The reason your product was not clear is because your mash was weak and your pot was pukeing you need a thumper to catch it befor it gets in your drink if your going to make make it right man
Looks like a cool set up but it needs some work like you need a bigger cooker and you need a thumper to help get a better product I did not see a orvice to choke it back to keep it steam to the head of the worm and as for the firewater you have to cut back on the corn. And add other grain cut it off at 210 steep you corn to make malt with it will help the over all taste
@burntvalve86 afaik, laws against home distilling are because it can introduce/increase concentration of toxins in the drink if not produced correctly. If you then start giving it out to people they can end up in hospital. One example would be applejack, which traditionally was made by freeze distilling but which (because it used apples) could introduce methanol and another toxin I can't remember off hand (the alcohol you want is ethanol)

@1qaz2wsx3edc820 The easiest bending copper is the smaller 1/4" dia stuff. The bigger is just too damn hard to curve into a decent small dia like 3-4" without kinking. Even adding heat doesn't help. Use a 'mandrel', make one out of whatever diameter pipe gives the best diameter for your column. I bend 1/4" around a 2" pipe very slowly and carefully. Some can fill them with plaster sand (very fine stuff) and pinch the ends then wrap. Then cut the tube and remove the sand. Good luck on that job.
@1qaz2wsx3edc820 theres usually a bend angle to all metal tubing.. your's might be 1/2" to even 1" on a solid rod. So heat up your tubing on the stove a bit or use a torch while wrapping it, pinch off one end to lock it down and start wrapping it around a solid rod all the while working your torch or propane unit on it "from Lowe's" or w/e. That's why when you buy em they always have both ends pinched off at the end. Good luck and great video btw.

@1qaz2wsx3edc820 your question was awhile ago, but here's an answer anyway. take fine sand and fill your copper with it and bend it around something if you don't have a pipe bender. just coil it around a rolling pin or some nonsense, the sand will stop it from kinking if you pack it in.

@ResistIslamToday no it dont give off any smell if u have it in a bucket when u open it the best way i can explain the smell is a recycle station ha ha ha its not really that bad and when u cook it up it real dont smell to much like i said it smells like a bunch of old cans r chillin on the side of ur house lol have fun man be safe bro ....
@ResistIslamToday it only gives off a strong odor if you are making a very large batch. If u plan to make a large batch (220 gallon) u can smell it a good distance away especially if u make it outside
@evans27364 do you know if the table top stills are any good for moonshining? ive heard mostly good things about those set ups, reason why im asking about the smell is i live in a area where meth is a big problem (oklahoma)
@ResistIslamToday Table top stills are ok to start out, but don't yeild much. I also live in Okiehoma. What I used is a 30qt Stainless Steel turkey fryer. And then used Project Buttercup here on Youtube to build my reflux still. My first run didnt turn out well as it wouldn't cool it fast enough to condense thus I 90'd off and made a worm... works great. I wouldn't worry about smell to much. I ferment mine in a 6 gallon bucket and it smells like stale beer.
if u let it sit for a week or two u will get at least a half gallon of fire water it dont take much to get u drunk me and my friends take half shots all night by the end of the night we can bairly walk but its a great drunk its nuthing like the store stuff good luck man if u have any questions feel free to ask ... good luck man
yes it is a little cloudy i was not watch it it got up to 200 degrees too high it needs to be at 185 to 195 to get clear fire water ,, and you only put the liquid from your mash not the corn only the liquid ir you put corn in it it will turn into a big mushy corn bread and thats not what your shooting for , you need ice in the buckit you have the coil in so the alchole steam turns back into liquide and there you go moon shine done right ,, any questions pleas ask ,,,

On the bending copper tubing, you have to bend it around a plug the size you want the coil minus the DI of the coil if your trying to be precise.
