I was listening to Victor Borges play Claire De Lune and wondered if there were lyrics written for to the tune. I googled and there you were. How lovely are your lyrics, Can I sing them/ perform them?
I told a piano player today about your worda to "Claire de Lune" today. Amazing job Merry Elllen. I am always amazed to finally hear the right words from above, Love the video as well! This is as good as it gets, and I thank you for the song!. Thank you! James
Mary Ellen: This was one of my Mom's favorite pieces of music. She passed away four years ago. The fact that you put lyrics to it is so neat. Beautiful lyrics, sweet, sweet, unique voice and a very sweet something about you. Just wanted you to know that I found it very touching. Keep singing Sweetheart!

Hello Merry, there are three beautifull things on this video, the melody, your voice and the most important You. Your video me made me smile and feel happy... Congratulations.
I was worried at first that you thought there were words to Clair de Lune. I'm pleasantly surprised that you wrote some :) I wish I could hear you sing it without trying to be quiet, you sound great!
You have a classic 1940s voice. Very sweet, and this is my favorite classical piece. Beautiful. If I have a complaint, your intro is way too long. I just want to hear the music and your beautiful voice.
Hello, really wonderful version you made!! I also wrote my own lyrics on this song, and you can watch the result on my channel..... Actually, I liked you're version so much that I 'downloaded' it, and tried to edit it by mixing it with a good piano version; wanted to make it really sound more professional... unfortunately I had to give up 'cause the piano version you use, differs too much from mine...
I have always thought (and still think) that Claire de Lune is the best song ever written. Nothing compares and it can never be overplayed. Your cover of this song could make you famous.
oh if this were only acapella! it would be so much fun to place that vocal over an ambient soundscape! delicate as lattice work while hinting at something more powerful just beneath the surface. very nicely done indeed!
Just on what you did and the fact that you did it to THAT piece of music seems like a stroke of genius to me. Bravo to you! It makes me think that is what he was thinking when he wrote it, rather that really be the case or not.
I tried to listen to "Clair de Lune" without lyrics right after that and the words still stuck in my mind. Great job!
Your singing/music allows me to, from time to time, embrace the romantic, artistic side of the human spirit that seems to be everywhere but hidden, oh so often. Thanks, as always...
Hello Merry Ellen! Loved hearing your words and melody to this beautiful old song. Also loved hearing about how it was created....very romantic of you totake us out in to the dark streets with you. :) Can't wait for the next one!
