This must be one of the earliest film clips ever! I am very interested in the Native American culture, recently I had the start of an idea for a Native American film. It's about an English girl from now who is visiting America on a college trip and she is somehow transported back in time before America had been discovered by Europeans. She meets a tribe, befriends them, learns the language and gives them a warning that her ancestors will come and that they have to escape.
That is an amazing idea! I love Native American culture! and Native American men ;D lol! but sadly there are very very VERY few native Americans here in the UK actually I don't even think there are any at all! The only native Americans I have ever seen over here where 2 or 3 that had a small stand in the middle the town selling genuine Native American items such as dream catchers etc.. but I think they were just selling merchandise and then going back to America I'm not sure.

i guess thats why i always loved living in oklahoma and being american indian. if ya ever get a chance come to oklahoma and see just how beautifull it really is. the people are great also. and so is the football teams. also go down on the south canadian river and arrow head hunt down around atwood oklahoma there you will find a bunch of them and spear heads left over from years ago. and visit during our choctaw heritage days in september. we have our pow wow then. godbless everybody.

This must be one of the earliest film clips ever! I am very interested in the Native American culture, recently I had the start of an idea for a Native American film. It's about an English girl from now who is visiting America on a college trip and she is somehow transported back in time before America had been discovered by Europeans. She meets a tribe, befriends them, learns the language and gives them a warning that her ancestors will come and that they have to escape.

I love Native American culture! and Native American men ;D lol! but sadly there are very very VERY few native Americans here in the UK actually I don't even think there are any at all! The only native Americans I have ever seen over here where 2 or 3 that had a small stand in the middle the town selling genuine Native American items such as dream catchers etc.. but I think they were just selling merchandise and then going back to America I'm not sure.

I just wish that there was a film directer who has connections with the Native American culture who would take this idea on board and turn it into a movie.

The movement of the people is still going on from Asia, just think of India's and China's population.

How can you say you own land when you're only hear for 80 years. Yeah the native people would never sell out there way of worship back in the day. The Ghost dance is very old and was a way to worship they worshiped one God and had a structure of community and worship always came first. And they say we were hethens we knew of Jesus Christ and his teachings before any foreigners tried to re-invent him to us. You need to brush up on your American history. They weren't criminals running away from the law. They did come in peace.
They also weren't invaders. There are estimates that there was 1 million Native Americans in the US, this was the very first permanent English Colony, with 1000 people, including many women and children. Who were they going to invade? There was enough room for everyone.

There wasn't even 150 million in all the Americas, let alone the US, from where most of them didn't live. And now there are 300 million in the US alone, so they were not overcrowded.
