Byakuya is Rukia's adopted brother/brother-in-law(He was married to her sister). Byakuya is the 6th squad captain with Renji as Lt. Rukia is in the 12th or 13th squad. Her captain was the sickly white hair guy with Kian(unsure of spelling) as Lt.
