I own one and it is Super quiet, but only when you have the stealth barrel. It is a great gun and it is only bulky when you compare it to speedball guns. IF YOU DONT LIKE REALISTIC GUNS, THEN DONT TRASH TALK SAYING THAT IT IS BULKY!!!!!
I have an sp8 i havent really tried the x7. But i can tell you this gun is amazing in woodsball AND speedball, it has a very light adjustable trigger, extremely accurate. Unlike what many people say, it DOES NOT feel too bulky and thats comming from a small person. Only downside this has compared to the x7 is that it is not supposed to be used with c02.
Did i mention how quite it is? people who are 20 feet away from me on a speedball field complain that they couldnt tell when i was firing at them, lol.
The coiled remote helps the co2 expand before it gets to the marker. The top of the bottle gets ice on it if you're firing fast like that but the liquid or frost doesn't get anywhere near the marker. I've never froze the marker using co2 on remote in nearly 3 years. Air is defiantly much better though.....
hehe both wrong, its australian jelly bean camo. you can't really see the detail cos of the bad resolution but it works really well when leaves are on the floor.
many people will tell you HPI only (definatly better) but I have run the SP8 successfully with no frozen internals for about 2 years using CO2 using a coiled remote hose. So long as you don't go mad with your rate of fire and the CO2 has plenty of time to expand (like in the coiled remote hose) then you shouldn't have problems.
You would with a UK board, but not with a US board which has all the modes. UK board only has semi and ramping as 3 shot burst & full auto technically illegal for us....
u have to install an anti-siphon tube for it if u want to use co2. changing from compressed air to co2 was hard but it was worth it. no spray when u take it off the marker and its so easy, gauge tells how much u have left , change to compressed air
they arent that quiet. Notice the first shot is louder than the rest? This is because that camera has a built in ambient noise filter. It takes it at least 1 shot to kick in.
Granted the long shrouded SP8, is very quiet, and even more than this one. Thats because it has an 18" ported barrel, that is muffled but inner running O-rings that trap the sound coming from the ports in individual air pocks running in a series throughout the long shroud.
What ever dude, Im not arguing with you. I have three of them setting right here with the about 8 other ions, and 4 pistols, I think I know what Im talking about. Im not saying they arent quiet, but this one is presented quieter than they are, since the camera is in fact quieting the ambient surounding noise. This is old tech that I know plenty about.
You need to learn about things like this before commenting Im wrong. Look at my videos. I know what Im talking about,I build markers for a living.
yep its actualy a nicemil sim not just a blow back like the tippmann dont get me rong i love a tippmann i keep 1 around for rain, but ya electronumatic preformance vs electro mechanical.
it doesnt wreck the gun but it freezes it if you shoot too fast because the liquid co2 is shot into the gun. if you get a regulator or an expansion chamber or something, it blocks out the liquid co2.
It can do, but on the other hand I have been running that SP8 on CO2 (& air when available) with a coiled remote hose for over 2 years and have never once froze the gun or blown a seal.....
It has a metal frame and the outer shell is high impact plastic. It doesn't in anyway look or feel plasticy, definate feel of quality to it. The Stock trigger is adjustable but i've never bothered....
you don't freeze the gun with co2 hate to be a know it all but if you shoot to fast the liquid co2 has no time to expand causing the board to have water damage = not good
Anti-syphon doesn't help to much I wouldn't recommend using c02 with any gun w/ a noid (comment for sinfulparade: just in case the response doen't go where I want it to)
nice. i have an olive sp-8, but you really want HPA not co2, i used co2 with a remote coil in mine and froze my gun up bad, so i switched to HPA and it works great now
Just got a massive one to stick on my back! Not got a fill station for HPA so will still have to use co2 from time to time. The coiled remote hose helps the co2 expand so I sometimes get some frost at the bottle end but never freezes up at the gun end
LOL it wouldn't suprise me it it were heavier than the real thing when it's full of paint! Got a few extas to add to it in preperation for North Vs South next week which I haven't fitted yet, QEV, 20" tactical front for freak and a Bipod, also getting a 2nd hand HPA tank off my mate.
If you get the 360qev from smart parts, it just takes the place of the banjo fitting and all you have to do is screw it out as you would with any other banjo
how big? (45ci,68ci...) i am not sure how efficient sp-8's are but prob over like 1000 with atleast a 68ci 4500 tank sry i cant help u any more than that, other wise , nice gun!
i have had my marker for over a year but only used it once because i didn't know u could use co2

can you get a response trigger on a sp-8?
Paintball0945 2 years ago
Why would you want to, it already has a double and fires like 17 bps auto- RT would just add more noise.

you dont need to cause it has an electro grip inside to learn more about that research an ion its the same thing

Nice multicam
KohrsAKT 3 years ago
Haha, you need to take a closer look at that.
Its not MC. I can't be certain because of the low quality of the vid, but it looks to be German Flectarn camo.

Hard to make out with the low resolution.
Never heard of it none the less. Interesting.

you cann use co2 but it freezez up after like a hopper.
paintballlpplayer45 3 years ago
not with a coiled remote hose it doesn't!
laikarob 3 years ago
Not picking at you, but I thought you should know what you said in the comment you left.
All markers use PSI. PSI is the measurement of pressure, regardless of what source its coming from.
"PSI" stands for Pressure per Square Inch.
What you meant to say was HPA. High Pressure Air, also referred to as "Nitrogen", or compressed air. Same difference.
Hope that helps your paintball lingo.
WarCowboy 3 years ago
Quite right you are! I know what I meant hehe.
laikarob 3 years ago
PSI actually stands for Pounds per Square Inch....

It works fine with co2 and is an accurate gun, it is so accurate i almost outshot my friend who has a tippmann with a flatline
