  • nawww 41 ppl dont like kewl stuff

  • That puts a new spin on agriculture!

  • at first i thought it was a huge vw flat four!!

  • D:

  • torque?

  • One piece of shit work and get this shit of my utube mother fucker

  • No stinking eight hr day to bring the hay with this baby

  • Kinda reminds me of the Bill Cosby skit of Fat Alberts car, where they stick an engine in it from an aeroplane. I love the awesome sound as it revs up. But I wanna see it go, not just sitting there. That's like being told you can have any car you want, but your not allowed to drive it, just keep it clean and running ok, in a shed. Let it rip damnit.

  • race the cows

  • i'd take that to the streets and cruise around in las vegas. =D

  • And where does the plow or harvester fit on that "tractor"

    lol.

  • Bomba

  • can I use it to mow my lawn? i'll get it in back 5 seconds

  • like that .? do you meam fithy rich? that is very expensive way to do it.

  • great engine, I`m restoring one. An absolutely masterpiece of engineering; read the manuals and you will agree and -by the way- they are warming up it in this video.

  • This must be on Al Gore's econo-kill list...

  • @Uunster Only because he couldn't find a way to make money off of it.

  • don't drop the clutch

  • That thing aint warmed up haha

  • I admire the idea of, "Lets take the engine from that plane....and stick it on a tractor" :P We need more people in the world to think that way.

  • @neillypilot you mean more rednecks? i dont think so...

  • @neillypilot pfft screw a tractor, put it on a damn barstool and one-up those who can cram a V8 into one

  • @neillypilot It's not a new idea. These are just radial tank engines as used in WWII Sherman tanks, with tank transmission: flickr.com/photos/us_army_rolling_along/3218710072/

  • very impressive

  • (maquina responsavel pelo aquecimento global )

  • That tractor just make sound or he can moove too...?

  • Dudes, I think this is a video about a tractor,,,,,,,,, just saying

  • @CADtekk pinatubo suddenly spewed alot of sulfur dioxide at one time, thats what made the skies change color. people polluting the earth is gradual with bad, LONG term affects. While pinatubo was quick with with bad, SHORT term effect. you cant tell me that the earth is destroying itself... a thousand years ago the earth was fine. What the determining factor between present day and back then? Humans. people like you are the ones stopping us from admiting to our mistakes and fixing them.

  • Pull up google earth & look at ALL the land that is not habited. Then tell me how on earth global warming is done by man. Yes, we pollute the air & that should be an issue, as well as the land, seas & rivers. But that is a totally different scenario than global warming, which is a farce & a fake to bilk you out of your money & make the green people rich. While we're lulled to sleep by philosophies that save the trees & kill the children.

  • @kamicka23 i will tell you how... the same way the a small bullet can kill a huge elephant, a small amount of people ( compared to the size of the earth) can pollute and potentially ruin the earth. we are killing the earth, such a large thing) by taking its resources, the same way we kill elephants (such large animals) to take their tusks.

  • And i will tell you something else. with all the brilliant minds we have how has no one not thought of a way to keep mankind alive without killing the earth? theres something else going on behind the exploitation of earth.

  • Potential flaw: does the exhaust smoke block the drivers view?

  • @xIIsAsIIx hahahaha what a fail!!

  • Perhaps many of you are missing the point where air pollution is concerned.

This is one of maybe a dozen or pulling tractors in the world that use a radial engine, and yes they burn off some oil when they're started. Air pollution from fuel-burning engines is only a concern because there are over 800 MILLION cars in the world. Many of them operating every day.

Gain some perspective here before you start dis-liking this video and complaining about this ONE special-purpose vehicle.

  • 33 people suffered smoke inhalation

  • Uhm holy shit?

  • Cool. I love the sound of a radial. I collect strange and different engines and have an old Rotec radial in the back of my shop along with two old turbine engines. None run but one day when the work slows down or I retire maybe they can be projects to keep me from going insane.

  • for those who are freaking out beacuse they think this is hydrocarbons from burning fuel, thats burning oil. before most radial engines starts the oil in the crank case sinks to the insides of the bottom cylinders that aren't in TDC, if the engines pistons are not in TDC oil fills the bottom cylinders and then the prop has to be hand cranked to pump as much oil out of the cylinders as possible, the remaining oil in the cylinders and exhaust is burnt in the combustion chambers making smoke!

  • how long u recon it would take to plow a feild with that thang

  • do you think its a little rich?

  • who needs a prius when you can make a 1 mile sq are uninhabitable just by idling :D

  • you must have wasted about 20$ of fuel in this video

  • SOOO much polution, but SOOO much power, ANNDDD, POWER TAKES THE LEAD!!!!

  • Please, stop polluting our e....

Aww who gives a damn! Gimme one of those tractors!

  • It isn't even Carbon dioxide that strictly does any damage (like FOE and GP like to claim), the reality is that pollution sourced from modes of transport (planes, boats, cars etc) are only given a bad rap because they are just an easy target for the greenies. In addition, there are vast areas of the Earth that are uninhabited (no Human based pollution) huge areas of Asia, America, Africa...Oceans for goodness sake where mankind has little if any 'impact' on the environment. This beast kicks ass.

  • I'd like to see that engine puul the travtor

  • @meaep12 you wrong, it is. See "Tractor Pulling"

  • @utkua thanks for making my day, i'm still having a good chuckle from your comment

  • Don't be a retard that is not a fucking tractor!!!!

  • @Jakes720s type in tractor pulling ;)

  • If your going to put something like that on a tractor make sure it's a real tractor !!!!! Don't be a fag!! :)

  • SEEN WAY TOO MANY STERLINGS ON HERE NOT DOIING ANYTHIG... WHERE'S DE BEEF?? MAXWELL art nGORDON

  • fkn tracktor racing idiots are ruining ww2 radical engines so many beatuful engins gone becous of some faggets like to putt them in ther tracktor.... fkn tracktorfaggets.... plzz for the love of god stop putting them in tracktors and then melt the shit out of them if you know what i mean tracktors are gay geta p 51 mustang instead you noob

  • @axs12345 I agree with your sentiments but the P-51 was not powered by a radial.

  • @newforestroadwarrior yea i know butt im just saying proboble coust the same if you look at the big picture if you know what i mean

  • DRIVE IT DRIVE IT DRIVE IT!!

  • There is no such thing as global warming recent discoverys show that this process has happened a couple of hunderd times before

  • @balls2yourface And a ex-KGB agent, got to love the ex-KGB agents, had uncovered the emails of the scientists talking about global warming

(It apparently stinks... fishy, though, I haven't had the time to look at the info myself ;)

I'd like to say that I hat when politics gets in the way of science. I don't care what the scientists are doing, if it's for the perpis of increasing our knowledge then it's explainable and excusable. But, many scientist are payed to find connections from point AtoB

  • yeah baby light er up

  • you could use it to harvest bio ethanol, and then run on bio ethanol shame it would burn a years harvest in about 5 mins

  • freakin red necks

  • and wtf is the function of this piece of shit

  • @zach00attack

    awesomeness, thats its function.

  • think of the fuel rate being used right now by all the worlds large shipping vessels. probably something 50 cubic meters per second, and jets! probably another 30 cubic meters per second. volume of earths atmosphere 5,000,000,000,000,000,000 cubic meters... (quintillion)

  • @danthemanzizzle your point?

it's not a jar with little people and jets and cars, it's an ecosystem of plants, and those who live of of them, and those who give back to the plant which makes the biosphere grow. It's too big of a system to really tell what's going on...

(the "theory" is mainly based of of core samples, and under water data) but how much do we really understand about these things?

What's our % error? they don't care, it's all about the new rage, Global W@RM!NG..! (and the money)

  • @BoltOfThundor my point oh wise one is that yea its a big system and a hell of a complicated one, i mean you cant even get reliable weather predictions for tomorrow morning for crap sakes. but however large and complicated it is still a CLOSED system one in which dozens of billions of tonnes of atmospheric pollution can have an effect. and were not just talking friendly old CO2 here.

  • @danthemanzizzle Hypothetically, an asteroid might come and smash your closed system into little smithereens. Not to mention that the sun affects the weather, the distance from the sun to the earth changes, solar storms happen, lighting happens (every second or so), what if I supper nova explodes nearby won't we feel any affect?

My point is that it's hardly a closed system when you involve space, the final front tier...

  • @BoltOfThundor im merely referring to the atmosphere, we may pick up a few tonnes of hydrogen from space each year but when it comes to putting pollution into the atmosphere over the course of 300 or so years (since industrialization) it can only come out by a few ways, rain precipitates acids, plants and all "green" life stores carbon by in their bodies/stems/trunks, and replenishes our oxygen supply and in the right conditions these "carbon sinks"can be stored underground for millions of years

  • this thing is awesome, a environmentalist would have a fit XD.

  • lawnmower tractor

  • only in america

  • @joefos7 -only in america

Except that this team in Luxemborg, which is in Europe.

  • That's just so friggin' cool!

  • grocery getter

  • lmao just look at the stats and you'll laugh at the sheer magnitude of the damn thing. 18 cylinders 54 liters of displacement and a heart stopping 4500 hp!!!!!!!!

  • If you're so concerned about pollution, then cut down on carbon dioxide emissions and stop breathing....

  • i never thought farmers can be so stylish=)

  • So when is this going to be mass produced?

Every honest, hard working, real man should own at least one of these beasts!

  • I suggest that everybody read "The Manic Sun" by Nigel Calder. This explains the whole hoax of "global warming" and the CO" hysteria.

  • thats fuckin cool you should use that to run over tree huggers and grapenut eating sandle lovin freaks

  • I've got a super cool mavericky way to create a new power source. We just have to gather up all my new teabagger friends and have them all run on little treadwheels. I know they'll do it if I ask them to. Because they love me and I know how to use them. You don't have to be smart if you're as hot as me. 100k for a 30 minute speach? Who's the dummy now Katie? Even though I'm smokin' hot I still wear glasses to make me look smart. Like a librarian. Ya, a hot librarian. You betcha.

  • WTF r u talking about?

  • the easyest way to stop polution would be to stop vegetarians from farting,!stinken fn things,,,,,,,,

  • well i can not tell if any cooling is provided for this engine but this should not be too mucht of a concern for the application too wicht this machine will be put to that is tractor pulls where the engine will be at full throttle for less than a minute at a time and then merely iddling when moving by itself or beeing towed hell i have driven a car without the rad on but only 1 or two blocks to get it to the garage

  • even if global warming was true it wouldn't be our fault, People need to understand that the world is and will always be changing, there are so many different ways the weather has changed in the past 3000 years, from droughts to ice ages, to rain that causes floods where it never rained before, the world will always be changing and there is nothing that we will ever be able to do about it

  • Acctually its getting colder because of less "Blackspot" activity on the sun. Yup yup, I sure ass hell take notice of it, its been down to -40C* in Norway.

  • to those who say stop polluting, the eruption of mt. st. helens released more pollution in a single eruption than the entire history of so called human pollution, so quit your whining and start bitching about the volcanoes since you'll get about the same results either way

  • Fail. 'Mount St. Helens, at its peak activity, emitted about 2,000 tons of sulfur dioxide per day, compared with 81,000 tons per day by cars.'

  • peak activity? when it erupted on may 18, 1980 it destroyed 200 square miles of land, the ash cloud circled the entire world in days and is still in the atmosphere to this day, it released 24 megatons of thermal energy and 1.5 billion tons of ash and sulfur dioxide in a matter of 30 minutes,

  • @1986supernova That's not true though.

  • @PerfectProspect

dude, not every vehicle in the world is powered buy a R-2800 radial engine, are you suggesting we should stop flying thunderbolts and B-29 super fortresses at air shows too? if there is such thing as global warming, then enplane to me why Michigan still gets -25 degree winters, and never has reached much over the normal hot temperatures during the summer? the only negative effect i have seen from pollution so far is acid rain, which none the less still is bad.

  • may i also say, that calling us stupid rednecks, and blaming us for pollution is stupid, beacuse we are making huge efforts to stop pollution, and by far, we are not the worst. China, during the Olympics, people could not see 100 yards in front of them beacuse the smog was so thick, and they do nothing for emmitions control, isn't it funny how everyone always points fingers at us for everything.

  • @angryace13 let me just remind you that you are one of the least persicuted races. dont flatter yourself cuz a couple ingorant people imply that u r stupid

  • @robert10197

to say we are not persecuted is foolish, did i say i was the most persecuted? no we are not, but we still get enough of a bad rap that everyone thinks Americans are a bunch of redneck hicks. im not flattering myself bud, and i know very well that i am not stupid.

  • @angryace13(part 1) well i have to say im sorry, i mistook you for an idiot that that was just saying everything was blamed on rednecks because of your statement at the end of your comment. but truly the whole thing with pollution and china really makes me mad. China has not only a huge population but a high density also. compared to us they are the "greener country" if you look at it from all angles. there are way more cars in the us. most of the chinese ride bikes.

  • @robert10197

it is true, Chinas transportation consists of public transportation or small vehicles beacuse of there huge population, however... there factories are what make the pollution, and that is what makes the majority of the pollution in the world, Chinas factories have really no rules or limitations, factories... power plants... ect. Automobiles only make up a fraction of the pollution on this planet.

  • @robert10197 (part 2) China is more polluted, but they are making more effort to stop pollution than the USA. And if you think about it, over thirty percent of the goods made by the factories are exported to the usa. And btw people from other countries want to live here and i doubt they think we are a bunch of rednecks. you may not be stupid but u are still a bit ignorant.

  • @1986supernova except their is really no result, people will drive what they please until were licking the bottom of oil barrels

  • @1986supernova Instead of focusing on some politically/economically powered BS about putting a stop to "global warming" why not just say that we are looking to "improve efficiency" by any means we can find and utilize, I'm just saying...

  • @BoltOfThundor yes, artificial crises are created to increase economic stimulation, , sometimes war against so called global warming, sometimes a flu epidemic that never existed, sometimes even the war itself. These are new instruments to drive humanity, if we do not get better at filtering disinformation we will continue being stuck in 20th century in science, technology, just like we did in the last 50 years.

  • @utkua Science and technology develops with demand and investments and economic competition. The correct society's ability to manufacture technology has been revolutionized from the past several hundred years.

If you think that technology isn't being developed quickly enough, then you should look at it in a different perspective: we've, hypothetically, "just" went out of the dark ages; where development was halted by cultural, economic, and political stagnation.

  • @BoltOfThundor do note that I'm no longer referring to this video...

  • @BoltOfThundor Depending on competition ? Competition is never a sustainable status, it is only a phase, in the end some of them win, big companies emerge, those companies easily coordinate instead of competing each other. They maximize their profits instead of interests of society, rich gets richer, at some point economy reaches a homeostasis, leads to balance which slows down the "flow" therefore human development.

  • If we need some one to make up reasons up for developing, expending, and building civilization, then there are selfish, unimaginative people running the big show, in the sense, that there is always some thing to improve.

Saying that your trying to fix some thing isn't the same as trying to improve what you already have.

I hope I'm getting my point across...

  • @1986supernova mount st.helens = ash smoke rock and sulfer dioxide. human activity = nitrogen monoxides sulfer di and monoxides carbon di and monoxides and a whole bunch of other pollutants that now float through valleys and contaminate water supplies tens, even hundreds of miles from cities. so no i wont quit my bitching and i will continue reducing and eliminating my pollution whenever possible not just when its a GLOBAL WARMING CRAZE or when its convenient. word

  • @1986supernova

That fact is made up. Theres no support for that claim anywhere we might be able to calculate what was released from mt st helens, but the blast was concentrated as opposed to spread out like other polluting factors, It does not contaminate our drinking water directly, and the most important reason to ignore the fact is we have no control over a volcano erupting, we can control our pollution. Just by stopping people from being lazy and changing how we do things a bit.

  • @1986supernova Lol, Nice

  • @1986supernova Hellz yeah!!!! Climate change..... Pfffftttttt....... lol!

  • @1986supernova you are wrong on so many levels. mt st helens did NOT "release more pollution in a single eruption than the entire history of so called human pollution" you dumbshit. it only released one cubic kilometer of ash.krakatoa, taupo, kelud, pinatubo, vesuvius, tambora, etna, katmai, santorini. (part 1)

  • @1986supernova (part 2)That list goes on and on of eruptions that top that of Mt st helens. Ever heard of MT TOBA? it almost caused the extinction of mankind by decresing the world's population to 10,000 with only 1000 breeding pairs! By the way the promintent gas released by an eruption is water vapor; last time i check water isnt a pollutant. It bothers me when people like you make smart ass remarks about stuff you dont even know about!

  • @robert10197 You do realize that in the beginning of your comment you say that a volcano almost caused the extinction of mankind. There must be more than just water vapor coming out... Then in the rest of your comment you say that 1986supernova doesn't know what he is talking about? You are just plane stupid, I hate stupid people!

  • @mattg889 let me explain since you are not smart enough to understand. first i was proving that in this guy's comment his first statement is totally wrong so he doesnt know what he was talking about. cars and factories release toxic pollutants along with greenhouse gases. while volcanoes do release toxic fumes, 95 percent or more of what comes out is water vapor and ash.

  • (part 2)the reason mount toba caused a massive mass extinction is because ash blocked out the sun, not cuz of greenhouse effect, toxic gases killed the humans, and the ozone being destroyed. There are many types of Pollution but the bad stuff doesnt come from nature.

  • (part 3) And if you are going to argue that fact the think about this: the earth has been around for about 4.7 billion years, dont you think would be long enough for the earth to destroy itself if it released toxic polluntants? but that hasnt happened so doenst prove that volcanoes arent that bad?get it NOW?

  • @robert10197 I never said volcanoes are bad. I was pointing out that you were contradicting your self you arrogant idiot!

I understand that 95% of what comes out of them is not toxic, but that other 5% accounts for literally tons of pollution. If nature can handle a volcano eruption then I shouldn't think it is even flinching right now from what were doing. Yes there are some changes happening now, but that's nature adapting. That is why earth hasn't destroyed its self, it adapts! Get it NOW?

  • @mattg889 im not going to argue with an idiot.. you will just bring me down to ur level and beat me with experience cuz ur just so much of an idiot. im just so sorry ur so much smarter than me and that your views on the global environmental crisis are just way better than mine. I have proved my point and your to stupid to recognize it and you will probably still babble on about your OPINION.

  • @robert10197 Nope, I think you and your other twenty other comments make my point very well. Everyone but you will understand. :-)

  • @1986supernova o0 supernova is a explosion in the space im 14 :D

  • @1986supernova why don't you use your brain....THAT statistic was taken solely from CARBON DIOXIDE....we all know al gore is a fraud....CO2 is a natural cycle...but when we pollute with chemicals that are actually toxic it isn't good for our health(and cars do emit toxic gases) we have cause an unnatural increase in temperature do to the hole in the ozone layer, there's extra UV rays that get into our atmosphere...also can't forget COREXIT(sadly most people go HUH? or just don't care about that)

  • in your face green peace.

  • @utkua lol

  • @utkua BP wish you happy Thanksgiving

  • @carpetrug01

Stop hiding under your mother's dress.

  • helps get rid of all that pesky sun light :P

  • aren't those things designed to have a lot of air being pushed/pulled over them by a prop?

  • If they're air-cooled, then yes. But you can say that about any aircraft engine. If you move to liquid cooling, you just have to have air working the radiator, and it takes considerably less air movement to make a radiator cool as well as cooling fins. That said, the fins look a lot more bad-ass.

  • This is great, every farmer should have one. Speed plowing!!

    Cool set up.

  • HIPPY!

  • @korencek Not really an issue unless everyone goes and gets one of those.... I want one

  • @korencek

    who gives a shit!

  • indeed. gotta love it.

  • lol, the front wheels, this is a joke, or?

  • Its a a pulling tractor, the front wheels dont do much steering. Steering is done mostly by breaks going to either drive wheel. Front wheel steering is only used for staging and extremely slow travel...when pulling the front wheels dont see much time on the ground

  • dang that thing is rigged up haha

  • The smoke is from left over oil from assembly or oil that has leaked past the rings in the lower cylinders as the unit sat idle, nothing to worry about the oil quickly burns off once the engine sees load. It is common practice to run aircraft engines rich during take-off, smoke from oil is white or blue and smoke from rich running is black. Black smoke appears briefly at 0:19.

  • That's a very cool way to get noticed at a tractor pull competition :3 Old radials are air cooled, though. How do you keep it from overheating?

  • Time to haul ass

  • does it move?

  • radial engines suck...try a nuclear reactor

  • its a danish pulling team, they have two tractors with radials. they are LOUD!

i have a video of the larger one with the v8 also on in my videos

  • Great machine but just for fun. THe sound is awesome but produce to many smoke in the process.

Looking from here, I thing the structure is fragile to work in a farm.

How many litre the canister hold?

  • i've also seen such a tractor with radial engine. great, great, great, great, great

  • Looks like its being run on coal.

  • looks like it is on fire...

  • No risk destroying the chassi, it,s not that much power out of 54 litres. Have seen a similar one, but with a Keith Black v8 behind the radial engine, somewhere round 6000 hp and still couldn,t match other tractors in the same competition class.

  • more like just 2000 hp maybe

  • seems quite useless to me tbh. the power of this engine would rip the chassis apart like butter. yeah id like to see it go as well would be a cheap laugh

  • I saw this beast 2 years ago at a tractor-pulling event in germany. It worked very well and it was loud as hell :D

  • aww i wanted to see it go

  • 3 litre cylinders?? crazy stuff :D

  • ROFL

  • Sumpin's not right with this engine- that's a huge, sustained amount of smoke. Like something's broken internally. (e.g. piston rings.)

Not to mention that it appears to have very low airflow rate past the cylinders. No prop, eh? Probably see heads glowing soon.

  • airflow definaitly a problem but maybe they just runing with oil in the fuel to account for this

  • i think he is pumping to much fuel in, so all isnt burning producing the large amount of smoke

  • these are the men that built the machine and you think your idiot knowledge of engines is better than theirs?

they know full well what they are doing and if they were to run it rich they are most certainly doing it for a reason.

  • grand pappy!!!!!!!!!!! didn't have one like that on the farm

  • how the hell did you get a f*cking bomber engine!! I want one!! :)

  • ebayyyy^^

  • sure, but how would they ship it to you??

  • on the back or a lorry???

u can ship anything if you have enough money

  • lol maybe it landed on the farm after being shot down in the war ^^

  • Fuckin Blast that engine. I want to see a Full Pull! YES!

  • These engines are a peice of history. Back when there were1,000's in use no one seemed to care about globle warming, why should anyone give a shit now.

  • i Agree its no going to change everyones no going to stop driving cars ect but we probly should try to wallk bike ect where and when we can

  • While it may be true that cranking this engine produces great quantities of green-house gasses and contributes to global warming, it is NOTHING compared to Al Gore's Grumman G-2 jet that spews thousands of times more gasses than this. Run this engine guilt-free!

  • Now, with a little citronella and garlic oil in the fuel, they'll have the ultimate backyard fog machine for repelling mosquittos. SUPA!!! lol.....

  • I want one :o

  • another fabulous cinematographic achievement. I can only hope that the sequel will reveal this machine in motion and not just puffing smoke and sounding angry.

  • who gives a shit about global warming the smoke and sound is cool man if you drive a car you
