  • Hmm, sounds really good. Still having problems with the belt?

  • @terrageist It does not have a belt just springs. I need to rebuild it.

  • Your player is very nice - I could tell from the video. My mother had an old authentic Victrola, but the sound was terrible; I could play records like those on my old 33-45-78 turntable, but the sound was often fuzzy and nasty. I wish I still had them . . .

  • @riman2man My guess the needle was worn out on that TT. It actually sounds way better in person, the mic in the camera seems to really only want to pick out the surface noise.

  • @TheMaxx111 I like a little bit of distortion on these recordings - it reminds me that they're something a little different . . .

  • Where are you finding these? This I've never heard.

  • @riman2man We have a store here that has 100,000s of thousands of 78s.

  • @TheMaxx111 I used to buy them in the 1970s for maybe ten cents a disc. Those days are long dead . . .

  • @riman2man They are $5-$7 now.....considering that is just 2 songs....I am looking to get a dedicated 78RPM TT for the electrically recorded dance band stuff I really like, this really old stuff is fun too and is really best experienced on the wind-up. I need to rebuild the motor though.
