Jennifer Anniston was very good in this. She really showed alot of range in this one, however, I found the ending to be very unsatisfactory. very much so

Go look at the statistics to how much men cheat on women vs. women cheating on men lmfao. The few woman that cheat is because of how their husband treats them and they're scared of the douchelord.
Also, about this movie, I don't know why she made some of the choices she did - mostly at the end. I also don't know why she doesn't realize she was raped then got called a whore for that. ALSO, how does she know that baby isn't from THAT guy???
Anyway, I really did love this movie. I'm a writer and it made me think a little. I don't agree that this should be considered a comedy. I did laugh at some things but most of the humor attempts conflicted with the general storty line of the movie.

Great movie and great performances, but I just don't get the title. The girl cheats on her husband with two different men, she gets one of the men killed, she gets pregnant and lies to her husband about the paternity of the unborn child. So that makes her THE GOOD GIRL??? HUH?
@snorlaxic First of all, she didn't cheat with the one guy. That was rape. Any form of bribe like that is RAPE. That was not CONSENSUAL.
Secondly, there was a time and in certain areas of the country STILL you stay with your spouse no matter what. She was in that time of setting. She was unhappy with her husband and just like any person with the belief that you stay with your spouse no matter what, she found happiness away from her "pig" husband.

Would it have been better if it would have happened over something triggered with a baby around?!

I just finished watching this on Film4. It's so true, and it made me think about what could've happened! Jennifer Aniston at her best. Jake Gyllenhaal truly showing emotion. Zooey Deschanel, so subtly hilarious. I love these 3 so much, I never thought they would be in 1 movie!
This movie is fantastic. I am a huge fan of these 2 actors, especially Jake and his sexiness. Although it was a depressing movie nd how it resulted, it was kind of funny and fun in some parts.
Overall this movie is amazing. One of my favorite movies with Jake.

About two sisters who fall in love with the same guy (Butler) the guys brother (Mulroney) falls for both of the girls (Aniston & Roberts) Maybe it could be called "The Otherside of the World" Bad idea? one of my favourite movies, and still I don't get why they consider it to be a "romantic comedy" (wikipedia) and this trailer makes it seem like it's a movie to make people laugh, and it's not, it's deep and for real...I love it, I thought jennifer aniston couldn't really act until I saw this

Great movie and great performances, but I just don't get the title. The girl cheats on her husband with two different men, she gets one of the men killed, she gets pregnant and lies to her husband about the paternity of the unborn child. So that makes her THE GOOD GIRL??? HUH?

@snorlaxic First of all, she didn't cheat with the one guy. That was rape. Any form of bribe like that is RAPE. That was not CONSENSUAL.
Secondly, there was a time and in certain areas of the country STILL you stay with your spouse no matter what. She was in that time of setting. She was unhappy with her husband and just like any person with the belief that you stay with your spouse no matter what, she found happiness away from her "pig" husband.

How would you like it if you felt like that was your fault and everyone went around saying you MADE them kill theirself? He had psychological problems and was actually the only person to talk to his parents and try to get him help.

@snorlaxic All his stories had characters that were basically about him and if you noticed each story was similiar but the guy always DIED at the end so I actually had a feeling he was going to do that once he started getting crazy. Would it have been better if it would have happened over something triggered with a baby around?!
She knew she couldn't help him. He needed professional help and once she got to know him she knew he was not good to be around.

@snorlaxic Finally, when she told her husband that the baby is his, she didn't mean biologically. She meant as in they were going to raise it together. Just because someone's sperm makes a baby doesn't mean they make a father.

I just finished watching this on Film4. It's so true, and it made me think about what could've happened! Jennifer Aniston at her best. Jake Gyllenhaal truly showing emotion. Zooey Deschanel, so subtly hilarious. I love these 3 so much, I never thought they would be in 1 movie!

This movie is fantastic. I am a huge fan of these 2 actors, especially Jake and his sexiness. Although it was a depressing movie nd how it resulted, it was kind of funny and fun in some parts.
Overall this movie is amazing. One of my favorite movies with Jake.

Great movie with so truthful story line. Jake Gyllenhaal showed brilliant acting. His obsession was believable. I never found Jennifer Aniston serious or talented actress but she showed decent acting here. John C. Reilly and Zooey Deschanel were great as well.

I was just able to watch the last 40 mins of the movie as they showed it tv. I enjoyed the amount i was able to see .btw the kid is holden yeh..not the loser husband? but the real loser holden yeh..cause he's dead! Sad life.which is all so commen especially in less afluent areas.

I love that movie jen and jake are amazing and i just love the ending i know is sad but also really true so is great because we have so many movies with "good endings" when the caracters are happy for ever but this is just real.

I think Jennifer should do a really romantic movie. Maybe with Julia Roberts, Gerard Butler, and Dermot Mulroney. About two sisters who fall in love with the same guy (Butler) the guys brother (Mulroney) falls for both of the girls (Aniston & Roberts) Maybe it could be called "The Otherside of the World" Bad idea? I don't know

This was a really great movie. Jake Gyllenhal's preformance was amazing. I didnt really like the ending though. I mean, it was a good ending, it just wasnt very happy.
