  • Cut ur nails that's like nasty as hell :/ -_-

  • dude cut your nails. thats gross.. :x

  • is it att and if so i cant find it on there webbiesite

  • This video is really COOL! Thanks man!!!

I was told that the i9000 can NOT work on 3G network here in the U.S.A.

Is that true? what other features will not work here?

  • i hope my parents get me dis pone aftr or b4 we move

  • I have this phone on ATT and can vouch that it gets greater than 3g speeds on ATT. In the southern california area, depending on area, it will get EDGE, 3G and HSDPA(enhanced 3G) speeds.

  • @IThinkNowListenUp Could you show me where to get an unlocked version of this phone to work on At&t's 3G network? I'm very interested. I thought you needed the UMTS850Mhz Band to get 3G in which I don't think this phone has.

  • Hi, do you have any suggestion to unlock my Samsung I9000 Galaxy S?

Need urgently, anyone can help me plz?

  • i recently bought this phone but i am unable to connect to the internet via 3G, do you know what the problem could be?

  • I got it today and im loving it.. just one question, how do you turn off/on the 3g or does it turn off when the wi-fi is on? cheers

  • @creed90 3g turns off when wifi is on and connected.

  • @creed90 you can get a widget fro the marketplace called 'APN' which puts a widget on a homescreen that allows you to turn the 3G on and off at will

  • this galaxy s is for Europe and Asian version, meaning it's 3g banding only works on T Mobile USA, if you us it on AT&T, edge will only work

  • @hanspotato22 actually my brother what you said its reversed. It will get edge on tmobile and 3g on att. That is if we are talking about the unlocked european galaxy s

  • the title of this page is a spoof!!!! samsung galaxy s does not work with 3g it needs 850/1900 band, galaxy s has only 1900 band.

    850 for upload

1900 for download so it wont work

    this guy is an idiot

  • @hanspotato22 so what connectivity are we exactly seeing in the video. we are seeing 2.5 down and i think 1.5 up speeds.

  • @hanspotato22 i cant get 3g on my galaxy s how do you get it to work my wi fi is off and nothing hapend is not going automatykly on 3g i do not known whay please help me thenks

  • @CHLOPCZY what carrier are you on? Also when you open the browser or whatever internet application do u see a H on top or E.

  • comes out July 18 2010....

  • If you have a $15 non-smartphone unlimited data plan, will ATT automatically move you to the $25 smartphone 2GB data plan once they detect the IMEI of this phone? When you guys log into your ATT account, what phone doe it say they detect? Also, for those using this phone in Los Angeles and Orange County, are you getting 3g speeds? Anyone know the bands being used by ATT in Orange County in Los Angeles - 850,900, 2100?

  • @dinged2000 it detects my old dumb phone and i am still on the att media net for $15. Unlimited data on att for 15 :D

Check here for your detailed location ... the bands u need for att 3g are either 1900 or 850. The galaxy s has the 1900.

    This map shows ... gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_us.shtml

  • @krakheadmon Thanks for the info. What are your speedtest net results and in what city are you located? I'm trying to get an idea if you need both 850,1900 or if 1900 alone is good enough 3g speed for my area( or a city with similar infrastructure).

  • @dinged2000 the Galaxy S (i9000) Only supports one 3g band for att ... 1900. With one band alone you are able to get hsdpa on att if you are in the area.

I didnt look at my video ... but when i was making it from what i remembered i got 2.4 down and 1.7 up i think

  • I cant get 3g on my galaxy s how do you get it to work???

  • @Chukwu67 Just popped my sim card in and it automatically did it. Just make sure your wifi is off ....

  • @krakheadmon i cant get 3g on my galaxy s how do you get it to work my wi fi is off and nothing hapend is not going automatykly on 3g i do not whay please help me thenks

  • ur thumb nails?? wtf.

  • If you have a "$15 non-smartphone unlimited data plan", will ATT automatically move you to the "$25 smartphone 2GB data plan" once they detect the IMEI of this phone? When you guys log into your ATT account, what phone doe it say they detect? Also, for those using this phone in Los Angeles and Orange County, are you getting 3g speeds? Anyone know the bands being used by ATT in Orange County in Los Angeles - 850,900, 2100?

  • Does this have a front facing camera?

  • @prabuvz yes

  • Does anyone know if ATT will automatically move you to the "smartphone data plan" with this phone? I know there are some phones, such as the Nexus One, where ATT will automatically move you from the $15 unlimited plan to the more expensive $25 2GB limit smartphone plan. When you guys log into ATT, does it detect your Samsung or does it say "unknown" device? Also, anyone know the dominant 3G band for Los Angeles and Orange County - 850, 1900, 2100?

  • do you get 3g connections on it? because i just got it and i put my att sim card in, i can text and call but i cant use the net the 3g doesnt turn on.

    plz help

  • @theking134 I get 3g/hsdpa in my area ... i have the 1900 band in my area.

  • For those of you in the US, how long did it take for you to get your phone from the Clove website? I just placed my order.

  • @VJKotts overnight when i selected fedex.

  • @krakheadmon Did you complete FCC Form 740 for US Customs?

Could you set the volume , change music , while listening via your bluetooth headset ( I actually Got the HBH DS970 ).

  • @DrymR @DrymR I can install the launcher, but only thing that dont work is the samsung widgets. Everything else works fine ... vertical apps menu(in 3d also) homescreens etc

Yes you can use the bt headsets to adjust volume playback etc.

  • @krakheadmon Thanks !!! you're the MAN !

What is it's score on the Quadrant Benchmark APP ? ( be sure to wipe all apps before running it )

  • can you please check the amount of ram on this? there are conflicting reports of 256 and 512 mb ram

  • @itssoham this i will have to check in more.

  • @itssoham It's 512 :) The version now on sale has got 512 mbs of RAM.

  • haha he said "capacitive" but im pretty sure its samsung captivate

  • @krakheadmon Does clove mobile ship world wide????

how much did it cost you in USD???

    plz reply

  • @jackfrost3821 They do ship worldwide as far as I know. The phone itself was 570. Shipping varies.

  • @thachillest1 thanx

  • Good video. I should be getting my Galaxy S tomorrow, also from Clove. I owned the Omnia 2 last year and it also only had the 1900 band and I got 3g fine as well. 1900 is still very prevalent on the east coast from what I've seen of maps.

I'm also used to the plastic build (Omnia 2 was the same way). Lighter is better, I think. Especially when it comes to larger devices.

  • Thumbnail is really freaking me out...

  • @SkulkerM so true, very distracting !

  • @SkulkerM haha, i was thinking to myself " cut that thing sheesh!" lol

  • you can order a 8GB Galaxy with a free 8GB MicroSD from Clove website in the UK (google it)

    It's £401 (shipped) .. around $590

  • @Brik182 yep, clove is my preferred supplier of my European phones. Cheap reliable and fast ...

  • The heavier the device, the more damage it will do due to gravity.

    Force = Mass x Acceleration.

Acceleration is constant, if you increase mass ( weight), you will increase force by that much.

So having a lighter device is actually better to protect your investment. Besides, its easier and cheaper to replace a plastic covered back than a heavy metal covered back. We all know that people will scratch the crap out of their phones any how.

  • @ConceptVBS you are right ... thinking back now with my x1, just having it in my pocket with nothing in it after a while the paint on the back cover began to fade.

  • Thank you. I think AT&T 1900 bands are prevelant enough in major cities.

May I ask, which site did you order from?

  • @VJKotts clove.co.uk

  • No problems at all setting it up, I just popped in the sim card and it detected it automatically.

One thing I should mention, maybe it was just me but in options phone voicemail selecting google voice as your primary vmail provider gave me an error.

What I had to do was go into google voice online and send myself the text message from settings for my mobile.

  • @krakheadmon yeah...where did u get it from? Can you test 3g with a tmobile sim? Maybe one of your friends uses tmobile?

  • @IyareOni No tmobile sim, either way I will get Edge 100% sure on it ... no 3g

  • Hey, I see your using the internaional version on AT&T's 1900 bands. Did you have any problems setting up the phone at all? If you have experience with other AT&T phones, do you feel that the lack of 850 bands is slowing or hindering your 3G connection speeds or coverage? I am planning to get the international one because I prefer this design.
