  • A very sad truth. And it affects especially the young men, who cannot make the distinction between real life and porn which leads to endless turmoil in sexual/emotional relationships. I recently learned a similar story by a girlfriend...What should be underlined is that porn addiction is no different than any other addiction(drug, alcohol, etc), and that it stands for a seriously(and sometimes irreversibly) aggravated mental condition which needs active professional or even medical help.

  • I'm fucked...not only have I have been watching the nastayest porn for years, but I've also spent most of those years masturbating in the prone position, my penis is dead unless I'm in front of a computer screen...also I think I have HOCD.....

  • @CopyriteInfringement I had the same problem with the prone position a long time ago. I couldnt get hard at all in front of a woman and I couldnt get off with just my hand. All you have to do is ween yourself off whatever it is you rub up against and get off with your hand. It took me a week to do it. After that, just stop watching porn, cut down or cut out masturbation and you're problerm will soon be a thing of the past.

  • I watched the 6 parts series , and now I'm watching this one , and the site yourbrainonporn I have an acount now and I'm on my way to recover and to be normal again in real sexual relations because I have some damages because of porn

I just wanna thank u Mr. Gary !!! , I can't describe how grateful I feel this clarity of the whole thing has simply changed me ! , it was a magic moment when I entered the site by chance and found my painful problem described in details with the solutions

  • yeah im 20 years old have been watchin porn heavily since 15 now i cant seem to get it up n when i do wont stay up what should i do ??? n how log will it take to recover or will i even recover

  • @unawnsered Visit yourbrainonporn and start with "ED & Porn" tab, then the "Rebooting tab", and also "Tools for Change" tab, read the "Rebooting accounts".

It's all there. Of course you can recover, nothing's broken, only inhibited.

  • DAMN YOU BOBBY LEE! lol

  • This is probably one of the most important videos on youtube. I relate to everything Gary is saying....no more porn for me, never again.

BTW, this video did not help me discover the problem, just helped me confirm my suspicion. Thanks Gary.

  • Thumbs up if after watching this you watched one of the "sex" videos on the right.

  • It doesn't help if we have "Sasha Grey talks about the porn industry" on related videos...

  • can u please answer my questions

wat is the worst that could happen to me if i watched porn for 2 months? i think i am over thinking everything An second after i quite watching porn 2 weeks ago i get depressed by the littlest things is this normal??? for example when i read the article on your website about beeing atracted to gay porn.... i got depressed when i didnt even watch gay porn

  • @ilikecod2 Internet porn isn't like a drug, or anything else. All analogies fail when trying to compare porn use with any other potential addictive substance or media. Viewing a disturbing clip at a vulnerable age can make a lasting impression. I'm not trying to be an alarmist, but unlike video games, porn is the real deal, and unlike alcohol, it leaves a memory. No one knows what psychological effects Internet porn use has on young malleable brains.

  • @BodyWisdomVideos so wat should i do now???

  • @ilikecod2 Do about what?

  • @BodyWisdomVideos u said this could make a lasting impression on your brain, so how do i treat that??

  • @ilikecod2 My point is that using porn cannot be compared to gambling, eating junk food, or using addictive drugs. It's unique. If you are concerned, simply stop using porn. Put your attention on real females (if you are staright). Real life is the antidote or treatment for the artificial.

  • @BodyWisdomVideos thanks

  • could there be any problem with me if i watched porn for 2 months. i get errections but i am way to young to check if i could get it with real women by having sex. i am 15.

  • @1596bin I doubt it. Why are you worried?

  • I know that if you have ED you develop anxiety. But that anxiety may be much more complex then it appears. Maybe there is still an element of neurosis in men's sexuality, but maybe the character of that neurosis changed? Instead of moralistic neurosis (superego saying: you mustn't masturbate nor have sex) we have the exact reverse of it, that is hedonistic neurosis (you must feel pleasure, you must be like pornstar). Anyhow your presentation is excellent and I appreciate it!

  • Concerning the psychological and organic causes of ED on minute 11:59 (90% of ed now organic, 10% psychological). First of all: where can one find those data? They seem to be misleading, after all porn related ed is not only organic, it might well be psychological. For example it might be related to strong conscious pressure to have an erection provoked by porn, and that pressure may be a factor which blocks sexual sensitivity which is mostly spontaneous.

  • @plumplum574 Source: "The Rise of Viagra: How the Little Blue Pill Changed Sex in America". It's common knowledge to those who treat ED. Do a PubMed search. Men who develop Porn-induced ED often then develop anxiety. Makes sense as they can no longer get an erection. However, it's primarily physical because: 1) have ED when masturbating without porn, 2) all have withdrawal symptoms 3) have similar time frames for healing, 4) all heal by abstaining. Visit YBOP to really get it.

  • I watch porn since 13 years old I'm now 26.

I have no problems getting hard but sometimes I lost erection even without using condoms, does this mean I have ED?

I can live without porn but do I have to stop masturbation too?

  • @SundiataOfMali ED is a catch-all term as you know. What's important is whether brain changes are the cause of losing your erection. The only sure way to know is to eliminate porn and masturbation for a while. If withdrawal symptoms and decline in libido occur within a week or two, you know your brain was altered.

  • @BodyWisdomVideos Ok, thanks

  • thanks a lot

  • (continiued) but then suddenly i got scared again. so yesterday i asked u and you said i might have porn-induced ED or anxiety induced ED. now i am really scared. i am 15, and not planning to have sex until i am 21 or older. is it.....

A my brain needs to relax

B this is not cure-able or

C its just that i am stressing out

  • i started watching porn and masterbating around september 4th, i did it for 2 weeks. then i saw this vid and got scared. but you told me that i needed my mind to relax. so after that i tried not to watch porn, nut could not stop (watched every 2 days.). but then i hevent did any thing for the last week, i got a lot of spowntanious bonners.

  • @1596bin Relax. From what we have seen it takes years to develop impotence/ED. I'm not usre why you think you have ED? For others reading, one can develop desensitization and addiction long before chronic ED manifests. Signs/symptoms that precede ED include: need for more extreme porn; need to fantasize during sex; losing erection during sex; delayed ejaculation; porn more exciting than sex.

  • i get spontanious boners is it possible that i have this problem

  • @1596bin I can't say. Here's a simple comparison test

    1. Masturbate to your favorite porn.

    2. Try to masturbate using no porn and no fantasy - only sensations. Same speed and pressure as you would during intercourse.

Compare one and two. If you have a strong erection on #1, but problems on #2, then you have porn-induced ED. If #2 is strong and solid, but you have trouble with a real partner, then you may have anxiety induced ED

  • ONE LAST THING: I barely discovered this, I have gone 2 days without masturbation and porn, and I've had no cravings to watch porn, although dirty things pop into my mind out of nowhere, and i caught myself about to touch my penis, but stopped before I did, Guess it became a habit. I will continue to stay away from masturbation and Porn till i've recovered, and so i can focus on doing the "real-deal" with my girlfriend them masturbating to porn.

  • I would masturbate since i was about 8 or 9 on a daily basis till now (almost 16) And used porn daily as well since i was 11 to masturbate. It defiantly caught up to me, which I explained in my previous comment but I have a question! If I still intimately kiss and touch my partner, and I get aroused, will it slow down the process of recovery? Will I recover faster if I also stop kissing and touching and doing arousing stuff with my partner so i won't get aroused? Thank you!

  • @DJNpimp Continue to kiss, touch and get aroused - it is the best therapy for rewiring your brain to the real deal. Orgasms and trying to force erections (pills, fantasy, etc.) lengthen the rebooting process.

  • @BodyWisdomVideos Thanks a lot. What if she wants to masturbate me, not to the point of orgasm, but just for a while, will that slow down the rewiring process? This will be my last question.

  • @DJNpimp Nearly every guy says to avoid oral, and especially masturbation. Masturbation mimics what you did to get into this situation, and she will do it fast and hard because you will need it fast and hard. Some try gentle intercourse that keeps you far away from the edge. Ultimately, you want your brain to respond to intercourse. The ones that heal the fastest and with fewest cravings avoid trying to work the penis.

  • Dear @BodyWisdomVideos

I saw all your videos, because I'm 15 and thought I had ED when me and my girlfriend where going to have sex for the first time. People said it was performance anxiety, but It wasn't since I wasn't nervous nor had expectations upon myself. When we were going to do it, My erection went away! I dug deeper and found yourbrainonporn and realized it was due to my porn use since i was maybe 11 and excessive masterbation

  • WE NEED MORE PORN!!! We need to export it too! We need to reach out to to Africa and Asia and deliver as much porn as possible!

You think I'm kidding? OVERPOPULATION is the problem nobody's talking about, and porn could be the answer we've been looking for. No one get's killed, no laws need to be passed for limiting the number of children a couple can have, no one gets hurt, no rights get violated...

Earth masturbating it's way into a brighter future.

  • @dareartes ... So, how often you eat shit?

  • @JesterMclovin Beg your pardon?

  • i'm in my 20s. whenever i see female bodies with explicit garments, i get aroused (normal right?). but when i see them bare naked, i totally do not feel any sexual arousal. in fact, if they were to strip naked infront of me, my erection will die. do i have ED or am i just weird? :(

  • has anybody been cured from this?

  • @Thehockeysaviour Most definitely. Visit yourbrainonporn, click on Porn FAQ's. The first FAQ is - "Is my erectile dysfunction (ED) related to my porn use?" It contains many links, including several pages of stories of men who have recovered, and a link to longer stories of rebooting accounts.

  • I have stopped completely, but from the people that you have heard. How long does it take to recover? I just turned 20 and I want to have a successful sex life.

  • @Beakyboo92 Big question, little space. Go to yourbrainonporn - Under the FAQ tab, the first question is all about porn-induced ED. It has several more links that explain most everything about porn-induced ED, and 8 links with many acounts of guys who recovered their erectile health. Younger guys recover quicker. Other factors include severity of addiction, how early you started, how consistent one is with recovery. Everyone recovers if they are consistent.

  • @Soviet1000 If the enlargement of the testicle is a recent event, go see a doctor ASAP.

  • Comment removed

  • @Soviet1000 its not normal at any age to have 3 testicles.

  • @chingisxani It's clear that you did not watch the series. Nowhere does it say masturbation is wrong, or that porn is evil. This video is for those men who are experiencing porn-induced ED. It contains no social commentary. What is not normal is chronic ED before the age of 30. If it happens to you, come back and watch the whole series.

  • @chingisxani Yes for a single guy.. or a pervert. .Watching porn damages marriages and relationships, this is fact and can be proven by statistics. As I myself have had 2 failed marriages as a result of a porn addiction. Maybe one day you will agree with me when you have lost. Porn reduces women to mere sex objects and removes intimacy so important in a relationship. Anytime you tell a woman you love her completely, but have to look at porn.. Your are lying to her and double minded.

  • the old wiskey dick hey

  • I am blown away by this info and your site. I am also VERY happy to detect ABSOLUTELY NO "religion smell" from your site. Please keep up the good work and spreading the truth about this.

DAILY PORN ORGASMS MIGHT NOT BE A FREEBIE, GUYS. Be suspicious!

  • i wish the volume of this video wasnt so quiet, have my volume turned up on full and still cant hear it :/

  • If anyone prefers porn over real sex then he got serious problems

  • "Nobody wants to study porn."

Sure people want to study it, but never for science if they do they never seem to get work done. :P

  • thank you for putting this and like videos on here

  • 22yrs old and had a 9 in my bed givin me head and still couldn't get up. This video was correct in everything in my case.

  • @jjohnstonr that was me on saturday bud, refuse to ever watch any again fml

  • @shivom90 right!? N the girl ALWAYS thinks its her lol

  • I can't stop watching porn and masturbating. If I don't do it for one day even i start shaking and I have way too much energy. I dont know what to do. I am completely addicted to the point where masturbating to porn has become who I am. help!

  • @MrAusty Many people were in the same situation as you are, and recoverd. Go to the website - yourbrainonporndotcom - there are lots of resources there under "tools for change". Under the "support" link you will links to resources at other websites, and forums, including the reuniting forum. Under "FAQs" will be answers to all your questions, and all have links.

  • @MrAusty I know how you can b free from this addiction. If u're still interested, plz do lemme know.

  • @caroleabumoussa Yes I am interested!

  • @MrAusty I am speaking from personal experience, so plz don't overlook. Your answer is Jesus. It will take time & you might fail several times before you can b free, but you *will* be free.. & you *will* know you are loved & accepted every step of the way.

Check out Shelley Lubben's channel on YouTube (user/slubben). She's an ex-porn star & she tells about all her addictions & how she got free. Her website thepinkcross . org has a lot of resources about this. Also check out sexaddict . com

  • @caroleabumoussa btw, I'm 19. I was addicted till last year. In January 2010 I discovered that it really was an addiction & wanted to be free. In March 2010 I followed the advice of a loved one & told my best friend. In April 2010, I came free. I've gone back a few times since, but every time I did, I knew I was still loved & accepted by my friends & Jesus, which encouraged me to move on & not look back.

Now I am free. I have not masturbated in 6 or 7 months!

Hope this helps u b free too!

  • @caroleabumoussa I am not sure if my answer is Jesus. But I am learning to forgive myself and move on from this terrible addiction. It has been 21 days now without watching any porn of any kind. There are certainly many benefits I have gained, but withdrawal has been kicking in harshly. yourbrainonporn is a great website and has helped me tremendously. I have learned a lot on this journey.

  • @23house23 This book is one of the sources: "The rise of Viagra: how the little blue pill changed sex in America"

  • Let me see if I have this straight:

If you watch to much porn, not only will you loose your ability to perform in bed, but eventually you will need more and more extreme porn to masturbate, and eventually you won`t even be able to get an erection while watching porn.

Is this what the video is getting at?

  • @pointman127 Correct. Watch this, and Your Brain On Porn series, to get a deeper understanding. Porn-induced ED is a rapidly "growing" problem. Copulatory ED, where you cannot get an erection with a real-life partner, usually takes awhile to develop. It amazes me that many men under 35 believe it's normal to NEED porn to masturbate. If someone needs porn to masturbate, then their brain has been altered.

  • @BodyWisdomVideos Man I needed this man Im not sure if its gonna be effective but this is exsactly my problem whenever I watch a porn I'm rock hard but when it's time to get with a real girl I can't get an Erection. I first blamed it on the attraction of the girl, then I blamed it on me being new 2 sex cause i was only 23 at da time. Then it became obvious that something was wrong because even when I was around women I knew they were sexy but couldnt get an erection.I hope this cures me in time.

  • This actually makes a whole lot of sense if you actually take the time to watch and listen to it. I think some people are watching 2 seconds of it and then looking for porn again.

  • I love all these comments by these uneducated fools who are obvious porn addicts who are in denial and scared. So they want to try to deny the information as if they are qualified or educated on the subject.

  • @Damien32 That's almost like saying using a little cocaine is ok as long as you don't overdo it. It's hard to use something "sparingly" that is as addictive as porn.

  • @nicklazzarinirocks I wasn't going to reply but here goes, I agree 100% with everything in this video and I myself have stopped watching porn, however all I'm saying is there are many men who had watched porn occasionally in the past and still were able to perform in relationships but the frequent and continued use is what leads to ED everyone that looked at a couple vids is not going to continue, that varies from person to person. However I do agree with the ill effects of porn.

  • lol

  • Over-stimulation is a problem! To be sexually jaded is a problem and this can be caused by porn. Its a bit like someone who witnesses atrocity during wars. To be desensitised to porn or gruesome atrocity IS a problem.

    Think about it folks.

  • ...I'm going to take a wild guess and assume this channel is in some way linked to some kind of religious group. Anyone who thinks that porn is over-stimulation mustn't of gotten laid IRL at any point. The only time men make themselves impotent through masturbation is when it is constant and allows no recovery period. This video is alarmist and is making it look as if "back door sluts 9" is making men's penises break.

  • @pamew Your guess is completely wrong. We are not associated with any religious anything. We don't want to ban porn, and we don't care what anyone does with their genitals. It's about helping people in need, that is all.

You are also wrong concerning men, Internet porn and ED. We made this video because so many young men are developing ED from overstimulating their brains with porn, and there are few good sources of info on how this occurs. And how to reverse it.

  • @pamew "...I'm going to take a wild guess and assume this channel is in some way linked to some kind of religious group."

This is an ad hominem argument. It's a logical fallacy because the channel's opinion on the existence of gods is irrelevant. If a Scientologist said 2 + 2 = 4, that doesn't mean 2 + 2 = 679.

Could you at least wait until after you've seen the whole series? It's called "Part 1", for fuck's sake. For a non-religious person, you have the closed-mindedness of a fundamentalist.

  • "This is an ad hominem argument."

It would be if I was stating it as as a concrete assertion , however, what with the fact I was making a facetious reference to the fact that these kind of hysteria mongering PSA's, for want of a better term, are usually the product of religious support groups, it doesn't qualify for evaluation as an argument. As to "closed mindedness", I've seen this assertion about porn and sexual health thrown around before, it's hardly a new thing.

  • @pamew "I was making a facetious reference to the fact that these [videos] are usually the product of religious support groups"

    But what was the point?

"I've seen this assertion [...] thrown around before"

So if a religious person has heard the assertion that there is no evidence for gods "thrown around before", s/he doesn't need to read or see anything else arguing that assertion because s/he's heard the argument before? If that's your thought process, why click the video at all?

  • "So if a religious person has heard the assertion that there is no evidence for gods "thrown around before", s/he doesn't need to read or see anything else arguing that assertion"

Nice strawman argument. In the event I see some actual credible evidence, My mind will change. This video however, is just the same testimony and total lack of verifiable data that I've seen before. I still watched it all the way through, ever. continued)

  • ii) "But what was the point?"

Seriously? you're asking someone who is openly stating that they're being facetious what the "point" is?

"so why click the video at all".

Because I was hoping to see something conclusive, or at least more convincing than porn/impotence claims I've seen before. That's kind of the point of being a sceptic, you keep checking. In fact, you pointed this out yourself, so you already had your answer. Now, are you done trying to pick a fight or is there more?

  • @pamew No one is willing to research the effects of porn. Keep in mind the obvious, all phenomena exist, whether stiudied or not. The truth is, many young men are acquiring ED from overuse of porn. If one checks out the many porn recovery forums, health care websites, and testomonials from former users, it's is clear that porn can cause ED. When the men stop porn, their libido and erections return. That's enough proof for them. Science needs to catch up with reality, as is always the case.

  • @BodyWisdomVideos Finally, New research confirms porn-induced ED.

Scientists: Too Much Internet Porn May Cause Impotence

    February 25, 2011 | NewsCore

Researchers said Thursday that young men who indulge in "excessive consumption" of Internet porn gradually become immune to explicit images, the ANSA news agency reported.

Over time, this can lead to a loss of libido, impotence and a notion of sex that is totally divorced from real-life relations. From a survey of 28,000 Italian men.

  • @pamew

And also read a book called "The Brain that Changes Itself", written by Norman Doige MD.

It says the same thing, and is very authoritative.

  • lol epic fail. Everybodys penis has a refractory period. Depends on the individual.

  • @potyunbe Refractory period has nothing at all to do with this. This is not really about masturbation. I suggest you watch Your Brain on Porn: Porn Addiction, to understand the mechanisms at work. The ED is caused by addiction mechanisms occuring in the reward circuitry of the brain. The brain becomes desensitized to normal stimulation, due to excessive porn use.
