the only reason theyre making horror films PG-13 is so that they can draw in a bunch of teenagers who will bring all their friends. its who theyre marketing too now, cause its where theyre getting the most money from.
i love old anchor bay, but they suck now. they should definately re-release some of their OOP films instead of re-releasing evil dead, halloween, and hellraiser a billion times.

Man you gotta give Anchor bay a little credit though. Shit if it wasn't for anchor bay. Alot of classic films like phantasm probably wouldn't have seen the light of day on dvd. So i give them some credit. And if you honestly think about it...Everything will someday be mainstream. With the constant flood of remakes these day...every movie just like my bloody valentine will be remade. Hence making the original popular. I like some remakes. So i can't hate on them all !
Some of the Anchor Bay shit is awesome though. Dawn of the Dead ultimate edition, Evil dead, and The Phantasm releases. Although part 2 was MIA. But i can't really say too much bad things about anchor bay. I agree they do milk it for all they can though..All the Evil dead, Halloween and hellraiser releases. That Halloween set is only worth buying if you don't have any of the films. Great Topic!!!
Anchor Bay has had alot of good releases but I am sick of them doing horror movie fans wrong. Don't get me wrong I love the Evil Dead & Dawn of the Dead Ultimate releases and the Phantasm releases but i hate their marketing gimmicks.
I got for $9.99. That is the only reason I bought it from Wal-Mart because it was the cheapest.I also hate re-repackaging movies. But one thing I really hate is movies they have not released on dvd yet and it is getting harder for people to get on vhs. Like I want Rocktober Blood to be officially released on dvd. Howard The Duck was another one but that finally got released on dvd. Well I totally agree with you. Also nice Testament!
Horror movies are not supposed to be PG-13. The MPAA has been raping the movie industry in general. I am also sick of it. The only thing people can do nowadays is do straight to dvd movies because the MPAA is not just raping horror. They are also raping Comedy movies and other movies. Ask Kevin Smith he knows. Also I hate Wal-Mart censoring the unrated movies I want to buy. It is bullshit. I only buy dvd's now from Wal-Mart if it $5.00 or less or it is a new movie like His Name Was Jason which.
