Jonner, you're an idiot. You really think keeping a tax going, while the entire country (just not Milwaukee Co) fall into a recession. If anything, watching the news and hearing they may tear down the Hoan Bridge (I'm a south-sider) would ruin the image of this city/county. If the tax was continued, it should be to help pay for a new bridge to replace the Hoan.
I knew that was going to happen.. I knew that once the politicians started becoming used to collecting a higher sales tax, that they would want to expand that and or expand the length of the "Stadium Tax" which should just be used for the STADIUM of all things! Not some new bureaucratic bail out like Light Rail, when we can't even make our Transit system profitable! Imagine the cost of laying down a track! I'd rather drive through pothole filled streets than pay more in taxes!!
Well, everybody knows that Lena got her campaign chest loaded by pocket stuffers from Madison at the direction of Gov. Doyle. Yes,the same Doyle who also received $5,000.00 from former NY Gov. Eliot Spitzer. Hey, that's the same amount he spent on the prostitute!!!
Unfortunately, Scott Walker was handed a complete fiscal mess by the previous county board, several of which should be prosecuted for their disregard for their job. Mr. Walker has had to deal with HUGE payouts in the pension scandal that have drained the budget. I too love our parks and transit system, but the blame is on Tom Ament not Scott Walker. I hope he get re-elected or we will be in trouble. Unless you love seeing your already high taxes go even higher. I do live in Milwaukee County

Scott Walker has been horrific for the wellbeing and decent use of Milwaukee County tax dollars. What a travesty it will be if he continues to have any position of authority. He only has is only political aspirations in mind when destroying our parks and transit system. I'd like to know how many "Friends of Scott Walker" are actually from Milwaukee County, and not pocket stuffers from Waukesha County.
