i love this episode because of all the amazing lessons this show teaches us, i was always a little disappointed that they never put drugs/alcohol as a challenge since those are two of the biggest things teenagers face. SO glad they finally put that in

this episode is so patronizing, jesus one fucking drink at a party does not make you an alcoholic.. though the moral is good, it is too exaggerated and conceited. Drinking after you are 17 is not as horrendous as f. ex. The States makes it out to be.

@montezumaB92 it wasn't one drink, they split a pint and a beer. it was also the first time they ever drank so their tolerance was quite low

@montezumaB92 yes, it's usually true that one drink at a party doesn't make you an alcoholic, but alcoholism is genetic. someone can become an alcoholic after one drink, (however unlikely) especially if there is alcoholism in the family. this is a show that dealt with real issues, and alcohol is one, and this show can't exactly waste 4 or 5 months on a message that can be done in one episode. this is a case where the message trumps the reality of it, even if the time span doesn't seem realistic
