, Rome would transform into a different form. Moving from political power, to an European ecclesiastical power. From physical power, to spiritual power.

How strange, yet life on earth is stranger than fiction.

  • @ConstantineJoseph

the romans just didn't try hard enough/were very lenient, remember the US army could have wiped out the mormons but chose not to

  • @CiderJackson

Are you kidding me? Christians were persecuted widely and millions were murdered in colosseums. Didn't try hard enough? Very lenient? You mean sending a man to death by being eaten alive by wild animals or cooking them alive is lenient?

I think you need to have your perspectives screwed on right. They tried to eliminate but people just kept converting till there was a strong minority of significant population by the 2nd century.

  • For the people of Rome!

  • Do not fear, for the west and rest of the Roman Empire shall rise again!

  • Roman Empire had a 400 year period of peace, I would define peace as the borders of the Roman Empire not changing much, then The Greek Version of the Empire raped the German invaders of Italy , Belisarius

  • Strength and Honor

  • @croPETROforever at 4:24 , who is that girl?

  • @johnduca One of the British celtic woman warriors back than :)

  • @johnduca Boudicca, an British woman that led a revolt against Rome.

  • Hey man, i was really enjoying this Latin song. I can find it on the internet or on I-tunes. can ya help me out?

  • @TheProGamer3000 just type in search bar: romelus dominus. (litterally rome or little rome dominates)

  • How can modern people know that their ancestor is Roman?

  • @vault34overseer you must have in mind that after 2nd century BC forward everyone who had roman citizenship was Roman, no matter Illyrian, German, Celtic etc... that would mean, one way or another we are all decendents of romans today, except those with haplogroup R1a because that's genetic of eastern europeans where Romans never went.

  • @CroPETROforever Oh I see. But I think the roman empire didn't last to modern day since they don't make this question clear. They didn't make a nation call Roman.

  • @vault34overseer but they made all continent roman hehe :D half of european populationt today speak romance/latin languages because of romans, and another half have influence of latin... for example, english language have 60% of words which originates from latin, belivet or not you can check it :)

  • @CroPETROforever Of course i know, it took them nearly 10 decade to fully realize that, they destroy something brilliant. After reading your channel, i really agree that every civilization and culture should be respected. As i am chinese, i am really glad that i belong to the world longest civilization. By studying the difference between these two civilization in the two edge of the world, i found out that roman can absorb other and revive like our Sui dynasty did if they could built a nation

  • @CroPETROforever This video is amazing because it accurately portrays what Roman men looked like and not the light eyed folk and pale faggots of retarted British Cinima fuck you Channing Tatum, I would beat that fucker, fucking making him what 6'2? Stupid Centurian asshole, Im 6'0 marian reforms placed emphasis on a mans size more then his height because in ancient war BIGGER MAN wins, but also skill and height was a natural advantage tatum is SCRAWNY FUCKER with a roman name haha

  • @MeatstickRob88 hehe thank you, I agree :)

  • @CroPETROforever Romans always exagerated the size and Power of the Celtic/German men because the people were scared of them, they manscaped their entire bodies some of them and only grew beards, tall muscular figures, The Roman people by the Republic and about to conquer Nothern Italy, men were about 5'5-5'8 on average depending on the city Celtic men alone were 5'10 and German men were 6'0 on average, I see why they exaggerate, but by marina reforms Roman men were big like me

  • @CroPETROforever Romans only manscaped their face , Its the Gillette wars to see how who's the best a man cant get, German boys needed to not manscape their bodies like their dads did and learn how to shave their face like romans did

  • @MeatstickRob88

The best record of what Romans really look like is from a Chinese description of them "Da Qings" during the Qing and "Da Han" during the Han signifying that the Chinese viewed the Romans as their western counterpart. The Chinese describes the Romans as being tanner than the Chinese, brown to hazel eyes, and of course the 'Roman nose'. With the mixing of Huns, Germanics, conquered peoples, I doubt a pure blood Roman exist anymore.

  • @WeAreTheRiot Romans mixed with Celtics the most actually, Im mixed Celtic/Roman , I don't know , I once read Caesar was anxious to give them Senate Seats and representation and when the Romans conquered Nothern Italy from the mainly Celtic tribes who had towns their, they became the Patrician class in Rome, it shows the Romans really respected their Celtic counter parts for some reason, Gauls/Lusitania tribes/Britons were all part of this group

  • @MeatstickRob88

The thing about Romans and the time era is that skin and such never really are considered a big deal to the Romans. They simply want you to be assimilated into the Roman way of life, pay taxes, be a citizen and enlist for the military when in need. They are aware the Ethiopian people (Aksum Kingdom) have darker skins and such, but they never consider it as a way to describe 'race'. Compare that with European empires of the 15th-20th century.....

  • @WeAreTheRiot Yea I know that, But it is a race, there are many accounts of Romans saying bad things about black skinned people but the thing is many of those Ethiopians are the same people as them, Genetic studies prove Neolithic farmers had contact with them and mixed

  • @MeatstickRob88

Humanity originally came from Ethiopia, they migrated outward and over the course of time, adapt to their environment (Lighter skin = less protection from the sun since the sun does not burn as much). The Romans of the past are much darker than the Italians today, simply because when the Germans, Huns (Asians with light skin as well), Arabs and such moved in, they blend with the population. Yes, there are times when the Romans insult Ethiopians, they're too..."nationalistic".

  • @CroPETROforever what the name of first music plz

  • @xXxxWARNINGxXx fundamentum

  • @CroPETROforever

i did'n see nothing about geto-dacs conquer, you have a column monument in the center of Rome!

  • @vault34overseer Everyone in Europe knows that we are Roman, that is a commonly known fact.

  • The romans were the nazis in that time trying to conquering and killing everybody ! They even got the same eagle sign and almost same helmets

  • @kostakii1030

Everything the European military have (Even the USA!) mimicked the Greco-Roman culture. The Imperial Eagle is used by several European Empires who at one point attempted to repeat the glory of Rome after 1453 (When the Roman Empire officially collapsed, depending on your history, fall of Byzantium isn't absolute fall of Rome but the fall of the Western half). As for conquering, please tell me this: Where would Europe be today? We'll be like Africa pre-1960's.

  • @kostakii1030 lol shut up. you obviously have no clue what your on about.

  • I love the bullshit comments about THE ROMAN EMPIRE being about: " strength and honor and sacrifice" I guess there was strength and sacrifice, but there was no honor. Where is the honor in the invasion and occupation of other soverign states, for the enslavement, explotation and murder of the people including women and children and even babies. They were a bunch of organized thugs who had the same honor that a mugger on the street who takes what you have with violence and force. They sucked.

  • @brightstarone You clearly dont understand the concept of Might makes Right. If a "Soverighn Nation" cannot protect itself then its not the invaders fault. While Slavery is wrong, there is nothing wrong with invading another country for conquest.

  • @USAPropaganda

"... there is nothing wrong with invading another country for conquest."

Hitler Believed in that same philosophy.

You clearly don't understand the concept of Nazi Morality.

I reject your perverse philosophy, might is not right.

I stand by my statement: "Where is the honor in the invasion & occupation of other soverign states, for the enslavement, explotation & murder of the people including women and children & even babies.

They were a bunch of cowardly thugs..Rome sucked"

  • @brightstarone

you watch too many Hollywood movies...read the History books, it is better!:)

  • @diegriva

You don't know what movies I watch or what books I read.

There was nothing in your reply that proved your point correct and mine incorrect.

What you posted was off topic and had no value or substance, you said nothing.

  • @XF0071 It is OK. Ise Vlachos?

  • Roman soldiers had balls as big as Notre-Dame bells.

  • @XF0071 Apo opou kai si alla giati svinis ta sxolia sou? :P

  • @XF0071 You never know...

  • Rome was light in a world of darkness

  • The Roman Empire was probably one of the greatest and most powerful nations ever in human history. It flourished for just about 2000 years (if you include the East or Byzantine Empire) In my opion if Rome had stayed Democratic it would have survived much longer. (also no division into East and West)

  • @mrpineconehead In my opinion, if roman create a nation, it will survived no matter how many time the barbarian conquered her, religion can not defeat roman also, since their mind are filled with greek idea, the most important one - human is smart and lovely

  • Dang, just watchin this just makes me wonder, what if the Byzantines survived. What if they remade the Roman Empire and recounquered the West when it fell. Or even, what if they counquered the Sassasnids and stoped the spread of Islam dead in its tracks when Muhammad came from Arabia. What would the world be like?

  • @Spartanof2012 The world will not be religious,The greco- roman civilization and the chinese civilization will stand in the two side of the world.Latin will be one of the great language of the world. But they have to free slaves, in order to built a nation, a lone living empire Christian will be still living, but as a teacher, not the master

  • look what have become of Italy after the Roman people mixed up with germanic invaders. master race my ass.

  • These nine persons who disliked this video should be put to the sword... I shall hold games in colosseum and these nine will be the main actors. Other actors will be lions, tigers and bears.. "ad bestias" for them.

  • Feel said for another civilization fell in the hand of barbarian and religion. Not much left today.

  • @Powercreated0606,The fall of the Byzantine Empire was sadder than the fall of the ancient Roman Empire.

  • "Being noble implies a loftiness of character or spirit that scorns the petty, mean, base, or dishonorable implies having elevated principles and consistently adhering to them greatness of mind or soul." One's character should be so above reproach that the individual's character is gnobilis. This best illustrated by using one's energy and talents to defend those that are less capable." Templar Knights

  • The Roman empire didn't last until 476, but until 1453 AD. In 476, Odoacer conquered only the western half of the empire. The eastern half remained unconquered, with its rightful rulers upon the throne of Constantinople. As long as the western half existed, there were two "Roman empires" or one empire with two parts, if you prefer. After the fall, there was only one empire, the eastern (which wasn't called eastern anymore, but just Roman empire). The Romans never renounced these lost territories

ALZATI PENISOLA ITALICA!

  • Greetings from Lusitania!

  • Why cant there be a fucking movie about the roman empire that actually shows the troops and fighting instead of showing just one guy who kills like 200 enemies

  • cool animation

  • dat was a sic video, cud've been a movie

  • The Roman empire never fell to be more exact, cus its influences and contributions still live on,so typically, the Roman empire fell geographically, but are still conquering influentially ,get what i mean?

  • Romans actually depended a lot in german mercenaries to fill their armies, because they became to coward in the late empire, nordic white people fought for rome and made even more for that "civilization" than the mixed race population did. It have been the romans who have lost 500-1000 years of development, they were the responsible for introduce jewish population into europe and spread christianity ,

  • I´d rather prefer to be lower class the rest of my life than be a slave of some filthy roman, you know that a roman can kill the whole family of his slave and dont be charge or punished for it?, do you know that in roman brothels the women just throw up the babies in the garbage when they born and then continue practicing prostitution?, romans were the real barbarians, germanic tribes saved europe from catastrophe, otherwise, europe would be just a shithole extension of africa.

  • @Soldier1488able No, Germans were the barbars that's why Romans came to germania and taught them about everything

  • Spartacus died in early roman history (71 BC) , for example in late empire slavery declines.

  • Yes, thanks for barbarians we have lost 500 years of devlopment, first half of middle age was a terrible period for europe, uncivilized peolple have ruled over people under serfdom(slavery) and like Romans they didn't want to do their job, roman's slave had their rights and can became rich to buy their freedom, under barbarians you can't change your social classes, if you father was a noble you can only be a noble, a slave can't became a free man.

  • barbarians never committed unnecessary acts of cruelty, they defended their land as was supposed to be, it was the romans who enter to a new territory an enslave all the people because they were too lazy to do their job, its a shame that Spartacus couldn´t defeat that reign of terror when he had the opportunity, he was the very great man in roman´s history for me. I don´t care about their contributions in law, architecture or anything else, another european people could have made that as well.

  • Sorry but they have "bastardized" all the world, Civil roman law rule all over the world, from china to Brasil, except for anglo-saxons, but you are using roman alphabet, barbarian killed all the men, rape all women like Romans, and they was multiracial, Huns became from Far Est.

  • Rome was a disgrace to europe, when they conquered any land the have killed all the men, rape all the women, and sell the little kids as whores and gladiators, and emperors that believe to be gods, half europe was bastardized under their rule, they have imported millions of slaves from asia minor and africa to every corner of the empire, "barbarians" just saved white europe from multirracial hordes like romans.

  • I don't think that China will comes under westernization like Japan, It is a independent nation, not a puppet like Japan and North Korea, when china will complete his development there are no reasons to continue its westernization, China's peolple will create his own modern culture, with small trace of western culture, the world before modern age was bipolar, and now it's returning like that.

Sorry for my horrible English, is not my first language.

  • Roman Empire and British Empire.. the Two Greatest Empire the World has ever seen. Look at our modern western society from East to West owes it's existence to these Two great Empires. Our technology and global language we speak today is English (thanks to British Empire)

  • Fucking world today, fuck nations, fuck religions . We need Empires ! We need one Empire that unites all . UNITE OR FUCKING DIE !

  • Wonderful video as usual :) and very nice art work.

Preliator is a beauty of a song, using it for next video maybe :D

  • Hell of a shame the Roman empire died out, Imagine where the world would have been today if Europe were not thrown into Slavery to the church for almost 400 years if not more! SPQR ROMA VICTOR! Greetings from a Roman descenden living in Denmark!

  • @SAHELLMAND Rome created the Church...which is why the Catholic church is called the Church of Rome...fuck sakes you knee jerk Christian haters are the dumbest mother fuckers...

  • @njdevil281 Did i tell you they didnt, No i didnt so stop accusing me you fucking moron, is not that i hate Christians i am one myself i was confirmed in a church so cut your holy ass bullshit.

  • The Roman Empire never died. Its here before your very eyes..

Don't you recognize it. Europe is the Heart of the Empire.

The US is the provincial sword of Roman Power .

  • the legionnaires were among the best warriors in history...

  • @Aaron3158047630

Because u saw them in action....

  • WE EUROPEANS ARE TRUE WARRIORS!!!

  • The Roman military machine help create the greatest empire ever in the history of ancient times. They knew of strength and honor and sacrifice for the cause of all things Roman. The fall of Rome... came by way of religion and politics. It took the Roman Senate and the rise of Christianity to help bring down the great republic.... as politics and the clergy do so today.

  • @54nomore The territory of the Roman Empire was only 1/6 of the territory of British Empire.

  • @stears555 Yes but the British possessed these things called guns, if you look the British just mostly picked on and conquered less advanced people. They had a huge advantage over the Native Americans and Africans, there really wasn't much going on in Australia, etc. If England was able to conquer all of Europe..that would be a different story. The Romans on the other hand had to fight Carthage, Greece, Celts, Persia, Germans, etc. And it was all done with swords and and shields.

  • @stears555 he wrote ''in the history of ancient times'' not modern times

  • @stears555 England is strongh only because its an islande, it had the possibility to build all his power in his navy, to conquer far territories far of the stronghest military powers of europe !

  • @54nomore

Rome fell due to its own political strife and cultural vice. Christianity does not teach of going unreasonably rogue and causing disunity within the Empire.

Also, you should be THANKFUL TO CHRISTIAN MONKS who saved whatever they could of the knowledge of the Romans which they wrote down again and again BY HAND and not how you type it nowadays.

  • @54nomore The Roman Republic died well before Christianity you fool. The Roman Empire eventually became Christian and fought against the Pagan Germanics. The Romans were the ones who spread Christianity throughout Europe.

  • @nj devil 281 There is no need for name calling. You are right when you mentioned the fall of the Republic came before the rise of Christianity. But Christianity was instrumental in the fall of the Empire, and later the great city of Rome will house the center of all Christianity the Roman Catholic Church and the Papacy aka.. Saint Peters Basilica and square.

  • @54nomore War against Germania - and the lost - And later on the nvasion of the Germanic tribesc. Thats was actually the reason for the rising of Rome =)

  • One must hand it to the Europeans. The English, the French, the Germans, the Italians, the Spaniards all of them badass. Truly great warriors.

  • CIVIS ROMANUS SUM - VIVAT GINTA LATINA!

  • cool video

  • The victory at Alesia was brilliant. Its been said that when Caesar saw his Legions faltering and in danger of routing, he donned his purple cloak and got on his horse, (surrounded by his personal guards) , and charged into the fray which renewed the fighting spirit of his men to claim victory over the Gauls and Vercingetorix. Glorious. (Saluto Romano)

  • I'm offended by the use of 'BC' and 'AD' in this video. You self-righteous Christian assholes.

Just kidding. xD But isn't it sad that there are people that actually could be so offended by those abbreviations that we've come to replace them with 'BCE' and 'CE' (before common era, common era)?

  • @kirby28645 this is BC and AD is common use term in today world, after all one way or another, all planet adopted counting of time by this terminology, Christ is only a symbol of that :)

  • @CroPETROforever I actually agree! I still use these terms in college, but my professors (and fellow students) hate it for reasons I stated above. Seriously, people need to grow up. They're only TERMS for specific TIME PERIODS, not meant to insinuate the superiority of one religion over another. :P

  • @kirby28645 Ofcourse... in my college we can say BC or AD anytime...it's even prefered that way :D tell your fellow students that they should be more open minded and less conservative, because by saying to you something about this, they are becoming the very thing they hate about medieval christianity :)

  • @kirby28645 It is because our people and culture is under attack by Cultural Marxists who want to tear us apart and hate our history and success.

  • @kirby28645,Look I'm not religious either but the BC and AD was never a big deal with me because I'm used to it.

  • @98bigbutt Professor Leonard? I didn't think you'd take the 'big butt' joke seriously, lol (nah, j/k, you're not my professor).

Interestingly enough, I found out that they use AD and BC in Taiwan. Fun tidbit of trivia to take home with ya. :D

  • @kirby28645.Look pal I told you I'm not religious but I just don't make a big deal out of that.

  • @kirby28645 BCE and CE are still christian abbreviations lool

  • @serbin16m We use it since we have to link to the world, we can't use some new or old calender in that way, but we try to strike the balance, Assume a human called jesus born that day and affect the world in great extent.

  • Ave, Caeser, morituri te salutant. (Ave Cesare coloro che stanno per morire ti salutano) SPQR

  • All civilized countries on Earth are based on Roman Law. That makes us all Romans. If we used sharia law we would have been muslims, for example. Moreover, the alphabet we use is Latin.

  • @Anser30

Well, muslims are not an ethnicity. Their a religious identity. I wouldn't say we would be muslim we would be arabs.

Latin was what originated from the Greeks which was inspired by the Persian Empire. Also Persia at the time was not muslim.

but you are right. The majority of the laws we use are Roman based, but according to the founding founders many of what we see like religious freedom and taxation was inspired by Cyrus the Great (Persian) that passed to Greek and then to Rome. :)

  • @Anser30

Oh sorry I made a mistake,

Latin originated from the Romans but they didn't invent it they changed it from the former Greek letters, which was also originating from the original Persian language.

But I do agree with you. While from Persia, to Greek, to Roman, the Roman system as a whole is what we majorly base our linguistics on.

  • @fnjanitor no no, Greek took base for their alphabet from Phoenicians and made it for greek language a greek letters, which evolved from as I've said, Phoenicians not Persians. Romans perfected it, that is a "secret" about Romans, everything they would adopted from someone else they would make 5 times better, in some way they were a prototype of everything in ancient world.
