  • I love Jay-Z, and he's one of my favorite rappers but I'm not sure I'm too into his cover of this. It's good, but something about it just doesn't do a whole lot for me. Then again, I've always felt like the Beasties are a tough act to cover. That being said, I'm sure this was awesome to experience live and props to Jay-Z for the tribute.

  • Anthony McCullough violent rap feat. Jay-Z

  • IT WAS!!!! Besides the mud mess I was sinking in....!

  • already saw the B boys so was realll happy to get free tix to see Jigga at APW. Also nice tribute that he came out to this. Hope MCA gets better soon...

  • Damn I wish I could relive that moment again when Jay Z first came out on Friday! That was my first time seein him perform and he kilt it. I miss Q TiP performance just to get a good spot to see him.

  • OK, I've never been one for Jay-Z, but he was KICKASS at APW this year! I went Fri & Sat and stayed to see him just for curiousity; I was shocked. And good for him paying homage to the Beastie Boys!

  • hova fo eva

  • Anyone who goes to concerts knows that it never sounds too great - not like the album cut, anyway. The concert is more about hearing it live, the experience and if you try to record it, then it just sounds worse.

  • you must go to some shitty shows because it pretty much always sounds great live. most live recordings sound like shit though.

  • It sounded amazing live this is just shit quality

  • you dont understand ,it is all about the lyrics not the sound.

  • baddest karaoke in history

  • damn jay killed it

  • Nobody does it better

  • Um... Except for maybe the Beastie Boys.

Anyway, mad respect J, haven't felt this good about hearing his stuff since the Grey Album.

  • Very well done tribute to the Beastie Boys and to start a rock festival. Jay YOU ARE THE MAN!!!

  • The man definitely knows how to work a crowd....and show respect. Well played.

  • Wasn't a fan of Jay-Z until friday but his opening set was classic.

  • Classy.

  • Say what you will but Jay-Z is a class act.

  • Wow, that's huge.

  • how kickass was that show!?

i loved every second of it :)

  • On July 20, 2009, Yauch announced that he is being treated for a cancerous parotid gland and a lymph node and was planning to undergo surgery and radiation therapy. He said that the cancer was treatable and was not expected to affect his voice, although the group's upcoming album release and tour would be delayed.

  • He really rocked the crowd and had everyone's hands in the air.

  • this gave me goosebumps! classy tribute

  • ¡Chingón!.. :)

  • AWESOME!!
