If Coscarelli made part 5, he wouldn't answer any questions, anyway, so people should stop asking for it. Listen to the commentary on part 4. He created that to possibly be the end of the series. How much did he explain? He never intends to answer the questions, no matter how many parts there are. If part 5 happens, there will just be more questions, and then the fans will demand part 6 to answer their questions! I want to know the answers, too, but I know they're never going to come!

There's a huge fanbase of the Phantasm franchise (man I want that original Hemicuda!) If Don C. did it right and made it a bit dark and morbid with a few humorous bits and extended the sci-fi portion it'd be a huge success.
